We called in January and was asking about positions opening up, as I was about to leave for military training. The owner answered the phone and responded very rudely stating that nobody told us there were openings Spring of 2024, and that we must have made that up, because there isn't availability until 2025. He stated that we were lying about someone saying there were openings in Spring of 2024. Why would we lie about something we were told?? Then we get a call in March of 2024 saying that there's an opening (wow Spring of 2024 like stated before) but I absolutely will not bring my child to a facility where the manager would rather call parents liars than just speak the truth about not knowing. The manager is clearly greedy, prideful, and immature for calling me a liar when integrity is my first core value. I paid a deposit to be disrespected and insulted.

However, during my conversation with Jim, he mentioned that this issue has been ongoing for several weeks. This follows a discussion I had with a staff member regarding the disrespectful comments made during an incident where two other staff members attempted to label my child as a troublemaker. It is worth noting that I had just left the facility, where everyone had been very kind and accommodating to me. When I returned to the school to resolve the situation, I was let in by a staff member. However, Jim reacted by slamming his phone down, pointing his finger, and jumping up yelling at me in front of my child, which created a distressing experience for him. According to the handbook on page 16, paragraph two, staff are expected to behave in a non-threatening manner, yet Jim's conduct was hostile and intimidating. I am attempting to understand the appropriate timing for convening a meeting with parents when there are concerns about a parent's disrespectful behavior towards both children and staff. It is troubling that the parent has not been informed of these issues, yet the child faces the severe consequence of expulsion from school. How is it possible for weeks to pass without any communication, only for a child to be expelled just a week before Christmas for matters that could have been addressed earlier? It seems evident that there may have been a personal bias influencing this decision. It seems that some staff members on your roster are not adequately prepared to engage with toddlers and their parents. Establishing a sense of comfort and preference in an educational environment is crucial at a young age. Goddard Is suppose to be an education performed for young minds and the foundation of there future which seems you all have failed my son .

I was scheduled numerous interviews for jobs that I can now no longer attend. If I'm paying money, I would assume that the services are expected to be rendered without issues like this happening. This is unprofessional to say the least and my son will not be returning to your daycare. I also want to add, that yes, I did get a little hot headed as well after being verbally attacked and refused services for no reason except that my wife wasnt working that day. But when it comes to my children and my education and you verbally attack me in front of them, do not expect me to not stand my ground, as I hope ANY parent would do.

There are a lot of expectations on parents as far as protocols and drop off and pick up times (even after changing close time from 6 pm to 5 pm), yet my child's daily report card isn't filled out half the time. I never know what he ate or how much. The nap time is CLEARLY copied on every paper, so I don't know how long my child actually slept. The last two years, there was supposed to be "parent teacher conferences" that was canceled on the day of the meeting. They don't actually care about feedback. I don't care about frills - I don't need cameras and I don't need Montessori style classrooms. I do expect someone who is watching my kid all day to make them feel welcome. I do expect to be able to know when my child slept and what my child ate. I expect to know why my child got a "grumpy" on their daily sheet, and why that is the only time they choose to circle the many options for "mood for the day." My expectations are not exactly high, yet this school falls incredibly short.

I have been connected to Langford Farms Club since I was a teenager and have many fond memories…read morethere. When the previous owners, Brad and Becky, were in charge, the club felt like family. Over the years, I have primarily been a tennis member, but in April of this year I decided to purchase a full membership under the new ownership because of the amenities and improvements being advertised at that time. These included extended pool hours, a 24-hour gym, renovations throughout the facility, and resurfacing of three tennis courts. I understand that major upgrades take time and resources, and I was patient with that process. However, several of the marketed changes either did not occur or were delayed significantly. For example, the 24-hour gym was not operational until late July, despite being advertised in April. The pool hours were promoted as open until 8 p.m. all summer, but were later changed to close at 6 p.m. in the latter part of the season. The tennis court resurfacing is now stated to be dependent on future investors, meaning it is not guaranteed. In addition, I observed maintenance issues such as the adult pool containing significant debris on more than one occasion. I posted two brief, polite comments on the club's Facebook page noting the debris and the pool hour change. These comments contained no vulgar or disrespectful language. Shortly after, I found that I had been blocked from the club's Facebook page without prior notice or any request to communicate through alternative channels. This was concerning, as the page is where members receive updates and important information. I also experienced a serious health concern. On one occasion, my roommate and I both ate lunch and dinner at the poolside grill and became violently ill later that evening. I sent the owner a private message to let him know this was a possibility -- not to make a public complaint, but so he could be aware in case there was an issue that needed to be addressed. My concern was dismissed outright, with the owner stating that no one else had complained. In our conversation, he also dismissed other points I raised about the facility, saying my feedback carried less weight because he believed I had not attended the clubhouse often enough. When I arranged a face-to-face meeting to discuss these matters in a calm and professional manner, the owner confirmed that he removes Facebook comments he considers unfavorable. I explained that my reduced visits this summer were partly due to personal hardships, including two family bereavements and a job change; these statements were not acknowledged. Throughout the meeting, I was interrupted frequently, and my concerns were met with defensiveness. When I raised the topic of improving customer service and communication, the owner abruptly ended the conversation, told me the discussion was over, and escorted me out of the building in front of other members, opening the office gate forcefully and walking me to the exit. I have also personally seen other members' concerns about similar issues posted to Facebook, only to be removed, and during our conversation the owner acknowledged that multiple families had approached him directly with disappointment about the direction of the clubhouse. My membership has since been cancelled at my request, and while I appreciate that no further charges will be made, my experience leaves me concerned about the club's current management approach. I hope that in the future, member feedback will be met with constructive dialogue, professional communication, and the delivery of amenities as advertised. From my personal experience along with others, this to be an unsafe environment, emotionally, for family's who are paying for a positive experience. If any feedback and concerns are addressed it is met with unprofessionalism, retaliation, and defensiveness.

In the last 10-20 years this…read moreplace is nothing more than a daycare that allows others to join so they can pretend to be "Langford Farms Club" and supplement income. In my opinion it will never be what it was prior to the summer camp/daycare taking over. Adults should be able to use the adult pool anytime if we are forced to pay the pricey membership fees. In fact we used to be able to use every part of the club while there... including the indoor basketball court. The owners need to make a choice. Prioritize the club or prioritize the daycare. It cannot be both. 20 years ago the pool was open year round / was covered with a heated bubble in the winter. That owner let the bubble go and fell further into financial hardship... thus the camp was necessary to keep $ flowing. It's a very old establishment and I'm unsure why folks without a lot of cash flow to fix it up keep purchasing it. After reading the others reviews about the food safety and dirty pools: contact the health department and report your concerns. It will not fall upon deaf ears there.
