This place is dirty, the subway is gross. Most importantly the never put paper in pumps for receipts in hopes you will come in and buy something from their nasty store. Real pain in the ass if ypu a have a fleet vehicle. Go to loves across the street. read more

We stopped by this gas stations a few minutes before heading to All Season Apple Orchard. This station was right off the expressway and really easy to get to. There were actually a bunch of gas stations at this exit but we chose this one because it was just easiest to get to. There were plenty of parking options for people just running in to grab a few things inside. The pump stations were clean and gas was fairly priced. No one acknowledged me while I was in the store but people just seemed busy in general. The bathrooms inside were very tidy! I have very low expectations when using gas stations bathrooms but these were very clean. The store also had plenty to offer from snacks to cold/hot beverages. One thing that could have been helpful is if they had another person checking people out. Other than that it was a fine place to stop! read more

I got caught up on the tollway and wasn't going to make it to my destination before needing both gas and a restroom. This exit didn't require a toll. But I certainly wish I had waited for another service station. Getting gas was painless enough. Inside though....the bathroom was pretty icky. But beyond that....in about half of the store part of the building, the ceiling tiles were gone, buckets were set up everywhere collecting dripping water (just water? let's hope it was water?) and an island area, where one might expect to find coffee and pre-heated ready to eat goods (I wanted the coffee) was roped off as it was under the most damaged part of the ceiling with mop buckets and plastic pail catching even more dirty, dripping water. I don't generally take this route to get to my destination, but you can BET I purposely avoided it on the way home. I would hold it no matter what, if I were driving by and had to pee. read more

Expectation level: It's a truck stop. The US 20 exit is the only stop between the city of Belvidere and Elgin (Randall Rd). Therefore its a frequent stop Pros: -This is one of the last stops before the burbs that the costs will be relatively low when compared to Cook County. Price per gallon can be anywhere between a 25 to 75 cent price difference -Convenient Subway inside, or McDonalds next door. Its strong in location and convenience access. 2 ATM's inside -Despite a lot of the negative posts about the rest rooms, they were vastly improved in mid 2017. Previous reviews were correct in nastiness in the past. I stop here for the restrooms a lot during my travels to and from Chicago and I find it comfortable Cons: -Is this place any better than most modern gas stations? Probably not. -Paid air compressor. I hate it when gas stations charge a buck for 3 minutes of air Bottom Line: -I can't speak for the truckers, but as a car commuter there isn't anything about this place that will "prevent" me from coming here on a westbound I-90 commute. If you want don't to stop here, no worries. Pick another gas station down the street or wait 17ish miles until the next exit :) read more

Excellent c-store, with a wide variety of merchandise. Subway was pretty good. They have good grab and go sandwiches here too. Truck parking is a bit disappointing. If you look on satellite view on Google maps, looks like they could easily expand the parking lot. It's also unlit, add that with tight back side parking, be sure you're here early as others mentioned. read more

Staff friendly, helpful, and willing to help customers. Management is understanding and listens when you interact with them, and not "SPEAK AT THEM"... Rude demanding people are seen there on occasion, but in today's world they are the speed bumps everyone has to manipulate around. They have been under a limited staffing situation during the past few months. read more

Went to update IPASS transponder and was abruptly told that they only accept original letters and wouldn't accept the barcode from the email on the phone. Said they wouldn't even accept a printed off version from email... that it had to be original so they wouldn't help us. Required pre-payment inside for any gas. read more

They advertise a lower price on gas if you pay with debit but that is only for the road ranger debit card. It is misleading. They should not even have a lower price on their sign. It's really not worth if making your customer angry when they find out after filling up that they don't get the lower price. Will I be returning? Nope! read more

it's a very dirty place. toilet pissed, on the floor lying toilet paper used. expensive gasoline. the territory around is also dirty, papers and empty bottles. terrible service, the staff is rude and not friendly. People who work there cause a negative and disgrace the beautiful state of Illinois! read more

This place should be condemned. Tell me why you do not take cash? I was going to spend $60 on gas and get some food but now I guess I'm going to your competition next door. You don't have change for a hundred! I guess being a truck stop that would just be stupid. I never stop at road Ranger so I guess I know why now. What an insult to tell me that you don't take cash because you're afraid of crime. That's not my concern my concern is to pay for my goods. Or maybe I should just steal like everybody else!
