A coworker treated me to a nice early birthday lunch since I was traveling out of town for my actual birthday, and Roaring Fork absolutely knocked it out of the park! The food was completely spot on from start to finish. I opted for the tenderloin sliders, which were incredibly flavorful and perfectly captured that premium, wood-fired quality in a bite-sized starter. I paired them with a delicious cocktail that balanced the rich, rugged Western American flavors beautifully. Our server was so attentive and polite. The atmosphere is casual which makes it suitable for just about any event--nothing extraordinary or over-the-top special, but very nice, clean, and comfortable for a meal.

Cool atmosphere. Restaurant/bar with Wood decor right off the adjacent hotel. Had a fire blazing as well for ambiance. Super nice staff. My waitress was helpful and conversational. Had a steak and grits for main and a wedge salad to start

I normally am not one to eat at the hotel. However, sitting at the hotel looking at Yelp reviews around me this place just below my room was a clear option. Their food was incredible quality! Ambiance of a genuine fire and classic bar makes this place special. It is a tad on the pricey side but worth it!

We came here before the magic show as we had not been in some time. It is very close so it is handy. Our server was friendly and quick and the food was all very good. The cornbread is amazing and the drinks were solid. It is pricey but not so much so that you have to take a loan out. The food is worth it but given it's location and cost we save it for special nights out. I highly recommend them if you are in the area, the have a pretty wide selection of food and drinks and everything we have tried in our 2 visits has been very good.

Holy cow... a home run. The guac was light and so tasty... we shared a Cesar salad that had amazing garlic. The tuna was perfect... so tasty and flavorful. The shrimp and grits was a huge portion... so many different flavors... great server and a good time.

Great food. We got there with a group of 4 during happy hour, no reservation, but bar was open seating. Bar top was nice, felt like we were sitting in the dining room with the great service we received. Wine and cocktails were great. Happy hour prices were reasonable. We all tried a bunch of different apps. All great! Tortilla soup was awesome. Didn't photograph it, but it's poured tableside, tons of flavor and avocado is plentiful. Best tortilla soup I've ever had, tbh. Big ass burger was on happy hour and it was huge. Chile Verde also on happy hour and was also a huge hit. We tried the queso on HH as well, and it was made with the pork from the Chile Verde. Queso was a bit thin, served in the skillet, but got thicker after it cooled after a few minutes. Flavor was great. We ordered the main menu rotisserie chicken that came with a side of cornbread stuffing, it was phenomenal. 10/10. Chicken was juicy and well seasoned. Hubby got the 22oz ribeye. Cooked perfectly, had a great crust. Also delicious and worth the price. Creme brulee dessert was also great! Highly recommend this location. Parking wasn't bad, parked on street nearby.

We ordered bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeños, iceberg BLT salad, asparagus, and ribeye (not the best steak ever, but good). All the food was great, as was the employee who helped us with our meal. Prices were reasonable. Ambiance - nice, not uppity.

Everything about this please was top tier!! The jalapeños appetizer and the Mac and cheese side were my favorite and would eat them everyday. Ambiance was a little loud but they were busy and were still able to hear our table Service was great. Clay took great care of us

This was my first time here. We dined during their Fourth of July buy-one-get-one-free special. We were able to sit in the bar area and take the opportunity to explore their Happy Hour Menu. The Happy Hour Menu is a tad limited; however, we made the best of it. I had their Classic Vodka Martini. My dining partner initially ordered the Little Larry; however, the freeze machine was not up to full speed, so she opted for the RF Margarita with Mango. My martini was what I expected. Nothing fancy but strong on the vodka side. Her margarita was not great, leaving a noticeable aftertaste. Our server brought some simple syrup which helped. Eventually, she did get the Little Larry though. For our starter we had cornbread which was very appealing to the palate. It was perfect portion wise for the two of us. Alas, the main course. She opted for the 22oz Cowboy Cut Ribeye, medium rare. I selected the 16oz New York Strip, medium rare as well. Both were scrumptious and satiated our healthy appetites. I will say, mine was a tad more pink than I wished, yet fulfilling as well. The ambiance was like being on a movie set made to appear from the 20's with a touch of modernity that added additional flair. Our server, Caitlin, I think I spelled it right, was great and very accommodating to my dinner partner regarding her cocktail. Very kind. My first impression of Roaring Fork was good. I liked how you do not have to sit at a table to enjoy the BOGO, which afforded us the opportunity to partake in their Happy Hour. My suggestion would be to add a few more cocktails on the HH menu. If you are in the mood for a nice dinner in a throwback/modern setting with friendly and accommodating staff, go try the Roaring Fork DT. I feel you won't be disappointed .

