However, they are the biggest and have a few more strings to their bow apart from the garden centre At this of year, I like to add some seasonal vegetables just for the year and perhaps plant a new fruit bush or tree which will yield a bountiful harvest over many years. Sometimes, some herb plants may need replacing after a harsh winter though it wasn't too bad a winter this time I also love to browse their aquarium area though I've discovered through experience that my doctoring skills sadly don't extend to my finned friends, so I now confine myself to looking at the fishes! They have a nice cafe with hot and cold food as well as cakes and drinks for a snack, hence catering for different types of meals. Edinburgh Woollen Mills have an area with clothing and there's a small book department too Like the start of a new football season, spring brings with it a season of hope and limitless opportunities in the garden!

For so urban an area, the range and quality are both excellent. The garden centre itself is more your typical national trust shop, and definitely mid- to high-end, but they have a wide range of gardening tools, clothing and nick-knacks for decorating your garden, plus the usual range of NT books, gifts and lots of tempting impulse purchases. It is spaciously laid out but easy to navigate. There's a very nice cafe adjacent, so it makes for a great afternoon out.

The access is the main problem and the car park can be a bit of a traffic jam when people are drawn out by the good weather. From the car park, you can access the main garden centre, Maidenhead Aquatics, a little cafe/gift shop and Morden Hall Park. I've reviewed the aquatic centre separately and will concentrate on the main garden centre. There is a large outdoor section with plants of all sizes for sale as well as tubs and ornaments. At this of year, I love hunting the aisles for newly sprouted herb and vegetable plants to put into my garden. I was able to purchase 4 varieties of tomatoes and some carrots this Sunday. Indoors, there is a good variety of seeds and gardening paraphernalia as well as a small section for pets and gifts. The staff are always helpful with suggestions and tips. The cafe is worth a visit for a tea time cake and cup of tea after a walk in the park. A pleasant day out in sun.

Firstly it was settling to see that they were serving staff through their window rather than having…read morecustomers in the shop, this put me at ease as due to COVID-19 I'm trying to go into non-essential shops as little as possible. They had a beautiful range of bouquets outside, but I wanted something more special to be made up. The lovely lady who served me was extremely attentive and made the bouquet up to my exact specifications. Not only that, I had already had quite a few shopping bags on me and knew it would be a struggle to also carry the bouquet. They offered to deliver the bouquet for me (with an added charge) as I live local and the bouquet was delivered within 5 minutes, it got home before I did !!!!! My wife was extremely happy and I am now in the good books for a few days. Thank you Flowerscents.

Took some guests there recently, the service was good and for my part the toasted bun and the strawberry milk really cool. They bought something too ,cannot remember what, although nothing for me, but it an oasis of refuge, in amongst all those plants.
