These reviews online must be people who had their business pay for the stay. Hotel is extremely dated. The paint peeling, wood beds are all beat up, wall paper spots peeling, beds extremely uncomfortable. I am pretty sure mattresses were original to the build. Benefit to you.. full price hotel when they only clean the room every four days.. so 1/4 service. so use those towels and washcloths carefully. when you ask for more towels from the staff with housekeeping they nod and you end up getting nothing in the end. Breakfast buffet is only weekends at 15.99 which includes less than most complimentary breakfasts at other places. No waffle maker, no omelet station. You have to hunt down an employee because there is basically no on eating in the tables. Juice options were cranberry and grapefruit. No water. No oj or apple juice. During week you order off a menu. Service is slow. Get breakfast elsewhere is best advice One star for being location is amazing for access to 390. Plan on a good night sleep, fresh towels and a good breakfast there are way better options. This is my hometown and I am shocked this has Marriott name attached. read more

I met my childhood friend and her mom there for drinks & dinner last Sunday the 9th. We were going to go somewhere else but the weather wasn't wonderful out and we decided to just stay there. So we had drinks at the bar and got a big table as there were 5 of us girls for dinner. Our waitress/ Bartender was awesome as were the other girls there. I ordered a veggie burger with fries and I have to say the food was really good. Everyone enjoyed their meal except for the Shrimp with I think Chipotle on it. Which was too spicy & too hot for my friend's mom so she re- ordered and got a hamburger & fries. But it took quite a while for her to get her food. Despite that it was a nice bar/ restaurant and if I'm ever in the area I'd go back again. It is not an expansive menu for food & drinks but the food is good and I was happy. read more

I felt badly about my previous 2 star review of this property. I thought about it and considered that maybe I visited the first time on a "bad day?" I mean, everyone is entitled to them once in a while, right?! So I booked again a month later. Unfortunately my experience was still very disappointing. *All common area (pool, lobby, restrooms, coffee area) trash cans were brimming with waste for the duration of my stay (Fri-Sun). *For the second consecutive stay I had to ask/remind the front desk that the pool area was open at 8am, so I had the unpleasant experience of following an annoyed employee to the pool entrance so they could key me in. *Pool area had no towels, but yet hamper or yellow striped pool only towels cascaded out of the bin to the floor *Platinum and Titanium Club area had literally empty coolers where the soft drinks were intended to be and two random jars with a couple of granola bars in them served as the snacks for those members who arrived after 7pm (which is when the area is not staffed) *Although staring at them behind the desk, was not offered the gift bag or water and nuts, etc that are intended to be distributed - and actually needed - due to the lounge being depleted. *The lobby coffee bar had no napkins, the counter covered in spilled creamer and sugar. And it, in my experience, was not cleaned (nor the garbage emptied) on a regular basis. The highlights of my stay are two fold: 1) the staff manning the Platinum lounge on Saturday morning was fantastic. They were singing and welcoming and added to my stay 2) the proximity of the property to myriad restaurants in Greece made live very easy Sadly, it's likely due to a significant staffing issue - or - overall ambivalence by the operator. I really wish someone from Marriott corporate would do a surprise visit/inspection to make sure this Marriott was living up to their standard of a FULL SERVICE property. read more

I think I got a remodeled room which was semi decent. The service however, was way below par for Marriott. It started with check-in; the clerk couldn't be bothered to acknowledge me and barely checked me in. They put me on the first floor despite my profile asking for a higher floor. The bar was the worst I have ever been to at a Marriott; the server was acting really weird and disappeared for 15+ mins at a time. Brought my food, and acted surprised when I asked for Silverware, and then took another 10 mins. The concierge lounge breakfast was a similar hot mess- most foods picked over or out completely, no coffee, and no one in sight. Not up to Marriott standards, would not stay here again. read more

My brother and I traveled a long way for a fish trip on Lake Ontario. He drove 10 hours up from the New England area and I flew about the same amount of hours coming in from California. Breakfast at the restaurant was incredible especially the French toast conversation with the service staff was warm. I was not feeling well for couple hours, Front desk had our room cleaned.. To top it off, Kayleen and her partner at the front desk, took incredible care and extended my stay at the last minute, as brother had to start his drive, I was able to complete my tasks and have now joined as a member as well read more

