They were professional, responsive, and extremely knowledgeable. What really stood out was their attention to detail and commitment to client service--every concern was addressed promptly. She apologized for the poor communication, which I appreciate--though I'm not sure why the administrative assistant (whose role I assume is to communicate/schedule on behalf of the accountant) is less communicative than the accountant herself? They are very responsive when trying to get your business, but as soon as you pay they disappear off the face of the earth. I have no idea what the status of my tax return is, nor whether the proper returns were even filed. One of the state tax departments reached out to me asking me to pay more and Dimov tax will not even confirm whether they filed that return, nor advise me on what should be done. The "administrative assistant" assigned to my case has not responded to my emails for a week, and when I try to call her it instantly gets sent to voicemail. I'm not sure what kind of people get 5-star treatment here, but it's certainly not everyone. In the past, we've also tried to schedule calls due to difficulty communicating and getting answers over emails, but the staff made it extremely difficult to do so, asked for what our questions were over email, and then gave non-answers to the questions and cancelled the meeting saying that the questions were already answered. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt that it was peak tax season when we reached out and hence we had difficulty reaching them, but the pattern is very clear: when they want payment, they will respond; after payment is given, service drops to almost zero. I would highly advise you to stay away from this business.

If he was busy, Chris always got back to me within a reasonable time. He didn't just run away once he got my money. As one other client describe Chris "tenacious, calm, and fair" summed up my experience. I had a few conversations with several other attorneys before retaining Chris and they each told me I didn't have a case. Not one offered any useful information without even fully understanding the problem. Chris helped me with what I felt was a complex tax issue and never gave up on me after four long and painful years of battling with the IRS. I really felt at ease having Chris represent me during a very stressful situation.

She called at the scheduled time, She informed him of her tax issue which she said it is not very familiar with that is only dealt with that a couple times. Perplexed, she asked in a nice way and nice tone how long he has been practicing, which certainly is a legitimate question when assessing a professional's ability to help you for a complex issue that is within Mr Larson's claimed area of expertise. He abruptly said he had to go and hung up. Why he did this? Though an exceptionally accomplished PhD scientist and very successful business person she does have a heavy Chinese accent and in conversation it is clear that English is not her primary language. But the many business people that work with her communicate fine enough. As a professional, I can say that Mr Larson's behavior was the opposite of professionalism and customer service - and was absolutely rude and demeaning. Furthermore it does not inspire confidence in his claimed area of expertise.

Once I failed to file one year it just snowballed, and I haven't filed in literally decades. The 2018 tax year will be the first year I file on time since something like 1997. Howard has delivered results far above my expectations. What I thought was going to be an insurmountable problem, Howard has turned into a very manageable one with pretty easy to pay monthly payments. Howard's knowledge of the inner workings of the IRS runs deep and wide. He has personal connections there. His follow up is timely and has kept me on schedule moving towards resolution. Howard's communication is crisp, pithy, and clear. He is a consummate professional. Howard's work has provided me with something invaluable; my constant fear has abated. I've been carrying this burden of constantly being afraid of being caught and arrested by the authorities, and it has affected me in a million little ways: driving around, using the internet, banking, living situation with landlords, credit availability, etc. Thank you Howard - your work is a gift.

