We decided to head over for what we remember as tasting time at Teller Wines to taste and buy our favorites for the trip. On walking in things looked decidedly different. Gone were all of the well labeled and curated bins of wine. There now was a row and a half of spirits In a store that looked disjointed. Ok. They also don't seem to be doing wine tastings. Ok. We could hear the movie the person working was watching - intently apparently because he didn't come over to offer any help or assistance - a hallmark of the old Teller Wines. We browsed the aimless rows a bit, still we could hear the movie playing loudly. Wondered if the guy would acknowledge us coming in. After a bit of browsing we decided nothing struck as as worthy of purchasing so we walked toward the front of the store to leave. As we walked past the counter I can only imagine the guy working there was relieved that he would need to stop watching his movie to help us. Never said a word to us and we left. It's not the same Teller Wines we adored. Before you could count on a knowledgeable person helping you with a selection from a well curated stock. Now the wine stock is much thinner, not well curated or organized and there is a guy working there who clearly likes watching movies. We won't be coming back.

The folks at Bin 66, at no charge to me, work with one of my instructors to pull wines for me to do blind tastings. Not only do they (primarily Derek) provide this service, it speaks to the bandwidth of the wines they either have on their shelves, and if not, it speaks to the outstanding customer service Derek provides by ordering wines for me that he either does not carry or currently have on the shelves. I recently moved from Houston, Texas where there was a plethora of outstanding wine stores and thought I'd never find anything comparable. Imagine my happiness when I found Bin 66. They had a lot of liquor and a decent selection of wine. But I'm a beer guy and that's what I was there for. They had a broad selection of domestic mass market beers but not so much in the craft beer space. However, I was able to pick up a few decent beers and the prices were super reasonable! Very friendly cashier and they have a nice assortment of snacks by the front door if you need a nosh after you buy your booze. One note, they don't take Amex.

The gentleman had my purchase rung up and bagged, I was sure of the Miller beer I purchased, but I was not 100% sure on my other purchase and the lady kindly told me,instead of a large bottle, I could get 2 different smaller bottles.I said, that's ok, he already has my purchase rung and bagged, I am not going to have him cancel my order and ring up something else... both assured me, they did not mind... I was glad to keep what I had. Latter I looked on the Internet and realized the store closed at 7:45 not 8pm. Low prices, customer service and kindness is served here.
