Entering Yosemite Valley

We rented an RV for a trip to Yosemite. Brett could not have been kinder, more patient or more helpful. The service he and Zane provided was above and beyond our greatest expectations. There were a small handful of technical issues with our RV but, more often than not, the RS staff was able help us sort through them. We would unquestionably patronize this company in the future and we are happy to recommend them to our friends and family without reservation.

1st RV Trip - Lake Cachuma

Just got back from our first RV experience and it was a smashing success, thanks to Road Shark RV (RSRV). This was a multi-family (4-families) RV trip to Lake Cachuma and we were the only family who used Road Shark RV, while the others used the big competitors. I am currently waiting for RSRV to pick up the RV from my home. They have an extremely affordable drop-off service as well, saving you time and unnecessary stress as you embark on or return from your trip. I communicated several times with Kyle, and he was very quick to provide a detailed response. HUGE plus. I have Allstate insurance and all that RSRV required was that I provide them with Allstate's 1-page proof of insurance and did not get hassled or told that "YOU MUST get our insurance," which is what almost all competitors require so they increase their profit off your trip. Take that into consideration. BTW, my Allstate agent only needed the year, make, model and vehicle VIN to ensure coverage. This was the deal-maker for me because I HATE add-ons and hidden costs. With RSRV, they are upfront and actually said they preferred that I provide my own insurance, of course, after making sure their vehicle is fully covered. RSRV's no pressure, simple and trustworthy transaction, along with their accessibility during the trip, made this an Epic first RV experience for my wife of 30 years (today!) and my recent college grad daughter. I'm definitely planning to be a repeat customer. Thank you Road Shark RV!

We rented 2 RVs for a week, a total of 11 people- 6 of which were adults. From beginning to the end, Road Shark provided great service, they were on call if we had any issues or had a question. They were able to drop off and pick up the RVs for us in OC, which made it very convenient while we tried to load everything up. The RVs themselves were very easy to drive and had so much more space than you'd imagine. The sleeping arrangements worked out well for us, it's more spacious than we originally expected, especially with the pop out. They literally have a run down on everything, how to use the amenities, how to use the waste dump, refill the water- everything is available on their YouTube channel. We had a great trip and were able to make so many memories!

I went on a trip recently with my friends and we decided to rent from Roadshark RV! One of the best decisions we've made as a group. There was six of us total and the RV was perfect for all of us. Kyle is absolutely amazing during this whole experience and available 24/7.At one point he answered while in the middle of the ocean diving to help us do our hook ups via FaceTime. I would highly recommend using road shark RV for any of your road trip adventures. We will definitely be renting from them again.

Our RV and our Boston at our camping site.

Brett was very responsive during the process of renting and delivered the RV himself. Really kind and patient walking us through the RV. The price for renting the RV was reasonable; and there's so many add on options to make your life easy. We added our dog, grill, and WIFI. Note: the WIFI is hotspot that you connect to an IPAD. We didn't end up using it because all the places we went to have connections. They have linens, and all the basic kitchen stuff. It was really easy to make a meal. Their fridge is a decent size with freezer. I was really amazed. We packed 8 days of food in there and it wasn't an issue at all. There was so many storage spaces. The provided three rolls of toilet paper, gloves and trash bags, and also sanitary pods to drop in the toilet. The RV was super clean too. I have to admit, It was a bit to hard to get a hold of Brett while we were on the trip, but eventually we did and he's always extremely apologetic for the delay and very workable. Texting him was best! I think he's super busy multitasking with future customer and those like us on the road- we don't blame him. We extended our trip a day because we were having such a great time as a first time RV travelers, so when we came back, Zane came to pick it up. He was very responsive, understanding of issues in our RV; and messaging him afterwards for any questions was extremely easy with quick response time. They really make the whole trip easy! We loved it! We definitely wanted to rent a few more times before purchasing one of our own and RV Shark Rental definitely is the place to rent. They guys are super chill and knowledgeable of RVs and RV life. Brett even gave me a few routes when we were deciding where to go! I was told they also sell RVs and at a decent and reasonable price too. It really is something to try, at least once! The experience of driving around places without time restrain really help you to connect with nature and the present and help you disconnect from time. It was such a relaxing vacation!

Had the whole place to ourselves at Red Rock Canyon!

We had an amazing experience renting from Road Shark RV! The RV was spacious and very clean. Solar panels kept us charged while dry camping- barely needed the generator. Kyle was great- lots of tips and very responsive with all our questions along the way. We will definitely be renting from them again!

