It's quite impressive, and is popular with visitors to our small village. The musée focuses on the history of the flint (silex) for which this area is known. Guided tours are available, but I like to wander through on my own. A free audioguide in several languages is available if you download an app. This is definitely a worthwhile stop if you are visiting Le Grand-Pressigny.

It's funky. It's weird. It's a collection of odds and end of the last 150 years. It's an antidote to going to the Lourve in Paris. Started in the early 50's this place is a labor of love of a father and now a son. Located a short 8 km drive from the center of Poitiers this place is worth the 5 eruos it will cost you. You can get a digital translator for free which comes with no earphones and you have to pay for them but don't bother because it doesn't work most of the time and when it does you can't hear over the French version which is much louder. (Also they run out of battery very fast). None of the crew I encountered knew a word of English which is unacceptable for any theme park. Some crew members muted some word in Spanish but it's clear that you have to know French the enjoy this park. Food is expensive especially considering what you get and here once again you have to speak French to get understood. For this reason and for the long waiting times (from 40 to 60 min) for a shot experience (2 min to 5 min in some cases) I give this park a 1 star. I did not enjoy not understanding what I was experiencing and I did not enjoy standing outside for hours in cold weather for b min rides. lo top it off you pay for the parking on you way out.

As with all such parks waiting times can be long, between 15 and 60 minutes, but it's generally worth the wait. Restaurants on site are reasonably priced, parking costs 6 euros per day and there's an Auchan right next door if you want to take your own food. A site worth seeing, and it takes two days to (nearly) see it all.