It's a pretty comprehensive return with lots of…read moreschedules, and I've been doing fine with it until my son started working last year, we started contributing to an IRA and 401k for him, college, etc. For the first time in 30+ years, there was a "new thing" to account for. Due to a forced 401k distribution/rollover/tax withholding, etc, I was a little unsure about how to handle it. I had an idea through research on the internet (and multiple LLM conversations), but I wanted to talk to a CPA or Tax person to confirm. I sent out a bunch of requests on Yelp to get quotes for a conversation that I estimated would take no more than 15-30 minutes just to make sure my understanding is correct. I got a bunch of replies ranging from $100-$385. Somebody even said I needed to complete an engagement letter to have the conversation! CBX CPA sent me a message in the middle of the night with a very detailed list of what I needed to file on my taxes and my son's and what to rollover. He also gave me his number and said, "Give me a call any time tomorrow..." No quote. Just good and clear advice on what to do. He even followed up with a second, "Sorry Mike, I forgot to add..." email and an example of what he meant. I currently do not need any other accounting/tax assistance, but if I did, I would call out to Cristian -- not because he's necessarily "any more right" than any other CPA -- that's why they are Certified: so there is consistency across the industry and a minimum knowledge about the rules so any good CPA will give you more or less the same answers, conservatively, even though they may differ depending upon how "creative" they are in interpreting those rules. I would call out to Cristian because he clearly values *MY* time and money -- not just his. I like to do business with good human beings who, to some degree, treat business like it's part of a community and not just a capitalist market. Recognizing that my need "wasn't a big deal," and taking a few minutes to type out the solution (*with detailed instructions and even sending a follow up email because he thought of something after he finished the 1st message*!) with no request for compensation speaks more volumes about him as a person than people who have paid for the service, in my mind. He's giving his expertise to answer what he felt was a simple question (but it wasn't so simple to me) out of the goodness of his own heart after evaluating whether or not he needed to charge for that expertise. This isn't common place -- I sent out 15-20 requests via Yelp describing my problem in detail and 60% of responses said "I'm too busy," and all but 2 of them said, "here's a quote for $100-$380." Two CPAs took time to write me actionable information, and CBX CPA's was the more detailed (though both were thoughtful and good). If he can be this complete in answers for a person who isn't paying him a dime when he has a CPA and it's tax season where he could for every minute, then how complete, thorough and diligent do you think they will be for a paying client? He didn't take my money so the least I could do is take the time write a truthful review and make this recommendation: If you're like me who wants even business relationships to be more than transactional but also with a person with grace who will help you out when the only self benefit being that he knows he did a nice thing for another human being when he could have charged for it and willingly been paid, then if you need a CPA, take the time to give Cristian a call to win your business.

As soon as they were paid off, they were rude with the most disrespectful attitude. I have gone weeks with no response in regards to the multiple attempts made to follow up on my case and get an update on where Matthew was with my case. After no response, I emailed them and asked for a refund. Still no response! So I called and spoke with a lady by the name of Angie (may be the wrong name) and I asked her if I can schedule an appointment to speak with Matthew and as I go into why I want to setup and appointment to speak with him, Angie cuts me off and tells me there is a document being sent to me by mail and to sign it. I ask Angie to go into detail on what the document is and she becomes either upset, agitated, or angry...and she says to me that I just need to sign the document. I ask her if I can still schedule and appointment with Matthew and as I am requesting that she says "sign the document and return it" and she hung up! How dare you treat me like this when I have been extremely patient! I gave you guys funds I didn't have because I trusted that I was in good hands! But this isn't ALLSTATE ITS LAWGENA! (Had to throw in some humor). THESE PEOPLE ARE GOOD WITH REELING IN THE CLIENTS...WHAT HAPPENS AFTERWARDS IS A TRUE HORROR STORY. MATTHEW SAW ME AT MY LOWEST POINT, ANF MADE ME FEEL LIKE HE WAS GOING TO BE THE STARTING OOINT OF WHERE THINGS TURNED AROUND FOR THE BETTER, TOOK MY HARD EARNED FUNDS AND LEFT ME TO DEAL WITH THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL DISRESPECTFUL STAFF IVE LITERALLY EVER COME ACROSS! NOW MY CALLS ARE BEING FORWARDED. IM NOT SIGNING A DOCUMENT WHEN I DONT KNOW WHAT IT PERTAINS TOO! ANY ATTORNEY WOULD ADVISE TO SEEK LEGAL COUNSEL BEFORE DOING SO AND HERE I AM TRYING TO SPEAK TO MY HIRED AND PAID LEGAL COUNSEL AND I AM BEING REFUSED THAT ABILITY (which is apart of the service I paid for). MATTHEW TOOK ADVANTAGE OF MY WEAKNESS AND I AM NOT GOING TO REST UNTIL IM REFUNDED! I wish I can post the video! By the grace of god, my son happened to be on Snapchat recording while I was speaking with Angie and he got the whole conversation. Replaying it is seriously heartbreaking. Anyone that has to reach out to a family law attorney isn't in the healthiest position. So to get a professional like this is seriously heartbreaking and sad. Y'all would be shocked to hear the way I was spoken too! If anything I should be the one with the nasty attitude but I don't do that.
