I am a Los Angeles based buy and hold investor. Robert and Dawn have been my go to agent for Bakersfield properties since 2012. I bought my first property at the end of 2012 with Robert and Dawn and bought a second one in June 2015. In the past 2 months I sold both properties through Robert and Dawn. Robert and Dawn are extremely nice and responsive. Things I like about them: 1. They are very knowledgeable about the local market, the area, school districts and the rent market. Any houses I ask them about, they can give me an accurate rent estimate and cashflow analysis. In addition, they have their own investment properties so they are familiar with the rental market. The first house I bought has no issues with being rented out and I am extremely pleased with that. 2. As buyer agents, they are extremely patient and never push you into any decisions. Before I purchased the first property, I came to Bakersfield twice to see more than 10 houses and I didn't like any of them. I also put in offers for a few houses. It took me a while before I decided on the first investment property and I am happy that I wasn't pushed into the purchase decision at all. Robert and Dawn gave me enough time to decide and if I don't like it, OK fine, move onto the next prospective listing. 3. They always try their best to help me get the best price possible. During the purchase process of my second investment property, there were several back and forth with the seller and Dawn was able to help me get $2000 credit after we read the house inspection report. 4. They have great connections with contractors and gardeners. They referred extremely reliable contractor and gardener to me after I bought my investment properties. The people they referred gave me very fair price quote and did quality jobs. I will continue to trust Robert and Dawn for other referrals in Bakersfield real estate market. 5. My recent sale experience with Dawn and Robert have been extremely pleasant as well. Dawn helped me take care everything remotely from hiring gardener (after my property owner ditched me), getting carpet replacement, arranging for water turn on (after my tenant left), to encouraging me to go to accountant for any 1033 tax savings. I have nothing bad to say about them. The only thing I wish I did differently is that I should have gone to their recommended property manager after I purchased my investment properties. My own property manager was non responsive after knowing that I have decided to sell the house. So glad Robert and Dawn picked up the slack....I greatly appreciate it!!!! read more

I have purchased and sold two more homes with their help and my husband and I have recently purchased our new home in February. I couldn't have done it without them. With selling and purchasing my homes throughout the years, Robert and Dawn have made everything so easy. All I ever had to do was sign paperwork and go on with my day while they took care of everything, and they really looked out for me and my family. Once they get to know you and know the type of home you like, they are instantly on top of it and have a list of homes ready for you to take a look at. They contacted the company that supposedly repaired the laundry room door and asked them to come back out and to fix it ASAP for us, and it was done! Then they called the home warranty company for us regarding the dishwasher and they were able to get a technician out to our home ASAP. When the technician told us the dishwasher had to be replaced and the home warranty company told us that they weren't sure when we would get a replacement or a check for a new dishwasher. Robert and Dawn went out of their way to go and buy us a new dishwasher, with installation and all. I don't know any realtor that would do that for their clients. It's been 4 years of working with Dawn and Robert Morris. My fiance and I have now bought 2 properties and sold 2 properties within the last four years of working with them. They are a power couple. Each person has their unique abilities and there attention to detail is phenomenal. I have learned a lot from them. WOW! These two are amazing. We had a complicated deal and they were top notch the whole time. We were selling my father's house as he had passed away. We had to go through probate and I, being the executor, live 4.5 hours away. There were several delays and problems due to probate that arose during the time we put the house on the market until the time it actually closed and these two were wonderful throughout the whole process. I worked mostly with Robert, and would never have know that he, himself, was dealing with a family member's severe illness while he was working. He never left me hanging, always returning my calls the same day. I felt very comfortable leaving the process in his hands. If he needed something and I didn't get it back to him right away (which I tended to do), he would always follow up and be sure I got the paperwork. He was very realistic in the assessment of what we could sell the house for and we got multiple offers within the first few days of listing the house. He was honest and straight forward in his opinions and was very easy to talk with. Dawn was just as wonderful, although I didn't work with her as much as I did Robert. The one time I did meet her to go through the house, she was equally as wonderful and realistic. I think being realistic in this market is a plus. We needed to get this house sold and I didn't want to play games. These two were God-sent! The inspector found some items that needed repair as the house is older but Robert again negotiated and were able to get all the repairs done paid for by the seller.
