These guys are liars driving into private property, unannounced claiming to be just turning around. My driveway is a quarter mile long with plenty of turn around areas. They drove past no tresspassing signs,, disregarding. That's not how a reputable company does business. read more

Nothing but door to door salesman! Came to my house told me they were hired to do my neighbor's driveway and that they had some tar left in the tank but didn't know how much cuz they're gauge was broken and they would hook me up at a dollar a foot. I asked how much for a certain area to be completed where I park my vehicles and they kept telling me well we don't know cuz we don't know how much tar we have but we'll work it out we'll work it out. They graded almost my entire driveway preemptively because they knew they were going to try to scam me into doing the whole thing. And they were successful in that but continued to never give me a price every time I would ask. Being a first-time home buyer I was ignorant in this situation I genuinely thought they were trying to be nice and helpful seeing as how I am a disabled veteran. And then tried to tell me I owe them $11,000. I went into a complete anxiety attack trying to understand why anybody would think that someone has $11,000 just lying around. It's not like they were talking a few hundred dollars if you're going to do $11,000 worth of work you should probably make sure that the person you're doing the work for knows and either consents to that amount of money or doesn't and says no thank you. Fortunately there was no contract authorizng the work for that amount thetefore they got $2,400 and they're lucky they got that because not only did I have an anxiety attack but I ended up with a severe Phantom limb pain episode with a nine out of 10 pain because of the anxiety they caused me. I later found out that all of their equipment Vehicles were parked at a local grocery store and they were driving their pickup trucks around the town going door-to-door claiming to not know how much tar they had in the tank and offering to do your driveway for a dollar a foot. Despite my driveway being MUCH longer than my neighbors, we both paid the same price. I will say this they did good work however, they will scam you if they think they can. I am a single woman that lives on a good-sized piece of property I have a nice vehicle as a result of losing my leg in the military and they saw that and thought they could take me for a fool. Not only did they make sure to ask me if I was married to find out if there was a husband that might come home and ruin the scam they had going but they also very rudely kept asking me how I lost my leg. I'll be surprised if they don't delete this review because they kept posting about their five star review yet there is only one review on Google with five stars. I know very well they can delete a review off of their Facebook page if they do not like it. Be sure to check the reviews on Independent platforms not controlled by this company. Last month Rock Bottom Paving in association with Richard Squires Asphalt Paving and Maintenance came to my house offering to pave the driveway. We recently moved into an old stone house in the Poconos and our wheelchair accessible van which has a low carriage could not pass over the small bridge at the entrance. It was a job that needed to be done, and soon. We had just passed the paving trucks up the road working on a neighbor's driveway. The supervisors, I believe it was Jimmy and Robert, said they were finishing a job up the street and had extra tar in the truck they didn't want to waste, and they would give me an end of the day deal with no labor cost. So, in record time my driveway was tar and chipped. Here are the pros and cons based on my experience. PROS: 1. The team of about six men worked quickly and determinedly. There was a concrete slab protruding at the end of the bridge which scrapped the bottom of vehicles with low carriages. It was recommended by other contractors working at our house that I have it pulled out. So Mike, using his compact Cat worked at it until he could finally lift it out. Little did we know it extended about 3 1/2 feet underground. 2. They also graded the side yard to make it more easily accessible for my mom's wheelchair. 3. The supervisors were available for consultation and oversight of the work. 4. The team was friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible. . 5. Our van can now drive over the bridge and park closer to the house. 6. My mom can go up the incline to the back entrance without a ramp. 7. The driveway looks better. 8. After measuring the square footage and calculating the cost, I'm pleased with the price I paid. (The management asked that I not post the price.) CONS: 1. They are fast talking and hard sell. The neighbors consider them a "fly by night crew". 2. I don't love tar and chip and other options were not discussed. However, it was inexpensive. 3. I was not given a flat price or estimate to start. I was given a price "per square foot". Since I didn't know offhand how many square feet the part of the driveway I wanted paved was, or when the tar in the truck might run out, I was left feeling uncertain as to whether I could afford this job. Midway through the job at my request, Richard measured the driveway and wrote out a figure, which did not change when the work was done. :) 4. They repeatedly pressed to do the lower part of the driveway, though I said I only wanted the top done. 5. Though they generously covered the bridge with extra coats of tar and chip, it made the berm higher. If our van crosses too far to one side, the bottom scrapes. 6. They covered over a drainage swale. It remains to be seen whether this will be a long-term issue. 7. The truck dripped tar on the part of the driveway I did not want paved. Though they threw some dirt over the tar, later the dog got into it and my shoe also got tarred. Am I glad I had the driveway paved? Yes. So glad the van can get over the bridge! Am I pleased with the quality of the work? Relatively. We will see what happens after the snow plow comes. read more

Sketchy sketchy sketchy. I wish I trusted my gut with this company and went with somebody else. Not worth the financial hit or the lies. If you use this company expect to pay a couple thousand more than one of their guys promised you'd pay. read more

Beautiful work had my house driveway done with tar and chip and had my business re paved the crew of about 8 men were very nice and very informative big Jim and little Jim was very nice and did my job with proper level and grade my parking lot was holding water really bad but they came in with precision and quality would highly recommend them to anyone very good family men god bless guys read more
