Rob was consistently attentive, friendly, professional, and very patient with my several requests, even while the restaurant was busy with many people coming and going. We especially appreciated that they have a sink inside the dining area so guests can easily wash their hands whenever needed, which is perfect for a seafood boil restaurant. Yooooooooooo. I swear y'all be sleeping on the flavors at Rocking Crab. So I tried the other location last week, loved the flavor so ordered the Cajun pasta special for lunch again this location and it tasted AS GOOD. I like that you can get your seafood boil quick and fast instead of waiting in line and going through a whole 2 hour meal process. It's fast and easy. The dude working the counter was super cool and awesome. I barely found out they have other locations in a different state and brought it over to vegas. Wanted to try out this brand new seafood takeout place that just opened on Blue Diamond and Decatur. Because it's more of a takeout place than a dine in place, we decided to choose takeout. Some food items here are a little expensive than others, but you get what you pay for. Otherwise, everything that we tried here was really good. I'm a huge seafood fan and I'm trying to boost my vitamin D levels by incorporating more fish into my diet, having been diagnosed with a vitamin D deficiency a couple months back. I ordered shrimp fries with mild spice and Kyle ordered crab fries, plus we got two crab cakes on the side (one each for the both of us). When we went to go pick it up, it was ready in an instant. The seasoning on the shrimp fries was perfect and not too spicy for my taste. Kyle said that his crab fries were delicious. The crab cakes were crispy on the outside and smooth on the inside. Very disappointing dining experience. The server was extremely rude and showed little to no customer service throughout our visit. We felt ignored and unwelcome, which made the entire meal unpleasant. Regardless of the food quality, poor service can ruin the experience, and unfortunately that was the case here. Food is typically good here and is normally our go to place since it is close to our house. We came here on a Tuesday and opted to get the head on shrimps for $12 a lb which is a great deal. We proceed to order 2 lbs worth but wanted only to order one side of rice, corn, and sausage. We were charged for two sides of each. I requested them to be removed but it seems like the cashier don't know what I was asking or wasn't sure how to remove it so I decided to just keep the order. The worker brought food out to our table in a tray and left. We weren't sure if he was coming back to bring our rice. We waited for about 7 mins. The cashier got busy so we waited until he was free. I went up and ask for my rice. He went back and got me one order. I showed him the receipt that he charged us two order and never removed the first one. He told us they ran out of rice and is making more. We went back and started to eat our food. 20 mins later, we noticed people were getting their order with rice. My wife went up when she noticed the cashier was not busy anymore to remind him we are still missing an order. He told her to go have a seat and he will bring it out to our table. We waited a bit longer, taking our time eating slowly so we have something left over to eat with our rice. The rice never came. The food became cold. To top it off, they shorted us on the other sides that we originally ordered too but didn't bother letting them know. Even though this isn't going to be a deal breaker for us to stop going, since we do enjoy the food here and have been here a few times with excellent service. Today fell a bit short. We got overcharged and didn't get all of our food. We asked multiple times and they somehow still forgot our order to the point that our food got cold waiting for things that never came out. read more

After a long time of waiting for construction to end and it to open, my husband and I got to try this place! Let me start by saying i have ate at alot of crab boil places and this one is a top 3 for me and my husband. We got the Rockin Combo 1 to try it out as we ( me being pregnant) craving crab. It had 1/2 lb of snow crab, 1/2 of whatever seafood you want in it, we choose shrimp , and 4pcs sides ( 1 each of potato, boiled egg, sausage, and corn) all in a rich garlic butter spice sauce that is hot but sweet at the same time! Heat level we choose was medium! Alot of boils in town dont have garlic noodles so when we saw them on the menu for only $5 we had to add it on. Being asian, we never skip rice with any boil so it was same here. The store owner/ manager Jason was really helpful and informed us on all the specials they have to offer. His staff and him have great customer service skills and when i I mean great I mean ( " how is your food? , do you need anything else, what else can we help you with. We have gloves , bibs, lemons, salt and pepper if you need them" ) great service! They came to check on us so often. The inside is lightly decorated with rope nets and other sea theme items. The store front and front of house looked clean and inviting. Clean smell not like most places that just smell of seafood. (Great air ventilation) Over all 9/10 would come in again. 1 point less because I expect 1/2 lb shrimp would be more but everything was Incredible!! read more

Came to Cajun Crush off Blue Diamond for a seafood fix and left really happy (and super full). We ordered the seafood boil with 1 lb shrimp + crab leg cluster, plus another 1 lb bag of shrimp--everything was fresh and cooked just right. The boil came with corn, sausage, and potatoes; the potatoes were perfectly tender and seasoned, and the sausage had great flavor. We also tried the wings (crispy, flavorful, and still juicy inside) and calamari, which was surprisingly good--light, not rubbery. The only thing that was "ok" in my opinion was the sauce; I've had stronger Cajun flavor elsewhere, but it still did the job and it wasn't salty. Upon walking in, it's definitely not the typical wide space seafood boil place we're used to, it was a small shop with a few tables--you can tell their focus is takeout. We decided on 3lbs of shrimp and 12 of their Cajun wings, and OMG the first bite of the wings I knew o was already in love with this place. It was hot, fresh, lightly battered, tangy, spicy, sweet, this was the best wings I've ever had! I then went in on the shrimp, and DAMN the sauce was so flavorful, yet not too salty. It's not like any other seafood boil place I've tried which is generally overally garlic. My friends and I finished all 12 wings and 3lbs of shrimp in under 10mins, the flavor makes you want to keep having more!! That makes no sense, I get verifying a pick up but if the order is already payed for PRIOR then saying the name for pick up should good enough. I highly recommend trying the seafood boil if you enjoy flavorful crab, shrimp, crawfish and sausage. The seafood boil is the way to go. It came with sweet crab legs, shrimp, crawfish was a little small still taste very good, the sausage had a Smokey taste, seasoned eggs, and sweet corn in garlic butter and Cajun seasoning. We also tried the chicken wing with a dry rub and plain they came out hot added some hot sauce - very good. We shared and still had food left over. Love this place, they are the first seafood boil spot I have tried that puts ramen noodles in their boil and I absolutely love it. Edited to add that I see the owner has doubled down on this being policy - absolutely crazy to me as I've never seen this anywhere else. I think customer service is far more important than the occasional theft. Especially when delivery drivers cannot even see full last names or actual phone numbers. I've visited this location several times and usually it's a perfectly normal experience with pretty good food. However, this is the second time now that I've been asked by the same employee for ID when picking up an online order. Even when I give the full name and phone number, he is still reluctant to hand the order over and makes a comment about how usually they need ID. I find it very odd and off putting. read more
