Ehhhh. This place is good for a quick beer.. maybe a single liquor mixed drink. There's only been one bartender that I've actually liked who makes good drinks, but they all kinda act like doing anything more than pouring a beer is inconvenient. They can't make mojitos or Moscow mules, but are able to quickly make drink classics like cape cod, vodka tonic, and whisky sour. Ladies restroom needed tending to as it was 9:30pm and already out of toilet paper. If you decide to be inside and like the feeling of an icebox, you're in luck. Excellent customer service! Both owners love to partake, in almost everything. They offer to clean your tables then check up on you especially if you're new. They have karaoke, an outside seating area and even a Tv showing outside through the window! The outside dining area has a warmer facing down so that you won't get cold. Me and my wife loved this place it was close to the house and had good vibes until last night when I came to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends and a young lady with purple hair that works there came at one of my friends with disrespect all for sitting on the rail which caused him to get disrespectful back she then threatened to call the cop which was completely uncalled for and as we got ready to leave she pulled a group of ppl out to try and Intimidate us which by the way not one person she pulled out was ready to get down with my group her and another young lady that works there started getting loud and cursing us out so I let them know that if it continues I'm going to act out and it all stopped so as we left I let the real owner know that we are regulars and he just lost a lot of customers and money so with that being said Fuck rockys and there staff that was there last night. read more

I would have to classify this bar as a neighborhood hangout. Bartenders seem to spot regulars from across the room and more than a few people seem familiar with eachother. No real frills, but several good things to point out here: The drinks are fair. Looked to be about 5 or 6 specials in the $4 range available on the Wednesday I attended. There are good TVs tuned into the right games. Also: If you prefer tables, they're sturdy, if you come solo, the bar has plenty of spots, and if you need to smoke, there is a peninsular patio that juts out into the parking lot. I was surprised to see a DJ on a week night, and boy oh boy, was he eager to get the crowd revved-up. He honored every song request and invited patrons to play a number of games. I can't say I would drive across town to drink at Rocky's, but if I lived in the neighborhood, it'd be hard to find a reason not to drop in. read more

Based on the area, Rocky's is one of the better bars. It's definitely more of sports bar than anything with several TVs lining the walls and a couple pool tables. The selections for Happy Hour change daily but are always priced well; outside of Happy Hour, the prices are reasonable, plus they offer free self-serve popcorn. The speed of service varies depending upon time of day and who is working. Recently, I've noticed this place has become more of a biker hangout in the evening; not that this change is bad or good, just something I've noticed the last couple visits. read more

This is a cool place to go with your boys and with your lady. I visited with my brother and our ladies for date night and have a great night. The place is nice and spacious, and has a little patio, great for smoking our cigars in the summer night breeze. They had dart boards and pool tables, which both were played that night. The ladies enjoyed a couple glasses of wine and my brother and I, a few glasses of good ole Texas craft beers, I recommend you try a few as well. Checked out the local watering hole for a home we hope goes through this month. Ricky's has pool tables, dart boards, at least 10 beers on tap, margaritas, and friendly bartender, Mandy, makes a great Maker's & Diet Coke. In addition, Coke was free for our designated driver!!! Not that we got sloshed or even intended to but that's a great thing for a bar to comp DD drinks. No smoking inside AND ... It smells free of any stale smoke! We came out smelling as good as when we went in! Coming from Lubbock where most bars still allow smoking, and being a recent smoke-free gal (4 years except some lapses at smoking-allowed bars), I truly appreciate not coming out smelling like an ashtray. Overall, clean, friendly, laid back neighborhood bar! The lack of one star was only because I didn't notice any lounging furniture. Tall seats at the bar and concrete rectangular tables with tall bar chairs. I prefer having my feet on the floor. Also they had free popcorn and peanuts but not sure if they serve food. But ended up being disappointed because it was so expensive... regular size from the tap was the same price as a bottle - $5.50 (more than double the cost of a Bud Lite on tap) - and an additional $2 if you order the tall glass. This place is legit. I once rode my horse here and they accommodated the pony parking I needed. Inside they have very comfortable bar stools but being me I do prefer to flip them over legs up and then rest my bum. We all have our thing. Their amazing staff really knows how to make you feel welcome. It's not a huge place but there's quite a few tables and lots of seating. They have 2 dart boards and 2 pool tables to keep you busy. Thursday night a dart league is there but they are usually done by 9 or so. Also on Thursday and Saturday nights they have a dj. He's awesome.. Plays great music. Ever on the lookout for homey dives with charm and good bar folk, I was interested to try this little strip mall gem. Lots of crafty beers on tap, including a hard cider (a tasty favorite of mine), a perfectly lit green oasis of felt in the cool dark was the beckoning pool table, and it was clean and cool after a hot afternoon on my motorcycle. I was SO READY to love this place! I wanted to feel at ease and welcomed by the attractive bartender, and I smiled at her in anticipation of the start of a new bar LTR. She smiled hesitantly and turned away to finish up her conversation with the boss or boyfriend, leaving me teetering on the edge of asking for a hard cider, smiling endearingly at the back of her head like a dolt. Bear in mind I am a straight woman with good hygiene, all my teeth and excellent bar ettiquette... No matter, shake it off, I mentally mumble. But in this nearly empty bar, I stood awkwardly waiting , as if asking for change on the street. The small knot of patrons began eyeing me with long looks, when in comes an apparent regular. The bartender breaks away from the huddle & chatting away, takes his order. Pours his beer. And goes back to her conversation. I pipe up. Would you pour me a hard cider? Please? I say in a very nice tone. She did. I was suitably grateful to take my pint to the smoking patio out front. It was a bit warmish, both weather and cider, I suppose to match the less warmish reception this intrepid bar patron experienced. Too bad. The last thing the northeast needs is another clique - ish tavern. On the plus side, nice amenities, easy access from 35 (O'Connor exit), near my favorite Lowe's (great plant bargains!) and next door to some outstanding Asian cuisine.
