I've been to about 4 other hairstylists/salons prior to this one. Some I've spent years going to and for one reason or another (Examples: cut my hair shorter than I asked, felt like they hated their job, price was insanely high) I left them. Thank goodness for Kinzie! I came in with lighter colored hair and wanted to go back to darker/closer to roots. I informed Kinzie that I suffer from eczema and dry scalp (have some scabbing on my scalp) and Kinzie treated me with the most non judgmental approach I've ever experienced. My previous stylist and her assistant gave off a "ick" or "rather be working with someone else vibe". Not Kinzie! I was referred by a friend and I went in for a shampoo and a haircut and was treated with such kindness and compassion by my hairstylist, Kamie. Kamie is extremely thorough in her craft and really goes above and beyond to make sure her client is happy and satisfied with their hair. She is super easy to talk to and having a conversation with her makes the time go by so fast! I also love how bubbly she is! I'm giving this place a one‑star review. I went in for a consultation before booking my appointment, and based on that consultation, it seemed like they knew what they were doing. Because of that, I booked the appointment with confidence. Later, I found out they had booked me for the wrong service. I went in for a color when I actually needed a color correction. I chose to stay because I needed my hair done for an important event--my daughter's baptism. I'm not blaming the hairstylist who did my hair, because she wasn't the one who made the mistake. The issue was with the stylist who handled my consultation (unfortunately, I don't remember her name). Had I known the appointment was booked incorrectly, I would have changed the service and the time, especially since this wasn't my first color correction and I know it takes hours. The color I asked for was not the color I received. The result was mismatched--much redder at the bottom and lighter at the top. Being 9 months postpartum, this affected me more than they realize. I asked for a discount due to the inconvenience and the booking error, but they refused, saying I still received the service. The problem is that they booked me for the wrong service in the first place. They did offer to fix the color, but after everything that happened--and considering how vulnerable I already feel postpartum--I will not be going back. read more

I want to express how disappointed I am with my experience. After my hair color appointment, I was unhappy with the result and I immediately texted you to let you know. She scheduled me for a follow-up appointment to fix it, but after that, there were multiple rescheduling issues. You repeatedly said you wanted to reschedule because your boss was not there. Then, she texted me saying she experienced back pain and had to go to the emergency room, she informed mlast minute, which I understand can be inconvenient. However, overall, I felt there was a lack of professionalism and proper care throughout this process. I was originally told to come in and that my hair would be fixed, but that did not happen. The day before my rescheduled appointment, you informed me that you could no longer do it and that it would cost me more money to go lighter. This was very frustrating because the reference photo I showed clearly had lighter pieces, which is what I requested from the beginning. Unfortunately, this experience made me feel that there is no professional care or consistency at this salon, and I am very disappointed with how everything was handled. read more