Visited Roaring Fork for their Memorial Day buy one get one free special. It was a great deal because you can sit in the bar area and also take advantage of the happy hour specials. We started off with the Small Larry frozen margarita topped with grand mariner and Frozen RF Margarita with mango. For the starter, we split my favorite salad, the spinach Waldorf salad made with spinach, mixed greens, avocado, grapes, hardboiled eggs, white cheddar, dates, candied walnuts, apples and sweet onion dressing. For the entree, I had the seasonal fish which was the halibut with a burre blanc sauce. For the $60 price point the fish was not extraordinary and there was a miscommunication that the fish would be prepared with a crust but the fish I received just had the sauce and would have preferred the crust as described. Also ordered the bone-in cowboy cut ribeye all natural black angus steaks specially aged by fred linz in chicago hand cut in house served with chipotle demi, chimichuri, and shallot butter. My steak was missing the chimichurri sauce but was prepared medium rare to perfection and the meat just melted in your mouth it was so tender. We had the seasonal dessert which was a peach cobbler with blackberry ice-cream. Roaring Fork has a great reward program and you can earn points for discounts to your bill. There were a few issues with our dining experience including the miscommunication with the fish preparation and missing chimichuri sauce on the steak, but overall an enjoyable dining experience.

I stayed at the hotel that is connected to this restaurant and this place was highly recommended. The environment was classy and quaint. My husband had dinner, and we each tried the steak. I had the 8 oz filet and it was perfectly cooked medium rare. It was juicy and flavorful. We shared 2 sides, and the green chili macaroni was outstanding. The service was friendly and timely. We liked it so much that we will enjoy our New Year's Eve meal here.

Took my daughter here for a birthday dinner. Per reservation we were seated immediately. We had the skillet cornbread for appetizer. It had enough green chile to give it a nice flavor, but steered away from being too spicy. The texture was crisp outside and soft inside. Excellent. She had the filet mignon with bearnaise sauce. We asked for medium rare, they cooked it rare. The bearnaise sauce was somewhat heavy on the vinegar. Missed some on the execution, but it did not ruin the meal nor evening. We shared mashed potatoes, green chile mac n cheese, and asparagus. I had the tortilla soup for entree, as had eaten a hearty lunch earlier. The green chile Mac n cheese was the best side. Outstanding. Mashed were standard fare. The asparagus seemed to be served plain. We helped it out with salt & pepper, made it fine. The presentation on the tortilla soup was fantastic. The main plate was a tower of rotisserie chicken encased by avocado and surrounding fried tortilla strips. The waiter separately had a dressing cup filled with the soup broth. They placed the chicken/avocado mound plate in front of you, then poured the broth into the 'moat' area between the mound and the edge of the soup plate. Bites incorporating all ingredients were excellent. We had huckleberry cheesecake for dessert. Served on a plate with 'Happy Birthday' written in chocolate, and atop a raspberry drizzle underneath. The texture of the cheesecake was literally perfect - and one cannot go wrong, ever, with huckleberry anything! Delectable. The lighting inside was perfect. Muted lights were bright enough, making it easy to see, yet dark enough to have a relaxed pleasantness to the atmosphere. This was a 5-star experience. Our server was very pleasant, and service was on point throughout. Definitely recommend for a nice dinner or special occasion.

I'm writing this while we're still here because the service has been that amazing. Now onto the food... My wife ordered the sausage, and she's absolutely obsessed with it. It's technically on the starters menu, but she always gets it as her main course because it's just that good. My son and I both ordered the 20-ounce Koji Coffee-Crusted Cowboy Ribeye, cooked medium-rare. When I say it melts in your mouth, I mean it. The coffee crust adds the perfect amount of texture and crunch without overpowering the steak. I highly recommend it. For sides, we shared the mac and cheese and the corn crème brûlée, and both paired perfectly with our steaks. We also started with the pork chop bites, which continue to be an absolute home run. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the applesauce takes the flavor to another level. The only minor critique I have is that the bread wasn't quite as soft and warm as it usually is. But honestly, that's such a small detail in what was otherwise an outstanding meal. To finish, we had the Vanilla Orange Cheesecake and the Lemon Bar. The Lemon Bar was delicious, although I wish the center hadn't been quite so cold. The toasted marshmallow on top, however, was absolutely perfect. The Orange Cheesecake? Incredible. Total Dreamsicle vibes, and I would order it again in a heartbeat. What really made this evening unforgettable, though, was Alex. He has officially set the standard for what exceptional service looks like. Every server I have from here on out has some big shoes to fill. Perry's, if I can't have Alex next time, I hope the service is held to the same incredibly high standard because he truly made this experience special. Overall, Perry's came out swinging tonight. I can't honestly call it a perfect 10 because of a couple of tiny details, but it was absolutely a perfect 5-star experience. Thank you for an unforgettable evening and for making my son's birthday one to remember!