If you're looking for an RV, especially if you're a first timer, then this is the place. I talked to two RV owners on Outdoorsy and three rv companies before going with Road Shark, and I feel I made the right choice. Things I was concerned about, or had questions about, like taking the rv in cold weather or early pickup / late drop off, they were helpful with. they even brought it over the night before we where supposed to leave so we could get packed up and on the road early - at no extra charge. I mean, how freakin' cool is that?! Their flexibility and kindness is one of their shining points. They made everything easy. While on the trip they answering texts or calls, immediately. I also didn't feel nit picked on pricing. Their dumping, gas, drop off, propane, and milage prices are lower then the other 5 places I talked to. The daily price for the RV, well, I think you get what you pay for. It's a freakin' nice rv! They try and take good care of them. The upholstery was new, as was the toilet. There was some damage to the back and front curtains and a vent cover was missing. Not a deal breaker. When talking to the owners they had planned on fixing them before our trip it's just things are back logged with Covid and the high demand for RV's, especially since we reserved our for Christmas time. The parts simply didn't get to them in time. Their kindness and helpfulness and the overall great condition of the 2 yr old rv way overshadowed these little problems. The Shark 1 we rented was easy to drive and fill up at the gas station. After two days we where pros at using all the bells and whistles. You just get a lot for your money, and I can't stress enough how amazingly helpful and kind the owners are. It's like you're renting from a friend, not a company. If you're trying to decide between Road Shark and another company, over a couple hundred dollars, Road Shark is definitely worth the upgrade!

Family owned and dedicated to making every step of renting a high quality capable RV a simple process. Absolutely the nicest people I've ever dealt with. They went out of their way to meet me at the RV drop off point. They also decorated the inside of the RV for my son's 7th year anniversary with his girlfriend. Total was about $540 with mileage. I took it to thornbroom beach campground in Malibu. Overall it was awesome: The bed wasn't as soft as I'd like and a lot of piece healing parts which resulted in gaps and seatbelts in the way. The storage cabinets were very small but you can put stuff on top of them. I had to take down the table to make space for my 2 coolers, ez up etc, but you have the option to put stuff on the roof if you wanted. The signup could've been clearer. I picked a time at booking only to realize they send you an email to pick a time later so the time selected upon requesting means absolutely nothing. Make sure you look for that email and watch the video. Returning is a breeze but would be nice for later times: I'd rent them again.

I will never use this service again and need to share this experience to prevent anyone else from using it as well. 1.) The Fees-- we had initially chosen to go with this company because of the low cost however, the additional mileage fees are outrageous. The listed price per day was about ~$33. After selecting a van, an additional fee of $30 is added to each day. The catch there is that that only includes 100 miles. On top of the $63 per day, you're being charged 30 cents per mile. You'd have to assume that anyone taking these vans is going long distance. That extra .30 cents adds up quickly. 2.) Rodents & Trash-- I was told that they deep clean these vans, however, in the front windshield there was a parking pass from the people who had used the van previously. On top of that, our van was infested with a mouse! We heard it in the middle of the night eating our food and crawling around. We stepped out and turned on the lights only to be face to face with a grey mouse staring back at us. I would believe that they do routine checks for these things, but considering that there was left over trash right there in the front windshield has me thinking they don't do a thorough job of cleaning. Unacceptable 3.) Misc. -- the heater wasn't even working in the rear side of the van. We hit low tire pressure just an hour into driving. The radio is extremely outdated, (make sure to bring your aux cord from 2016!) I would give 2 stars, however, we were having car troubles and were late to return the van, I'll throw on an extra star since that additional fee was waived. To close this, there's many other options out there with decent prices and FREE unlimited mileage-- don't let SEO and listed low prices get in your way when researching quality rentals for your next trip.

The one down side for me is I'm short under 5'2" and the toilet is way to high and the bed is also. Bring a couple step stools. Other things to bring are paper products like paper towels, cups, plates, TP, dish soap, sponge, and hand soap. Also bring plastic gloves if you're going to dump your black tank your self. Another thing I would recommend is a motion sensor light for the bathroom since the light is above the toilet and struggled to reach it without the step stool. More than enough storage. This rig has over 106k miles on it. There is some wear and tear on it, but the most notable was a broken couch which I didn't notice till we got to camp and sat on it. The middle is caved in so we didn't use it since it was only the 2 of us. The other downside was we picked it up with only 1/4 of the gas tank full. So we had to go fill up. But what went well is they do fill the water and propane was full. The fridge will go off during traveling so make sure you get level and turn it back on. The light should be green.