Im really torn on this. We got a king room and it looked like the pictures which was good because my son wanted to sleep on the sofa rather the in the bed with us (He's just 7 so it's not all weird). Thevwoman who checked us in - I think it was Amanda was so nice, and so friendly- she needs a rause becuse she was the savior of this review! We asked fir a extra blanket and pillow and they brought is 2 pillows and a blanket- that didn't look clean- but it smelled of laundry detergent and my son said it was fine. The pool was nice but there are no towels! There is one rolled up on every chair but none on the shelf which was kind of annoying! The pool itself was not really refreshing- it felt like bathwater- but my son loved playing in it and that's what mattered. I was a little upset because I really wanted to use the fitness center- I'm trying to lose a few pounds and didn't want my progress derailed by missing time working out but the fitness center- which smelled TERRIBLE was in the basement level- by itself with a door that locked and no windows. I did not feel comfortable going down there and being completely isolated. I try not to be paranoid but when I am alone I try to be smart about my surroundings and this just did not feel safe at all. The rooms were a bit dated and could use a refresh- the bathroom door was cracked and peeling and the carpet had a bunch of loose threads around the edge. My biggest annoyance was the lack of towels. We came back to our room and saw that it had not only not been cleaned (ok she said housekeeping doesn't do a full clean everyday) but the garbage hasn't been taken out and towel towel were not replenished. There are 3 of its and 2 bath towels. I called the front (spoke with Amanda again and she was so nice)and was told there was a waiting list for towels(seriously WTF) but as soon as some were available they would be sent up. About 45minutes later housekeeping arrived with three towels. We go down to the pool later but notice there is not a single unused towel anywhere. Im not going to swim and then get out and stand there dripping wet,so I had to the front desk and a different girl nastily told me that "there are no towels anywhere it will be at least a hour before any are available" so my husband and son are playing in the water and I head back to the room to get our bath towels. We used those and all was fine but I called too get more for our showers and that got me nowhere so I used the ones that we took to the pool the night before then laid out to dry. I just think a hotel should be properly stocked of necessities. read more

Felt like I was staying at a Motel 6. The room I had was clearly broken into before, the door locks were painted over, didn't look safe. Everything was old and dirty, the desk chair, chair, table, the bathroom was outdated, my room was dirty and disgusting. The pool area was gross, floors were so dirty, pool water was foggy. Needs air conditioning in the lobby. It shouldn't be as muggy inside as it is outside and then you hear employees talking about it. Get the fridges up off the floor that drag the doors on the carpet. Fridges don't work, won't even mention maintenance not in on Sunday til noon to switch them Out. Have the air on in the rooms after cleaning if the outside temp is hot. Guests shouldn't walk in hot rooms. And why are beds on the floor? All pedestals being used? A Marriott with beds on the floor and fridges that sweep the carpet in the rooms, overflowing trash cans, food on the floors and then I hear the front desk call maintenance on the radio because the circuit blew out in the microwave area by the front desk. Can't even make this stuff up. Just tells me managers not managing and Marriott brand has seriously declined. Guess the water I paid for so I could have cold water in my room will now be warm. The place was clean and in good repair except one elevator was out of order , per other reviews it's been out for months. The room is a nice size with a corner couch which we liked a lot, very comfortable!! The bed and pillows were awesome!!!! Plain looking hotel, but you get even less. My toilet didnt flush properly. Half way thru my shower I realized the tub was clogged as water rose over my ankles. Pretty gross if its not your tub. Call for the shuttle. The chat with us function on app they said we are on our way. 20 minutes later we call and shuttle still at hotel. Hotel lobby is very surprising. They have a little grocery store and restaurant in lobby. Nice staff. Excellent location for outside restaurants. Eg. Outback, Olive Garden, Applebees, longhorn steakhouse etc. The bed wasn't comfy is My only complaint. Thermostat needs to be replaced too. If I ever get marooned here again I'll be back. read more

