Then, when October 15th was getting closer, I kept contacting him. He wouldn't return emails or calls - repeatedly. When I finally reached someone in their office, they said they needed more info from me. I sent it. Still no response, no completed return, and the deadline was upon us. I hired a different CPA on October 12th to do my return. Then, I received a letter from the IRS stating that he never filed for my extension in April and I owe another $2400 for filing late. This guy took over the business of my previous CPA, and he should not be trusted with your taxes.
