They truly feel like part of the family, helping to raise our daughter in a loving environment; and they operate a reliable business. For example, Kids Village always prepares for coverage during their personal time off; whereas a typical home daycare provider will take vacation time off, and you will need to adjust accordingly. On the flip side, they offer off hours child care with someone that your child is already familiar with. This is extremely important to us, as we don't have any family nearby for nights/weekend babysitting. The size is just right too; not too big where our daughter's only exposed to her own age range, and not too small where she doesn't have plenty of role models (and opportunity to be a role model). We have been so pleased with the clean, loving, fun, nurturing, educational environment that they've created. They truly are helping us raise our daughter, the way we could've only wished for.

It takes a special person to do what these ladies do and they do it very well. My son loves them, as do I, we feel like we are part of a family. As a first time mom, it was tough trusting the care for my son to another, but at our first meeting it felt warm and inviting like I've known them forever and had no doubts that this was the place for us. My son just turned 19 months old and I've been amazed at how fast he's learning. They are great teachers, role models and all around great people. Thank you for taking such great care of my son and teaching him everyday. We love you all very much.

The floors were dirty, the tables were dusty and overall the condition of the place was so poor. I'm 15 now, and The Stork Club was pretty much a nightmare to me. The only 2 teachers that seemed to actually care left and the rest of the teachers were lazy. The attendance of the staff is so poor. They really don't care about your kids and it's evident if you've ever spent a day here. Several times I felt unsafe and mistreated. The teachers obviously have favorites and have absolutely no knowledge on child development. Countless times, I felt mistreated here. When I was about 4, I remember bringing Cup Noodles to school and the my mother asked them to heat it up. One of the teachers heated it up for me, BUT proceeded to give me just the noodles and keep the soup for herself. This is unacceptable. Another time, a teacher was putting in her earrings, and I was confused yet fascinated so I watched her do it. The teacher saw me looking and proceeded to make rude comments about the way I looked at her (again this was when I was around 4). Possibly things could've improved but I'm glad my younger sister didn't have to go through that.

Did the director have cameras installed in every room and hall the following Monday? Three days after the issue was known? Absolutely! Do I wish I could have logged in and watched my boy on those cameras? Yes! Do I think that most parents would have just reacted with complaints why their Johnny and Susie were being left out or another kid was being a bully. Yup! So I'm ok with not being able to watch them. Overall our son was there from the time he was three months old till he stated K. His K teachers have said how well prepared he is and how nice of a boy he is. And all while he was at the stork club my wife and I were always amazed how much he was learning and the events they planned for the kids. Were there some young girls that worked there. Of course. But all of the rooms are led by older staff that it was easy to see they cared. Overall we had a great experience of this place and am happy to say our son loved it as well. We always found the place to be clean and neat and orderly. The main director was a bit tough. But so what. That was just who she was. Her role was not leading the rooms. It was running the business.

BEWARE OF THIS DAYCARE…read more As both a former employee and a parent, I would never recommend Rainbow Center in Wethersfield to any family. I left this center because I could no longer feel comfortable being associated with the environment children were being exposed to. During my time there, I witnessed staff yelling at children for having accidents instead of helping them with patience and compassion. In the 2's program specifically, I personally heard a staff member insult children by calling them "ugly," "disgusting like their parents," using the R-word toward a toddler, and calling another child a "s--- like her mother." I also witnessed children being handled roughly, including being dragged by the hood of a sweatshirt and yanked by their arms. One situation that especially upset me involved a 1 1/2-year-old child who had been stung by a bee and was told to "suck it up" instead of being comforted appropriately. What makes this even more concerning is that the same employee who spoke to children this way and handled them roughly was also babysitting some of these same children privately outside of daycare hours. I also witnessed serious concerns regarding illness policies. During a hand-foot-and-mouth outbreak, children were allowed to remain in classrooms despite visible sores because staff did not want to inconvenience parents late in the day. As a parent myself, that was extremely concerning. Another major issue was the lack of accountability from management. I repeatedly reported inappropriate behavior and concerns directly to administration, including through text messages, and little to no action was taken. The employee involved remained working with children. The culture among staff was deeply unprofessional. Teachers openly mocked parents, criticized children's lunches, made insulting comments about families, and even mocked disabilities in front of children. No child deserves to grow up in an environment where adults speak about them that way. There are wonderful childcare workers everywhere who genuinely love and protect children. Unfortunately, my experience at this center was the opposite, and I would strongly encourage parents to look carefully into other options before enrolling their child here. if you have questions or want proof my email is coarosex@gmail.com