It says it is an "airport hotel" but it is a way off the airport. The silver lining is that you don't get the noisy flyby from the passing planes. This place lived up to the Marriott standards of clean, functional, and comfortable room. I was impressed by the decent water pressure and had a great shower (I usually hated hotel showers due to the low water pressure). The only thing that I don't understand was the hotel won't give me my Bonvoy elite bonus. Other than that, I would come back should I am the area again. read more

Only 1 elevator functional. First room was BEHIND the elevator with elevator noise all night. Bathrooms in both rooms smell like urine after a shower. Cannot air the smell out. Concierge room attendant broke down breakfast at 9:30 am even though the room is open until 10am. On day of checkout key would not work even though we had not checked out yet. I was locked out of my room at 8 am while packing my car. Not my favorite hotel. read more

Pros: Lobby is BEAUTIFUL. Bed is in good shape. The sunset colored mural on the wall was pretty. Mobile checkin was easy and the key on my 'phone' was a neat touch! I also liked the interior courtyard which had super comfy couches. Cons: Not actually close to the airport! They have a free shuttle but plan for some time. It's also not really close to anything else. You can walk to a panera/chickfila but it's a 10 min walk next to a highway (that thankfully has sidewalks). Also a small ding for no bathroom fan. Not only does the bathroom super fog up when you shower, but fans are nice to have for noises and smells when nature calls. Another oddity, the AC unit make 3 clicks every time before it turned on. We use a white noise app when we sleep but for others this could be problematic. read more

My stay at the Rochester Marriott was great. I traveled here for a friend's 30th birthday and wanted to grab a hotel for one night. I was going to be spending minimal time here, literally needed a place to shower and get ready and a place to sleep. Being that I'd only spend a short amount of time someplace I wasn't interested in spending a ton of money. This location offered one of the better prices for one night compared to the other hotels I called, (Holiday Inn Express, Hilton, Comfort, etc) I called for pricing around 3 o'clock on a Saturday and was given a nighty rate of $143, which included taxes and my AAA discount. The other hotels I had called were pricing me around $200 for the night, no thanks. I booked a room at the Marriott and figured maybe it wouldn't be as nice as the other hotels I called but I didn't care because the price was better. To my surprise, the hotel was great, modern and beautiful! Pulled up right in front, little semi-circle driveway with an Airport shuttle. I had about 4 bags (standard for 1 night right?) and definitely could have used some help with a belt cart but there was nobody to help me. I pulled up, put my hazards on and grabbed my own cart. I'm self sufficient but it was annoying not to have an extra set of hands. Loaded my stuff onto the cart, wheeled the cart in, left it in the lobby, went back outside, parked my car, came back in and checked in. There was ample parking and I happened to find a spot right in front, which was nice. The hotel is in a busy area of Rochester, there are tons of businesses next-door and right across the street like an LA Fitness, a bunch of restaurants and stores. Check in was a breeze, again, the annoying part was lugging the belt cart by myself into the elevator, unloading my stuff into the room while trying to keep the door open, it was an annoying inconvenience. The room was really nice. Big bed, a chaise lounge with a stand for your laptop big desk, television, mini fridge, huge closet with a full length mirror, loads of outlets and a big enough bathroom. The shower was a little odd, I'm tall but not really tall, 5'7" and I felt like I could just about see over the top of the shower. There was some hair left from the guests before me, which was a little gross but was in the corner so it didn't bother me too much. The water pressure was TOP NOTCH, seriously wanted to stay in the shower all day it was fantastic. No fan in the bathroom though so I had to wait for the mirror to become visible again and it was hot in there. Lots of counter space in the bathroom. The bed was really comfortable, can't speak about amenities on the property because I literally got ready here and slept here that was it but in passing I noticed they had a fitness center, outdoor patio area, restaurant and bar within the hotel that stayed open until 1 am or so. Breakfast was not included. Check out at noon. Overall it was a nice quick one night stay and I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting. It was a quick 15 minute uber to Frontier Field and a quick 10 minute uber to friends in Irondequoit. The lobby area was pretty, which little nooks to sit and enjoy drinks with friends. It was a mix between modern and rustic with their long wooden tables. Worked for me. read more