The complimentary bread and butter were also mouthwatering--I honestly wanted another roll. For drinks, we asked for something refreshing, and Delina delivered. My husband had a cocktail that reminded him of an Aperol Spritz with a mojito twist, while the watermelon hibiscus margarita was absolutely perfect for the weather. We shared a Caesar salad and ordered the Dean's Style steak with the sauce on the side. This was the one dish that left me a little disappointed. The steak wasn't as juicy as I expected when cutting into the center, but thankfully, having the sauce on the side helped elevate the flavor. I highly recommend the truffle béarnaise sauce--it was delicious. The atmosphere and service were excellent, and Delina truly made our evening enjoyable. While I think we've had better steaks at a lower price point, the ambiance and overall experience still made for a memorable birthday dinner.

The octopus was a bit overcooked. 10 Oz Beef Filet With Fresh Blue Crab Fonduta ($72): My husband and friend both loved the blue crab fonduta which had a strong blue crab flavor. The beef filet was nicely cooked but lacked flavor and the slice was cut a bit too thick for my taste. I'm assuming they keep it on the blander side so it doesn't compete with the fonduta but I would have liked a little more salt.

There's usually something on the menu for everyone, which makes it such an easy choice for almost any occasion. Their happy hour is one of my favourites in Austin. The mini martinis are served on a martini tree, which makes the experience especially fun, and they also make an excellent dirty martini--perfectly ice cold and well balanced. The beef tartare is another standout and easily one of the best in town. It's always topped with an impressively large egg yolk, which I love. Murray's is an easy recommendation for anyone in East Austin looking for a relaxed, lively atmosphere and a satisfying meal.

I realized I don't like martinis but I'm assuming there's as well-made. It also came with some free oysters because it was oyster day. We got the fish and chips and I was pretty disappointed by the fish. Even though the batter was tasty, the fish inside was pretty meager. The green beans are surprisingly tasty. We watched a couple World Cup games there and it was a nice environment for that. They also have ample patio space. Service is pretty fast too. Overall a fun place to get a beer and hang.

Mouth still salivating from the food. When I say amazing, that's an understatement…read more Let me backtrack. Parking is limited and they sent a message stating so and to arrive early. Got a spot right up front which happens to be the entrance to the butcher/shop area. Nice sign directed me to the rear of the restaurant for the host and was sat immediately for my 6:15 reservation as I arrived early around 6pm. Jordan was the person taking care of me and they did a wonderful job. Great recommendations. Started with the grilled shrimp and they were tasty and I can't put my finger on what made it taste different. Perhaps the lime zest? Devoured those quickly. Next up was the antelope leg and y'all ain't never had it before but would order it again. Cooked amazing, easy to eat and those fries?!? Bye, just bye. I could do a whole plate of those and not bat an eye. Dessert was the basque cake and as anticipated fell inline with the rest of the meal. As you can see no plate (even the shrimp) was returned with something on it. Sooooo good. If you're looking for a new place to try, do it.

Woah! Smells so good here. Came here for brunch with no reservation. Got the biscuits with gravy…read moreand the Dai due breakfast (adding the sausage patty for $9). The biscuits are the BEST I've ever had. Soft and fluffy in the middle with lots of layers with a nice crunch on the outside. How?? So good. Kimchi and sour vegetables in the rice made everything pop and the star of the breakfast dish was the sausage. So glad we added it on! Otherwise, it's still a decent vegetarian dish. Portions are small compared to the price but I loved trying antelope for the first time. When the food came out, I thought the antelope patties looked burnt, but they aren't burnt at all and are full of flavor. The inside was full so we opted to sit on the outside patio, which had fans and pretty lush greenery. The restrooms are gender-neutral with changing tables, perfect for people with babies. I would love to come back to try their dinner menu!
