Her favorite Tom Ford's were "gone" I thought because a lens had fallen out (but she still had the lens), while my RayBan's had lost a screw and despite buying 2 different kits on Amazon with over 120 different screws I had no luck in fixing it myself. We were recommended to this business, and Akbar personally by a new neighbor of ours. Our experience was better than I could ever have expected. He fixed them both for next to nothing in 5 minutes or less. They claim they could repair my sunglasses but didn't even consider parts replacement. Instead, the man used a plier to bend the frame back and it ruined the screw socket and the bar itself. When I confronted the issue, he says "why don't you take it to the store and ask for warranty ?" This is outright ridiculous. Well, I wasted 25 dollars, but lesson learned. read more

The worst possible place you could go to get any kind of eyewear. Almost everything in the store is Fake. No Genuine or Seal of Authenticity on Anything. The two people & Only 2 people that work there are the Most Angry, Unfriendly people you could meet. When they are not yelling at each other, they are yelling at customers. Wait until they deliver you glasses you cannot read with, and watch them mutate into werewolves "Go complain to the optometrist! was the answer -Robertson Optical are not optometrists; they only sell the glasses, which complicates matters. I had to make an appointment with the original optometrist, who drew with a marker on the glasses the problem: the bifocal lenses were defective. The reading area of the lens was a narrow peephole, and so close to the frame that it was unusable. Back to Robertson Optical, the furious husband twisted the lenses around so i could see thru the peephole. After trying his "solution" for a week or so, i had to return the glasses but the wife was not there to "decide what to do" with me. After a few days, instead of apologizing, the wife sent me a rather offensive letter complaining to me for not returning the lenses sooner, as if i had nothing better to do than making appointments and shlepping glasses around town from here to there. In the letter, treating me as if it the defective lenses were my fault, she accepted to send them back to the factory, but not without blaming me as if I had caused the lenses to be bad. The new lenses, from exactly the same factory arrived a couple weeks later with exactly the same peephole problem. This time I sent back the glasses fast, but the husband wrote me that the "guarantee had expired". So they are keeping my $1000, just like that. Now I have to shlep to small claims court. The 1st time I went in, I met a charming couple, who helped me pick out eyeglass and sunglass frames. For some reason, they insisted that I should get plastic lenses, not the polycarbon I need. After some discussion, they provided a verbal quote of around $800 for both, not much more than Warby Parker. I came back again a week later and this time the quote was over $1K, as the guy said he hadn't included polycarbon in the original quote, even though that's what he said the 1st visit. I came back a 3rd and last time. The quote was still over $1K, but they tried to sub a low-end aviator frame for the Ray-Bans I had picked out. I pointed this out and they got defensive. So, I experienced more or less bait and switch twice. My advice is two words: Warby Parker. read more