This is advertised as a park and stay "airport hotel". It is 10 miles from the airport, and they knew nothing about the shuttle service. I stayed the night before my 6 a.m flight and got the shuttle service to the airport at 4 a.m. Of course they couldn't even make a pot of coffee (until 7) I guess those 3 desk clerks are too dumb to make coffee. On my return I called for my ride back to my car at this "airport" hotel and they laughed at me and said their shuttle quits at midnight. Now I had called before I left , asked when I got there and looked on the website and NOWHERE does it give this information. I was laughed at and hung up on and had to spend $40 on a taxi to get back to my car. I filed a complaint and they ignored. I would NEVER stay at this dump again for any reason. I travel a lot and Marriott is my home away from home. So I have to say the team here does an excellent job. The welcome and the check in experience is always excellent and the people aren't just nice they are genuinely friendly and interested in you. They follow all the check protocols they are suppose to when a Platinum member checks in. That isn't what I am talking about it is the over and above feeling I am given each time I return here. Helpful and attentive is the way I would put it. I have only been to the bar a few times so all I can say is the bartenders have that same out going what can I do for you my friend approach. As the world turns, and airlines cancel flights, I end up here. I smelled what the Roc Was cookin'. Their room service was efficient and fast. Check-in was smooth, and the room was a good size. This Marriot is a bit dated though. The mattress was saggy, one elevator was down and the working elevator was slow, and the M lounge was closed by 10pm. This hotel is more 3.5 stars, but nee mattresses in the room and working elevators will push it back up. read more

The hotel lobby is beautiful and updated. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Check-in took 30 seconds and we were headed to our room. We live about an hour away but decided to come for the night to use the pool- this is why I am rating the way I am. The pool was beyond crowded- but not with hotel guests. Quite frankly I don't know if any of them were hotel guests- there is a door to the outside that people were holding open for carloads to come in came to celebrate a birthday party. They took all the tables and all the towels, all the chairs, and most of the space in the pool and the hot tub. It was bedlam- splashing and yelling and leaving very little room for anyone not attending their party. The pool here is literally a community pool. It was so crowded at 330 that we swam for a short time and decided to come back after the party ended. Big kids were running and jumping and I was afraid my little ones were going to be hurt. We came back at 8- only to find that the party guests had multiplied and there literally wasn't any room in the pool or the hot tub for us. Unfortunately we had to leave- the pool should be for hotel guests only. If I knew I could have driven here and snuck in the back door to swim, I wouldn't have spent $100+ to stay the night. Super disappointed with Marriott to allow this to happen. Update- we tried the next morning to swim again and found what looked like the aftermath of a college frat party. The towels were still empty, the dirty towel bin was overflowing, there was a disgusting film an inch thick floating in the hot tub, dirty towels all around the hot tub, along with used cups. No staff even came to check the area the next morning or at all during the party last night. What we saw would have been absolutely disgusting in pre coronavirus times, but this was beyond a health hazard. It was shameful. read more

Top notch hotel. Stayed here a few years ago on business and recalled the friendly staff so came back this time around. Glad to see nothing has changed. I was greeted upon entering as expected. The sloppy weather didn't show on the interior as the floors where clean and carpets well kept. The attendant took time to help me access the mobile key which is a new feature at this hotel. This allows you to use your phone in place of your key card to your room, exercise room, pool and other locations your normal card would be used. VERY nice amenity. Ate dinner in the concierge lounge which is complementary for higher level reward guest that travel frequently. Stuffed peppers, cheese plate on the menu. If your not familiar, they usually have a small main dish with a few hand snacks. Just right for a light meal. Also alcohol drink selection for a charge. Water, colas and other drinks for free. The hostess was awesome, helpful and made sure everyone was taken care of. This will be my place in Rochester when in the area. read more

