The set up was a little surprising because nothing about the house or the set up screamed healing or relaxation. I would say that my appointment and care was thorough but you also have to wait like you do with other doctor's offices. On my second visit, I waited a half an hour just to spend 10 minutes. So if your time is precious to you, take that into consideration. The biggest issue that prompts this review is beware of their billing practices. The billing department will take money out of your account the same minute you receive the invoice. You won't know what date that is because they don't tell you, it's all a beautiful surprise! Really unethical practices, so be careful, taking money unannounced from your account, various amounts, various times.

My family has struggled with food allergies, thyroid issues and many other issues that traditional MDs would not have been driven to get to the root cause. Robyn listened, was open to my suggestions as well as brought expert care and recommendations. It is a scary thing being given meds over and over again- only to suffer side effects of the drugs and never solving for the root cause problem. Robyn was excellent at helping us find the causes for our issues- not just giving us a pill- and helped us get healthy- for life! She was available - even gave her cell phone to us. Can't thank her and her staff enough! SHe has a great website & you can even get an appointment that way!

Had some issues with administrative stuff, e.g. a letter for my employer written by a PA (doctor wasn't available that day) that looked more like a ransom note with some kindergarten style cut and paste, and my surname was wrong as well. Change of one vowel turned it into a digestive dysfunction! When I saw my doctor next, I showed her a copy. She was quite dismayed that something like that came out of an Elliot network office. Another time a prescription was sent in, to be processed a year in the future, instead of present day. I like that they have lab facilities to take bloodwork, and ability to do digital X-rays and mammograms on site, without having to go into the city. Shoulder X-rays were the reason for my visit on this occasion. The techs always let me have a look at the images - having studied osteology at university, I have a real fascination seeing inside my own body. I'm weird that way. ;) Overall satisfied with my health care, but room for improvement with the support staff.

Our previous primary would always force us to see a nurse practitioner for sick visits. Never a doctor, here we always see a doctor and they take us seriously. Dr. Emmick is incredible. at every visit he sits and discusses any issues or concerns, and answers every question. After numerous visits for our youngest and feeling more than comfortable with his ability and competence we transferred our son over to this office again with Dr. Emmick. He is very thorough and had spent quite a bit of time looking through my son's medical records and helping to pin point some problems. After being satisfied again with the level of care I transferred myself there. Dr. Emmick typically has a 6 month waiting list for new patients but got me in for a non urgent visit in less then 2 weeks. He sat down, again and got a full medical history, we talked about some concerns I had and he had reviewed my medical records. After our discussion regarding my concerns he told me he thought my severe anxiety disorder, previously treated with anti-anxiety medication was directly related to undiagnosed ADHD and suggested medication. Since starting the medication my anxiety went from a 10 on a scale of 1-10 to a 1 or 2. I would recommend the office, and specifically dr. Emmick to anyone. The only reason I did not give five stars is because dr. Emmick does tend to run behind. I have found making appointments early in the morning or after lunch helps. But, he runs late because he spends the time to address questions and concerns and takes his time to look at the whole picture, so I will continue to the good with the bad. All of our interactions with the other doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses and administrative staff have been positive ones. This office and the doctors are AMAZING!

I shouldn't be surprised that they can reply back to positive review but are silent on anything negative. It just stands to show exactly how they really are. Beware of their shady and cowardly business practices. If I could leave zero stars, I would. My husband made an appointment and had to wait almost 3 weeks before there was availability. Two days prior to his appointment, they had the audacity to tell him THEY overbooked him and that he would have to wait a month and a half before he could be seen. The fact that this was their mistake and how they make up is by trying to schedule him almost 6 weeks later is beyond unprofessional. We will take our business to a health provider that ACTUALLY cares about its patients, not their money.

The receptionist called with results. Doesn't understand doctor speak in notes. Did not let husband know. He found out a year or two later because he saw his paperwork. The receptionist is the rudest most unprofessional women to walk the earth. I think they keep her on purpose. They hold my husband's Prescriptions hostage. They will not refill unless he goes in. She's condescending as heck. Be professional don't be a witch and pick fights. They won't even call you back they make the rude receptionist call you to talk about medical concerns. He asked to talk to a nurse and she rudely stated they'll tell you the same thing. So the doctors are afraid to call you and sic the monster on you, the receptionist. I mean doesnt everyone want their results from the unskilled receptionist, AND She's rude on top of it. You shouldn't be afraid to go or even call your doctor.

They were happy to bill me 60 dollars to do exercises for stretches I do every morning. In three weeks, these never changed. On the way out, another PT asked me to pick up their trash off the floor. Even if I dropped it, it was a clean napkin bend down and pick it up. Even after canceling the visits, I needed to call and tell them they needed to cancel the appointments. Head PT Andrea and assistant PT Liz have been excellent, creating a treatment/exercise plan to increase strength and range of motion, and revising as necessary based on improvement and pain level. Liz has the best massage fingers! :) Scheduling is quite flexible, but you do need to have a doctor's referral with diagnosis prior to first evaluation appointment. And they will provide progress reports for your doctor. The PT area is the front portion of the building, relatively small space. At times it does seem a little crowded if more than 2 patients are being treated at the same time. Some people may be on exam tables, but others could be doing bike or treadmill, standing doing exercise band stretches, free weights, or floor exercises. Can be a bit dodgy getting around people and equipment. I've done a lot of PT over the years and feel confident I'm in good hands at Access.
