I was really looking forward to seeing this monument, I mean it's Rabbie Burns, he's basically the man of Scotland and because of that fact I expected a grand and touching tribute, I at least expected to see a bronze statue of the man himself like the Scott monument, but all there was to symbolise Robert burns was his name, date of birth and death inscribed on it. So a little disappointed, no statue is like salt without the pepper, cheese without the crackers, beans without the toast, basically it's not complete for me. And another thing, the gate was locked so I wasn't able to get up close or view or take pictures at different angles. I'm annoyed! read more
