Unknown Damage under the shingles could ... insert almost anything and it's a nightmare. I had gotten four roofing quotes and went with Ed Senez roofing for three reasons. I live in Orange City I wanted to shop local, I had read other reviews and this company has been in business since 1973 and finally the price was fair. Shawn O'Quinn came out and discussed my concerns and came up with an agreement based on my roof project. We were very concerned the roof would exceed the contract amount and actually it did but they honored the contract price. The roof replacement process....imagine a swarm of bees starting at seven am and ripping the shingles off like locust going through a cornfield. If you watch it's rather messy but each roofing person was so professional and any concerns I had faded due to their experience and professionalism. The best part the roof is - it's finished and it is more beautiful than I expected. Every soft spot replaced repaired and perfect. I have never seen people work like these guys and obviously The results have exceeded my expectations.

Firstly that storm was July and 2nd it's almost a year later, seriously. I was flustered and let them go up. Didn't hear them on the roof at all. Then they came back down saying my roof was in really bad condition, needed to be replaced and they could file for me. I just had some shingles replaced after hurricane Milton Oct 2024, that roofer would've told me if I needed a replacement. I called out another company with a 5-Star review and 350 reviewers who told me what I already knew, my roof is in fine condition and can go a few more years at minimum. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!! You wouldn't have surgery without a 2nd opinion, don't let someone work on your home without one either, ESPECIALLY when you didn't make first contact and they're coming around basically begging for business.

Once contact was made, a fair price, contract, and service were all completed on the same day. Since I had already handled the cleanup myself, I declined their offer. I hope moving forward there's more attention to preparation and proper demo practices so situations like this can be avoided for other clients. I want to share my experience so others know what to expect. When the roofing work started, the lack of professionalism was obvious. There was little to no preparation--no tarps were laid down, and debris was scattered all over my yard. I recently had landscaping done, and it was frustrating to see roofing materials, nails, and trash . Even after the job was "completed," cleanup was incomplete. I'm still finding roofing debris in my backyard, on my grill, and even on my smoker. They also damaged my outdoor lamps and didn't bother to fix or properly replace them. To make matters worse, they left behind leftover materials, including a large box of nails and roofing liner. Oh and because they had little care for prep my dog's water/food bowls had material thrown on them. If I wasn't paying attention they would of ingested that stuff. As someone who grew up around roofing (my father is a roofer), I can say this level of carelessness is not normal--it's sloppy. While the roof itself may look fine at a glance, the overall experience and lack of respect for my property were disappointing. I would strongly encourage others to be cautious and ask detailed questions upfront before hiring this company.

    The French Drain Guys

**Buyer Beware: A Costly and Frustrating Experience**…read more I hired The French Drain Guys to resolve a serious drainage issue on one side of my home that was causing water intrusion during heavy rains and hurricanes. I made it very clear during the initial property survey that my goal was to prevent water from entering my home. The representative assured me that their proposed system--including catch basins and pumps--would solve the issue and came with a three-year warranty. We proceeded with the installation, spending nearly $7,000. Unfortunately, when the rainy season arrived, the system failed completely. Water continued to accumulate on the same side of the house, and once again, it entered our home. We contacted the company immediately and were promised callbacks that never came. After persistent follow-ups, the owner's brother finally came to inspect the system. He informed us that the installed setup was insufficient and lacked critical components like additional catch basins and a hydro seal. He also stated that the system isn't guaranteed unless the hydro seal is applied--something we were never told during the initial consultation. Now we're being quoted an additional $2,700 to upgrade the system to what should have been recommended from the start. We feel misled and disappointed by the poor inspection, lack of transparency, and ineffective solution. We'll be seeking another company to properly address our drainage needs.