I had a family emergency and booked with this hotel because of the Marriott name. My stay proved unsatisfactory, and I will no longer be supporting this brand. Throughout my stay, there was a fetid smell coming from the hallway. Apparently, a bathtub overflowed and drenched the carpet. The smell became a burden to everyone on the 6th floor, and it was a vomit inducing stench. We were offered no apology, no other room on a non smelly floor, or no other accommodations. The establishment also only acknowledges those of the majority with the respect of a customer. When I checked in, and when my dad checked in, we were left standing at the designated space for service for an extended period of time. Christine even looked over at us as we waited to be checked in and only addressed us when non black guests came into the lobby for pool access. They received pool access before we were checked in or greeted, by the way. So in addition to the the foul aroma that often crept into my bedroom from the hallway, the Rochester Airport Marriott reeks of racial prejudice. Yuck! Considering that we spent over $600 on our stay, it's quite telling that our green was good enough but our blackness wasn't. read more

I stay here every month for business and I'm really disappointed in this Marriott property. I am loyal to Marriott's because I want the points and the status. So I reluctantly book my travel at this location because it's convenient for my work. The problem is this is a very tired Marriott. Yes, they updated the lobby and restaurant and it looks very nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful. However, compared to other Marriott's it ranks very low for me The beds are very soft and the mattresses need replaced. If stayed in many different rooms and each mattress sinks down to the box spring. The concierge lounge serves terrible food both in the evenings and in the mornings. They need to update their offerings. Runny eggs in the morning and a goulash in the evening are not appetizing. They always run out of items too The fitness center has old machines that are not calibrated. I just used the elliptical machine this AM and it said I went 21 miles in 60 minutes. This is impossible. They need to add more cardio machines as well. This should not be a Marriott property. This feels more like a Ramada or at best a Sheraton. I ask that the GM go to the Boston Long Wharf Marriott to experience a great Marriott at a similar price. read more

Quick get away for a night. The bed was super comfy. Helpful staff, hot shower. In a good location near lots of spots to eat. As elite members, we got a free continental breakfast since the lounge is closed on weekends. This included make-to-order omelettes. It's about a 5-10 minute drive to the airport. I felt like ROYALTY!!! ... ok let me start from the beginning... My flight was early which meant I'd be at the hotel earlier than check in time... I called the hotel and they were so accommodating assuring me that my room was ready I had no reason to stress... After I grabbed my luggage from baggage claim I remembered they had complimentary shuttle so I called back (ya I felt super annoying ) but I had just missed the driver and was offered to wait 30 min for his return... I decided I'd take an Uber to the hotel which was only a 10 min ride.. From the moment I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted with a warm and friendly smile by the ladies in the front. I was checked in and told about the amenities and dining and it was such a warm welcome. Because I arrived so early I didn't know what to do with my time, so I decided to go to the mall which is only a mile away and they offered me a complimentary ride! I felt special!! I did a nice amount of shopping to kill some time and decided to walk back... which was a super easy walk! Highly recommend! When I got back, I put my bathing suit on and took a swim in the pool. I must've spent 2 solid hours in the pool area ! There's also a very cozy courtyard I got to do some work and light reading in! Later on that evening I ordered from outback (they deliver) but it's so close so I walked and picked up my food... I appreciate their service and the food was good too... there's also a cold stone ice cream shop across the street but I fought the temptation Ok moving along, I had an event this morning and the staff was beyond helpful and attentive. I work a lot of events in many hotels but this by far knocks the service ratings out of the park! I ordered a breakfast wrap before the event and it was really good, most importantly easy to eat while on the go! When I was done with my event, I had a few hours before my flight back... I was already checked out - oh which they extended my stay til 1pm without even making me feel uncomfortable for asking !! I mean most hotels have given me a hard time when I've asked for a little extension but they did it so happily! Anyways, my final point is... in those few hours I had.. they encouraged me to take advantage of the sun and pool. They allowed me to use their amenities even after I checked out so I wasn't bored! Tell me that's not everything you wish for in a hotel!!!! I'm so amazed and grateful for the service I received I highly recommend everyone stay there. The rooms are clean; the pool is clean, the lobby is clean, the restaurant and cafe is clean.. the bathroom - CLEAN!! If I'm ever back here this is where I'd stay- short or long trip! Came here for a banquet. We had open bar, dinner , and the staff is top notch. Very friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Completely impressed with the service, food, and the atmosphere. I really enjoyed the banquet and they made it that much more enjoyable. If you got up from the table to get something they roll up your napkin so it's ready for you when you get back. We were in my husband's hometown and we had decided to stay at the hotels instead of our in-laws for the fact we were in town for our friends' wedding events. That meant a lot of space, ironing, and bathroom time was required and the accommodation of having our own personal space at the hotel was more than ideal. We had stayed at a cheaper hotel across the street (Fairfield) for 2 nights prior to staying at the Airport for the wedding reception parties. Apparently this hotel is one of the older hotels on this side of Greece and don't let the price fool you into thinking it's the better deal. If you're looking to impress- the Airport may be for you but if you're looking for simple accommodations like a room and breakfast... the Fairfield is the better one. The reason why I'm stating this is I had learned that this hotel does NOT offer complimentary breakfast like the Fairfield. I questioned why and learned that due to the fact the Airport has a full bar & Starbucks (not complimentary either) allows their guests to enjoy their buzz without going out. They also have an indoor pool, hot tub, gym, etc. It has it's luxury perks, but I didn't think to bring my swimsuit in the middle of November. Just because a hotel costs more doesn't mean it's any better than the basic hotel that offers a free breakfast and free coffee. Yes, I do love my breakfast and coffee the minute I wake up. read more

