Highly recommend fishing with John. He always gets us on the fish and is fun to hangout with. We have gone out with him several times and not been disappointed.

Captain John was so laid back and honest. All we cared to do was have a good time and fish. He knows his stuff and he provides awesome info! Great boat and great company - it was fun to see his competitive side and come become personable with him... go see him!

Great trip! Capt John was awesome and got us on some great fish. We were able to hook a monster bull red too. Had fun with great company!

Great time with Captain John. Boat was clean and well prepared for fishing. Got on some great fish only complaint is running out of bait and trip seemed short but charter time was never discussed. Caught a bunch and had a great time. Highly recommend and will do it again.

Things definitely happen for a reason! My wife and I and my 2 teenage Daughters booked with a different popular charter boat earlier in the week and received a call The day before our outing that there were some technical problems and our originally scheduled time would not work now. Well that led us to Captain John, and we are thankful it did ! I can't imagine a more knowledgeable and capable captain for a half-day or all day fishing excursion. One of my daughters had not even been on a boat before and she ended up completely enjoying the experience and catching over a dozen fish. Captain John knew just where to troll for dropping the line and then we actually went shark fishing and caught three sharks, a sand shark and two spinner sharks (we are all catch and release in the family so all these big guys were let go). See attached pictures and video of our day. Couldn't give john a higher recommendation! Greg Knott. Denver CO

It was a great day on the water with the Amelia River Cruises & Charters company at the helm…read more It was my first time visiting Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach and wanted to get an overlay of the area and the river cruise seemed like the perfect thing to get an overview of the area. And I wasn't wrong! The tour lasted about 90 minutes (and it leaves promptly FYI) and takes you along the shoreline of Amelia Island - past the shrimping boats and past a Civil War era fort - before heading towards Cumberland Island National Seashore. This is where the true fun of the tour was for me. I had no idea really the history of the island and found it fascinating how the Carnegies and Rockefellers and more of the country's elite used this random Georgia seashore as their private escape. The history of both Cumberland and Amelia Islands is incredibly fascinating and the guides for both the Florida and Georgia sides respectively were well informed and personable. Plus - you'll very likely see a ton of great wildlife throughout including dolphins and wild horses and pigs. It's a great way to spend an afternoon in the area and a fabulous introduction to Cumberland Island National Seashore/Park.

A Truly Unforgettable St. Augustine Sunset Dinner Cruise!…read more We were thrilled to experience St. Augustine Sailing's incredible 3-hour Sunset Dinner Cruise! The night was magical, with gorgeous views of the bay, playful dolphins, and the absolute highlight--a five-course dinner by the talented @ChefWesleyNogueira from @khloeskitchen. Each course was a delight, from the artisanal charcuterie platter to spiced chicken meatballs with cranberry chutney, squid in tomato sauce, a perfectly cooked steak with mushrooms and ravioli, and a chocolate cake topped with Ferrero Rocher. Every bite was exquisite, and the sunset-lit waters of St. Augustine added a perfect touch of serenity. If you're celebrating a special occasion or just want an extraordinary evening, I highly recommend this cruise! A blend of fine dining, scenic beauty, and peaceful moments on the water--this experience is truly a must-do. My instructor, Nuri, was not only highly knowledgeable but also made the learning process enjoyable. He explained the techniques in a clear and accessible way, even for a complete beginner like me. Nuri's expertise and teaching style made everything feel within reach, and I quickly gained the confidence I needed to learn. Feeling inspired, I joined Women on the Water to continue my sailing journey. After years of waiting to learn how to sail, I'm excited to be on this path. Though I still have a lot to learn, I'm thrilled that St. Augustine Sailing offers so many courses to help me improve and eventually become a skilled sailor. I highly recommend this sailing class to anyone, whether you're just starting or looking to sharpen your skills. I can't wait to get back out on the water!
