In March 2024 they had an auction including "Chinese and Asian items". I bought two Chinese bronze swords but recently I was advised by an expert that they are both new fakes designed to deceive. On informing Aalders of this they admitted that they knew the items were not real antiques and thus gave no details of age in the descriptions. In my opinion this deliberate omission is morally wrong. Other reputable auctioneers describe replicas as "archaistic" or "in the style of". But not Aalders. They just hope no one knows! Aalders have refused me any refund and basically could not care less so they have now lost a customer of over 10 years. I hope other potential bidders see this review and avoid these cheats too.

Guys like Ken are in business for a long time because of reputation (and he has been in the business since he joined his father in 1978), because they have a clientele that not only go back but refer others to him. Engagement ring - no worries - select the stone and the style and if you can't pay upfront just give him a deposit and the ring will be kept in his safe until the big proposal. New jewellery doesn't also need to be an option. Ken can remodel jewellery by using the stones and metals in the old to handcraft something new. Stuck for inspiration? Ken also has jewellery already made and for sale in his showroom and it is beautiful (it sometimes features in Vogue magazine). You don't need an appointment but of course if you need Ken's opinion and need to work on a design with him then setting a time after the first consult is of course advisable. I can't recommend Ken more highly for handcrafted jewellery and expertise.

They insisted that it was USED ... because I had to see that it couldn't fit. They had zero concessions or regard for the customer experience, all they were obsessed with was losing money. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. There are heaps of bathroom places in the area, I would hit up National Apollo or even Bunnings before setting foot in this place! My partner loved them too, and had another piece of furniture made for his living room and he was very happy. Recently I had a divan bed made and again, it is fabulous. Andy delivered it, put it together, helped us move the carpet and furniture around too. Excellent customer service, friendly, helpful. Can't fault him or his team at all. They matched the bed paint colour perfectly to the other pieces of furniture made 6 years ago.
