There's one large, single toilet to the side (which is also for disabled users - hand rails etc) but only a towel to dry hands - a hot air drier would be a better idea. The pool table area is nice, several tables and fairly spacious. The restaurant area was kinda meh. The food was terrible. Seriously. Me and my partner paid best part of £20 (not including drinks) for a vegetable lasagne and steak and ale pie. The vegetable lasagne was blatently nuked to perfection, and the steak pie was more like minced beef in gravy with a lid on the top. If you want to know what a real vegetarian lasagne or steak and ale pie are like, visit The Friars Vaults and Jolly Boatman respectively. And incidentily, I ordered garlic bread, not garlic bricks. So dry and overdone, I could have chained them together and made myself a lovely yet lethal pair of nunchucks. The staff in the restaurant at least were efficient, and the girl in particular who served us was very nice, but the others were congregating and gossiping which was a tad off-putting. Shame about the food, as due to its location, its food is going to naturally be one of its stronger selling points. However, I'll give it two stars instead of one for the reason that you employ the wonderfully quirky and friendly Christopher Williams. Hell of a lad, he is.

Given that the garden is situated right next to the road it's not exactly relaxing though. What's more impressive about the Glen is the food. The restaurant is situated in a conservatory which has been added as an extension, and feels a lot more upmarket than the rest of the pub. They do an amazing Sunday lunch, and it is always busy so you would definitely be advised to book. The rest of the menu is delicious too, and I have never had a bad meal here. The service can sometime be a bit slow, particularly when they are busy, but the staff always remain pleasant and polite, and are usually apologetic if you have to wait.

Is there a better-located caff in the whole of the UK?…read more Nope. The Dennis juts out over Tenby's picturesque Castle Beach (one of four sandy beaches in the town) and does its job very well. Order at the counter, then plonk yourself in one of the seating booths - if you're lucky you'll get a window seat overlooking the beach, sea and St. Catherine's Island - and way to go! The menu is fairly standard caff fayre, including breakfasts, omelettes, jacket potatoes, things on toast, but with a few daily specials chalked on the boards on the wall. A tip - if plumping for the toast, choose brown: it's granary and thick, and knocks spots off its thin white counterpart. The cafe only opens from April until the end of October, and during the rest of the year you'll have to look on as a select group of wizened locals are allowed entrance daily throughout the winter for an early morning cuppa before it shuts for the rest of the day. What goes on behind the green door during those months? Perhaps I'll be fortunate enough to join the inner circle one day...