Checked in for an overnight stay. Picked up my keys as I usually use mobile check in. Got to my room - no toiletries. I called the front desk and asked; was told in 10 minutes. Called after 15 minutes and requested the front desk that I will just pick it up after eating in the restaurant. 30 minutes later (after dinner), stopped by the front desk again and asked what I need (patience is wearing thin at this time). Handed me another brand that I cannot use. Asked if I can get The Works brand; said they will call ask housekeeping and will get it to me in 10 minutes. Called again after 15 minutes and they are still figuring it out. Jesus, how hard is it to get some effing toiletries? Mike, their bellman, finally came up with the correct ones. One of the most nicely refurbished hotel properties for business travelers I've seen in a long time! There's a nice fireplace in the lobby, a really nice lounge, great little fitness center, nice pool, and the guest rooms have been beautifully refurbished with comfortable and useful furniture, decent toiletries, and great wireless access with no extra charge. The reservations team here is great--I called and booked four rooms for myself and three colleagues and the young woman who took the reservation quickly found the correct discounted rate, booked all four reservations accurately and sent me 4 email confirmations to forward to my teammates--they came chirping into my Outlook inbox within seconds of me spelling my colleagues' names. She was cheerful, businesslike, and knew what she was doing. Every detail of all 4 reservations was well done. There's a nice bowl of fruit on a pedestal in the lobby, too. I'd give 5 stars if the internet access was wireless, but I was so happy not to futz with the connection and have it work flawlessly and speedily from the moment I attached my cord. read more

I needed a hotel at the last minute and came to the Marriott. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful at finding a room for me and working with me to get the military discount. The room was clean and quiet. Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to try out the indoor swimming pool or any other services here. read more

Pleasant surprise. Just flew into Rochester late and the hotel sent a special car to the airport to retrieve me. The driver was extremely friendly--I felt like I had just been picked up by one of my parents. The hotel itself looks like it was just built yesterday. It's a standard new, shiny hotel. My room here (from which I am now yelping) is immaculate--king sized bed with fluffy white covers, slick mahogany desk without a particle of dust and gleaming kohler faucets in the bathroom. The color scheme is neutral (rich browns, creams, and taupes) with accents of red. For a cookie cutter corporate hotel, I'm pleased with everything thus far. Also, super nice and cheery service at the front desk--especially considering I checked in at 10PM on July 4. read more

I don't know about all the good reviews. But for me the price over 200$ for a king bed. When I check in the room we had 2 beds, the customer service can't do anything for us. I stayed here for two nights for a wedding. The reception was also held here was well. The banquet room was large and table set up was nice. The food was just okay but that is to be expected at any chain place. The hotel rooms where clean and quiet. They were able to keep most of the wedding guests next to each other. The honeymoon suite was great. read more
