I had purchased a class from them and barely started when I had a medical issue that required surgery. They only allow 6 months to complete their classes, others allow upward to two years. When I was able to start my studies again I was faced with expired but you can renew it by paying nearly the same amount to extend for 90 days! I sent a message requesting they consider reducing that if possible. I was barely into month seven at the time. After a few days of no response I sent another message expressing my disappointment that I had not received a response good or bad. After waiting a few more days it was time - I have since purchased the class I needed for less money through another provider. My clientele have always received same day responses! Great so far. The teaching was good, instructors friendly. I think this is good preparation to take my exam.

Passed with ease - first attempt. I felt very prepared with Rockwell's system. The questions were *very* familiar, some were almost exactly what I saw on the crams, in the books, and what we practiced in class with games. I feel like I could hear the instructors (Deborah) voice in my head drilling in the information and correct answers that I needed to answer the questions. I followed Rockwell's advice about passing all the cram tests with at least 90%, I tried to not rush through the state exam, but it felt easy. There was one thing I hadn't heard of or seen before on the test, they used the term "mutual assent" to talk about a "meeting of the minds," I had never heard of mutual assent before, but this was minor. The math problems were even easier on the state than the ones on the crams, so that was nice. Overall, if you're like me and you want to avoid all the nervousness of taking a major exam by being prepared, then Rockwell is a worthwhile investment - worth every penny and every minute of time. I love that I felt the exam was easy and moved through the questions with ease. read more

Rockwell Institute used to provide excellent service, but they had gone down hill just a bit the last time I used the service. Rockwell still provides quick, above-average phone customer service, but the DRE and Rockwell both provided much confusion about which classes I needed, causing me to take the wrong classes for several weeks. After that, they provided little communication to clear up the classes. After I asked for help, I did not get it. I requested a refund for classes not accepted by the DRE. Rockwell then decertified me on both classes even though one of the classes may or may not provide some credits accepted by the DRE. After being not so nice, Rockwell then said that they will restore the credit, but I don't know if they ever did. read more

The Rockwell Institute format is completely dysfunctional and outdated. I see other online study methods with videos of live instructions and Rockwell is just page after page of reading material with generic pictures and occasional animated figures with computer generated voices. It is not conducive to learning at all. I can read all information in a textbook instead of reading it on a computer screen. There is no explanation of what has to be learnt just "textbook" words. I am HATING it and regret ever signing up with this company. If I had not spend hundred of dollars with this course I would have left it at the beginning. What could be a fun learning environment is pure torture! What should take a few minutes to complete is taking me hours. Highly suggest you get a trial before signing up so you can see for yourself. read more

I originally started looking into getting a real estate license after seeing a competitor's ad on Google for like $99 for the course. Upon further research into the pass rates and reviews of the companies, I decided this would definitely be a case of you get what you paid for. I went to an Open House and the Realtor hosting had used that school - she passed the National test but failed the State portion because they didn't cover it at all. Rockwell covered all the material thoroughly. I did the online course and took my time. Got through everything, did a couple of the practice tests in the cram course and was confident that I would do ok on the test. I went in, completed the test fairly quickly and passed. As another reviewer stated, do take your time to read the questions because they like to be a little tricky. The math portions of my test were easy (other than my brain freeze moment when the first question had to do with acres & sqft which I know from my work experience for the last 12 years lol). If you have one of those brain freeze moments, just mark the question for review and move on. It will generally come back to you and you can go back to the question. I highly recommend this class for anyone wanting to get licensed. I took it for the Washington test and felt everything was covered well. read more

The cram course they have is very similar to the exam you take and also had very similar questions, so make sure you take those courses! Rockwell is the BEST online program for future real estate brokers! We started with another program and, after a couple of weeks of frustration trying to understand their poorly written documentation and slides, we decided to switch. I remembered Rockwell from living in the Seattle area. I had even considered joining my friend in their classes in Bellevue. So, I searched for them online. As soon as I opened their demo I knew we had to sign up. Their slides were very well organized and were all written assuming zero knowledge of the material. They made all of the concepts and terms easy to understand. It was a day and night difference from the other school. My friend chose the other school and had to take the exam 4 times. Another broker told me they also used that other school and had to take the exam 6 times! I PASSED THE FIRST TIME!! My husband passed the first time as well. We passed because the Rockwell program closely matches the actual exam. Not only was I fully prepared for testing, but I was also prepared to begin my mentoring program at the firm my friend and I chose. I was thrilled that I understood the information my principal broker was sharing in our training sessions! Given all of that, I plan to sign up for Rockwell's continuing education. Being a busy mom I took the Rockwell online course and worked at my own pace. Rockwell did an excellent job in covering the materials needed for the test. After completing the course, I ordered the "extension mock-up Exams" (because my time to access Rockwells course had expired) to prepare, and The only thing I thought that could change was the fact I had to pay a little over $100 for access to the extension. As a student at Rockwell, extensions should be discounted for students as other online companies offered the same service for $100 for non members. But overall I would highly recommend Rockwell for your Real Estate course. Tip: For the online course, be sure you do the mockup exams at the end of your course a few times because almost every question was on the state exam. That will also prevent you from spending over $100 on an extension. read more

