A local Brazilian spot that speaks just enough English to make English speakers feel welcome. Large…read morespace that can seat large parties. Contrary to other reviews, I thought the best thing about this joint was the salad/dessert buffet bar, which is reminiscent of Souplantation in Western United States. Some of the items include spinach, lettuce, beets, carrots, peas, corn, broccoli, chimichurri, tomatoes, and some of the fruits include mangoes, pineapples, melons, basically very healthy compared to the typical heavy Brazilian fare! And desserts such as homemade flan, jello, and pudding. Of course, there are also French fries and fried yuccas to round out the buffet. As for meat, there were about 6 different meats that came around, plus grilled cheese and grilled pineapple, and as other reviewers have said, they were all quite salty. It was only edible in our minds when paired with the salads and fruits. Overall, would recommend at $32.50 Brazilian reales on a Sunday (I think usually less than $30 on weekdays?). Great deal for us, but keep in mind my party was used to NYC and LA prices.

First of all, I'm fairly sure the location on Yelp is wrong. The restaurant is one block south,…read morethen one block west of the bus terminal. If you can find it, definitely give Gaucho a try. For those who aren't aware of the Brazilian Churrascaria format--this is basically a delicious meat buffet. And in this case it's a buffet for approximately $10 USD per person. You can't go wrong there. I really enjoyed the casual yet authentic vibe; many Brazilian families were inside, celebrating birthdays etc. The various meats were great too, of course, but I thought the unspoken hero of the experience was the side bar, where we got to sample many Brazilian dishes. For tourists looking to sample the country's cuisine dish-by-dish, we couldn't have picked a better place to try a lot without being committed to one item ordered off a menu. Eat the chocolate pie type thing! Another tip: they accept Visa.
