Still, they have an awful lot of books packed into a small space, and the proprietor - a retired professor who's just looking to break even - is very helpful. He'll help you find what you're looking for, and if you're interested in something there isn't much demand for - such as books in French - he may be able, if you call ahead, to grab some out of storage for you. Been coming here about 3 years now - very cool place. Have come just to browse around, other times…read moreto just randomly buy a cd or old cassette, and other times to sell (or "trade for stuff" - which is even cooler - how many places allow that??) some vinyls I have accumulated over the years for some old stereo equipment and/or some extra cash. Probably the best place to come if you are looking for the most in resale value. Now as mentioned, over the years I have accumulated so much vinyl (some of it literally new, and unopened in some cases). Much of it - while I admit holds some value - I just will never be able to use or play. Taking it to a "Half Price Books" store they will give you almost nothing for it ($1-$2 maybe for great condition vinyls), and then turn around and put it on their shelves for 10-25 bucks. That is NOT a place I recommend taking anything to, unless you're just looking to donate it. One time I took a huge load of valuable textbooks there and was offered 25 cents. Russ (owner) has SO MUCH stuff here, and even more stereo stuff in a location the public doesn't usually see, except for appointment. He's pretty fair with buying and trading your vinyl or other collectibles. I collect old stereo equipment (even stuff that doesn't hold a lot of "dollar value" these days)... Russ has so much stuff that some of it he'll be glad to unload to you. Very cool place to check out. The organization has gotten better the last 1-2 years - sometimes it feels "stuff is just EVERYWHERE" though... I can envision a bit more tidy-ness and/or a better database for the music...(computerized, tho it may not be possible with THIS MUCH INVENTORY). Somebody comes in and says - "I am looking for such and such on cd/vinyl or cassette" - and then an easy computerized search and location for it. Very minor complaint though... Will continue to come here and look around, or take my stuff in for trade. I highly recommend. Russ and his employees are cool guys and will always try to accommodate you and your requests.

Have to go down two sets of steps to get to the door, then back up stairs to the main level... overall I think we climbed up and down six sets of stairs, and we didn't even go to the highest level of the building! And this is using a cane: I think if you had a wheelchair you'd be out of luck, unless there is a hidden elevator somewhere. Their stock really hasn't changed much in a long time, so I guess between that and the fact that I can't get around the shop easily this just isn't the place for me.

Got some music related things from this locally owned store in Batavia. It has everything from…read moreinstruments to posters, and lots more. Kiss The Sky has tons of music too, mostly on vinyl. A cluttered mess but worth it if having the time to look around. The staff is pretty knowledgeable about artists and instruments. Cool place for anyone who likes music stores, and especially the ones filled with assorted crap. It's probably the worst thing about it. Takes so long going through everything and you can lose track of time. Looked through a lot of rolled up posters that were wrapped in plastic. These had no labels saying what they were. Of course the staff didn't even know. This is one example of the lack of organization. Oh well, it's still cool. The prices on most things are okay. Has some pretty cool things of course. It's located at First Street and Water Street downtown. This is a pretty cluttered store but it's fun if you like this kind of stuff.

I stopped in the shop whilst wandering the rest of the shops on Wilson street. It's a cute little…read moreshop and very clean. When we stopped in they were doing an Easter egg hunt where children could find one egg each and it had little treats in it, and my daughter was delighted to find her very first easter egg and get a little ring and piece of chocolate. No, it's not on 63rd Street--that's an homage to when the owner first made soap as a girl whilst living in Chicago. But of course though they have cute little events going on here, they also have some nice products. Lots of hand soaps, handmade, with varying scent profiles. They have other bath and body products like bath bombs, lotions, oils, and so on. They also have some accessories--I bought another headband for facials and they had some sponges and the like. I also heard her telling another customer that they offer classes, though I'm not sure if it's for soap making or one of the other products here, but definitely something to check out for something different to do.

The lady sort of mocked me like with a tone of: oh too poor? "Oh looks like you're good". The reverse psychology doesn't work. No I'm not spending **$8.50** on a box of crackers worth 3-4 handfuls.
