Seats were clean and I always loved the clean sweet smell of the theater. Throw blankets were waiting for us as well. Our waiter came to us just as our movie started. Drinks and the charcuterie plate took about 20 mins. This has been the standard wait time, especially with a full theater. We had a great time and enjoyed our movie.

Its not on the main standup circuit so it doesn't get some of the newer acts, but the other day I saw a couple of the newer acts making some noise lately taking the stage back to back. I reached out to a couple friends and we planned to make a night of it. It's right in the thick of the restaurants and bars of Mizner, so it was easy to have a bite and a drink and head over. The space is has multiple different rooms so that they can have multiple event at a time in different areas. It makes the common area feel like a office building somewhat. The venue we were pointed to was fine. Again, its for multiple type sof shows so it wasn't a "warm" comedy room which hurt the comedy a little. The first guy wasn't much, but the headliner had something. Her jokes were fine, her timing was solid. There isn't more than a couple venues up this way so we were glad to find out this one is fine.

He took his time explaining everything about the history of Boca and made the entire experience so engaging and informative. It has intimate seating, is immaculately clean, easy free parking, or valet, elevators for older patrons, nice bathroom facilities, hi-tech sound and audio equipment for a smaller space, the lighting sets that I witnessed, which I know nothing about in technical terms, were up during a production of my daughter's summer musical were artistically so far beyond what I have seen at adult regional theatre. This blew my mind! I felt like Judy Garland was going to pop out at any moment! The show that the group put on in that space, all with amateur kids, was beyond my wildest expectations. They made a play that was $12 that I would have paid to see on Broadway for $80 and still felt it was worth it, both because of the space and how well the kids were received by the audience, cracking up with laughter and crying during the emotional scenes. There is great food all around the area of the Arts Center here, free garage parking, paid metered street spots, an even valet at a downstairs Jazz club in the same building. Best area of Boca for culture and stuff to do. This kids drama troupe was phenomenal, and the space was more than I had expected. The friends that I dragged along to see my kids perform were expecting a auditorium stage like in a cafeteria with a performance by kids that was unbearable, and they left leaving stunned and thrilled with what they thought would be a waste of a night but wound up being better than an actual Broadway NY night now! That was an actual comment that I heard! Unbelieveable. They (the Arts Center, not the kids theater) did a great job turning this downtown building over into a multi-performance, restaurant, club, and office space from what occupied it before, the Cartoon Museum. If you ever have a chance to see a show here, especially if it is a kids show with that summer group, take advantage, and get in some much needed cultural arts into your life for a good price and a great night out! Take my advice. This place is a gem in a largely culturally-void world of South Florida, especially Boca. The area is being revamped and a huge residential building leads to the confusion and parking issues currently. You won't miss the tents if traveling on Fed Hwy/ US1. It was nice to see Murf, his daughter Ty, and other artist in a small quaint setting. More than several worked with mediums in glass and unique materials in addition to traditional art. Why the driver didn't have a business card or had made sure my daughter had the right number before she and her group went into a club, I can't say. Language barrier could have played a part. But no business card? Regardless, I am called at 1:30AM by my frantic daughter because she can't reach the driver. I call the company... they're not online at that time of night, but eventually get back to me, but not timely enough. My daughter and her friends felt like they had no option but to take an Uber home. Serious letdown for the evening. So I paid $1200+ for a limo, plus an Uber. Very disappointing.
