My daughter had her wedding at Windsong on 5/22/26 and it was so absolutely perfect. I had about 4 hours to set up.....Im guessing I didnt realize how time consuming the set up would be. I had amazing help....it was just such a chaotic day with trying to make sure bride and groom didnt see each other and getting every detail right and so much more.....and without Aimee, it just wouldnt have happened!! She jumped in and helped me so much (after I told her she wouldn't be stepping on any toes, and I would be more than happy to accept any help,because I could tell she wanted to give me advice but wanted to repect our boundaries as well). Aimee jumped in and started helping set up tables, decorating, telling me what she thought looked good and what didnt, helping with so many details, and just being a Godsend in general!! I can honestly say that without her I would not have had the time to share all of the special moments with my daughter on her special day. Because of Aimee's willingness to help along with her experience I was able to help my daughter get ready for her wedding, see the "first look" moments between her and her dad and grandfather, even the small things like me and her getting moments captured between us talking and crying while getting ready by the photographers. I will forever be grateful for everything Aimee and her husband helped with. It was a perfect day for a dream wedding with amazing people at Windsong and I would recommend this venue over and over again!!!! Planetarium show was an extra $10 each. There are some free shows that happen throughout the day as well. Each exhibit room focus on a different area of science plus lots of hands on kids science activities around every corner! Plus lots of bathrooms and benches. David Rives was present and happy to talk with families who were visiting. Humble, friendly guy! They also had a coffee/snack bar and a great gift shop with lots of books and a whole section of homeschool resources. Best part, everything was tied back to how "the Bible knows best!" Our personal favorite was the Planetarium show in the big sphere. I also loved the Biblical aspect and all the education there was that ties back to the Bible. I've never been to a museum like that before, and it was so refreshing! We spent 4 hours there, but could have spent even more! They have a cafe with drinks and food. I just got back from a retreat here with The Christian Singles Hub for their annual Summer Camp. It…read morewas so needed, such a blessing, and when I got back everyone commented that I looked so refreshed, and 2 people even said I was "glowing". The grounds are beautiful but wear proper footwear - the road is gravel! I was in cabin 6 which was perfect because it was furthest from the lodge and right next to the field and creek. So every morning I woke up early, went out onto the back porch, sat at the little table with my Bible & notebook, & enjoyed being out in the woods with the field & creek visible. The cabin itself was beautiful, modern, and well decorated. It truly felt like home. The trail was absolutely stunning, had us cross the creek, and led to a nice little grassy plain at the top of the hill with a cross at the end! The lodge was nice and cozy and spacious, and the outdoor gazebo where we had our white party the last night was breathtaking, with views of the lake in the distance. The lake was gorgeous with a fountain in the middle. I did the paddle boat and the double kayak with friends. Other people in our group did the stand up paddle board thing and the life jackets came in handy!! The pool was clean, perfect size and perfect depth. I had no service at the retreat which was perfect because it kept me off my phone. There was free wifi though so self control is still needed
