I'm a 35 year old guy who's accustomed to taking my chances at Great Clips or one of the other local chains, but given the proximity to where I live (Briar Chapel) and the superior service I just received, I've found my new regular place! I dealt with scheduling issues with stylist Jennifer 4 out of the 7 or 8 times I booked an…read moreappointment with her over the past 6 months. I booked most of my appointments via the salon's website and even though I received email and sms confirmations for every appointment, when I'd ultimately get there for my appointment either she was running an hour behind or I wasn't on her schedule at all. Each time all I got were excuses about "an issue with their scheduling system". So with that said, for my most recent cut last week I had to move my appointment back by a day so I did that on their site and just to be extra diligent given the prior scheduling issues, I DM'd her on instagram (which she encouraged me to do given the continued issues with their web site) to confirm the change in my appointment a few days prior to the appointment date and she got back to me confirming my appointment with her was on the schedule for that Saturday. Well surprise surprise, I get there that Saturday and I am told by the very junior staff who were there that she is not in and her schedule is blocked off for that day. I dm'd her on instagram asking what happened given she confirmed the appointment with me directly a few days earlier and how does she respond? With a thumbs up emoji to my DM. Like WTF!? I'll give credit where credit is due, she is a great stylist and a very nice person and if she didn't do such a good job with my cut the first time, after the second scheduling mishap I would have taken my business elsewhere but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and kept going back. But now after 4 scheduling mishaps in 6 months, it's absolutely inexcusable so I'm done and will not be giving Hawk and Fade my business going forward.

If you're looking for a "salon" keep moving: Cadles gives a good cut, including the hot razor trim at the neckline, and figures (correctly) that you can wash your own hair.
