Steve and his team took time to explain everything they were doing and why to us. This was a situation similar to another reviewer where we weren't sure what we would uncover as the reason for the issue since we have wall to wall carpeting so we understood from the outset that Steve's quote was based on best case scenario but he really worked extremely hard to keep his quote accurate in spite of some unforeseen issues. The other thing that impressed me so much about Homefront is that Steve has experts each with their own individual expertise working to ensure the best job is done. In our case, we had both carpeting professionals and construction professionals working together to not only ensure the flooring and subflooring was fixed but then brought in a professional carpet layer to make sure everything back even better than before! (Our carpeting had begun to develop some 'lumps' which were taken care of also - icing on the cake). I cannot give enough of a glowing recommendation throughout the entire design and remodeling process that blue collar scholars provided. They showed up on time for the estimate, provided multiple options, gave us multiple designs and material selections for our home addition in Maryland. We got three quotes, however, this company's professionalism and attention to detail is what sold us. Working with their architect Sam was also an incredible experience in itself. When shovels finally broke around three months later, the foundation team, the framing team and the roofing team did a great job, keeping everything clean as we were still living in the house. We finally had to move out for two months as they opened up the original part of the house and connected it to the addition and completed all of the finish finishes. There is now a gorgeous, open kitchen, a brand, new master suite, an amazing Jacuzzi, a custom sauna, beautiful, big windows, and just incredible tile work throughout the new bathrooms we have. Their landscaping team did a phenomenal job completely over hauling our backyard. We now have privacy and a lot more space for our family.

We now have the best patio in our DC neighborhood, our drainage problems are nonexistent and we are able to host gatherings very easily with tons of fun! They provided options for a stone patio, paver patio, and a brick patio. Obviously, as you can see in the pictures, we went with the brick! They delivered excellent craftsmanship and top notch design experience at a fair price. I initially hired Gerber to tune-up all my existing pavers, add a new paver driveway, and add some new path lighting. Adding the new driveway was somewhat of a challenge as the adjacent paver sidewalks were initially constructed over 10 years ago. So, Gerber was able to find a great match to my existing pavers and masterfully piece the new driveway together in such a fashion where old and new appear seamless. Amazing!!! During the process, we learned that his team also offered landscaping. So as the hardscaping and lighting was coming to an end, his team met with us for a design consultation. Both Kathy and Katherine brought some great experience/knowledge to assess our current situation and offered wonderful ideas to the overall design.