Super disappointed with Rockwell and how they are squeezing extension fees out of their customers during this tough time. I spoke with two employees on two separate occasion and they were both unwilling to listen to reason and would not allow any exceptions to be made. Please be considerate of your customers and their extenuating circumstances during COVID and consider allowing a fee waiver of one extension. I've been a big advocate of Rockwell and used them for my pre-licensing courses and have recommended them to many people looking to get licensed, but will not recommend them anymore. read more

The web-based course is organized well and has the right information. I just finished it and believe there will be no problem in passing the exam. I rarely used the books. They have some unique info but very little, so this is a mostly painless way to absorb the information. HOWEVER, the person writing the online course was extremely biased against "non-diverse" males. Most of the time, I say most because I didn't pay attention as closely in the first part of the course, when there's an example of a figure of authority, the example is "she" or "her" with a photo of a woman. Every ambiguous example is "she" or "her", such as: "The managing broker will bear ultimate responsibility for HER team." However every negative example is a white male, such as: "By accepting a kickback from an unauthorized party, HE is committing a crime", with an example picture of a white male dunce. This is an obvious pattern of discriminatory, sexist, and racist content and distracts from what you are paying to learn. read more

I recently used the online classes to take my real estate broker's exam. The class was easy to follow and many of the test questions were on the actual state exam which was nice as I already knew the exact answers to them. My only knock is that the voice on the classes are very robotic and monotone. They made me fall asleep at times. Also, I didn't like the fact that you had to log 90 hours no matter what, but I'm sure that's a state requirement and beyond their control. I finished the course in way less than 90 and I had continue to click on next on the course just to log the hours. One last thing is that the practice tests suggest you get a 90% plus on all the quizzes before taking the exam, but I got mostly 80% on them just going through them once and had no issues passing the state exam. read more

I took this class with Ellen and Jim online. They were good teachers and i learnt a lot from them! How ever they didnt tell the class to take the CRAM tests ONLINE to get the test refund if you dont pass the first time! I got a book from the institute thats full of practice tests but you must however use their online CRAM testing or it doesnt count. Just be aware of this.....it bit me in the butt. They wont refund you for not understanding this or for not being told it must be ONLINE even if all you do online was their final tests! read more

Getting through all the material takes awhile. I had to write out many of the questions in flash card form so that the information stuck in my head but that might just be me. All of the information is necessary for your learning. Felt I was very well prepared to take the state Brokers exam. Feel I have an educational advantage over my peers because of my studies. I was referred to Rockwell Institute to prepare for and complete my real estate license state exam by my managing broker and mentor. And I accomplished my goal. I signed up for the online program and I'm so glad I did, since I had easy access to the instructors through the phone calls and email. The flexibility to it on my schedule and six month time limit helped me stay disciplined, focused and goal oriented. The instructors were very quick to respond to my questions/ concerns about the study material and very informative while helping me get unstuck with difficult math for tax assessments and calculating capitalization rate. The study material for the real estate exam is no doubt intensive and Rockwell did a great job of mixing it with quizzes, cram exams and videos not to mention the tips of passing the multiple option state tests. I am a visual learner and the training material helped a lot with my daily goals. The time tracker is equally helpful. Used their 90 hour class and before I went to take test they want to charge me 99$ to do their cram course which I already paid for. 99$ because I didn't use it in time... state gives you 2 years to take the test after the course. I took their online real estate broker course and I can honestly say it was worth every penny. The materials covered everything thoroughly and I went into my state licencing exam well prepared. As long as you take the time to study well and go over the materials you will be ready for any question they throw at you. Furthermore, not just to simply pass the CA state exam but to finish it in under 1 hour and 20 minutes when the alotted time is actually 3 hours and 15 minutes. The online course is filled with amazing graphics, illustrations and in-depth explanations that make learning the material extremely fun. I attended the school in Bellevue in Feb 2019, due to the snow storms unfortunately 5 classes were cancelled but we were sent the on line classes so we did not fall behind. They keep you on track by limiting the time you have to finish the classes on line , you have two days. At first it seemed a overwhelming amount of information, but hang in , it gets easier as you go and starts to make sense. I did all the cram test, I think there was twelve of them and reviewed all questions I missed. A few days after classes I took the exam and passed. There was a few questions I wasn't sure of the answers but most questions I knew the answers! I took the online course last year for the Real Estate Fundamentals & Practices Courses + Cram Course. I am very pleased with it. I HATE taking online classes overall, I am just old school and prefer face-to-face education but if you absolutely need to take your licensing package online then Rockwell is the way to go. This was a very easy to follow curriculum with quizzes and tests that prepare you well. Make sure you do all the practice exams - every one of them as they're extremely valuable. I breezed right through the state exam as a result of this course and studying the material, passing it the first time. Also, I talked to the staff several times over the phone with requests and they were super accommodating which I much appreciate. Only downside is the robot voice which can be boring to listen to.
