Rode Hall is one of Cheshire's large, historical country houses providing a good historical attraction for those looking for a place for an interesting day out. It's interesting heritage and beautifully restored areas along with the exquisite gardens kept pristinely. However, unlike other large country houses dotted throughout the Cheshire countryside, this hall costs to be entered and all the money goes in the upkeep, maintenance and restoration of the country-house. The entrance fee for the entire estate is £6 for adults, £5 for concessions and £1 for children but Garden-Only tickets are also available with National Trust/RHS and HHA members allowed free into the grounds. The history, exhibits and the brilliantly restored/upkept rooms within the house are definitely worth a viewing tour of and it is also wheelchair friendly and dogs on leads that are obviously well-behaved are welcome within the gardens but not inside the interior. Throughout the year, the Farmer's market is available on the first Saturday of every month but other events use this beautiful venue as a backdrop. Definitely worth a visit if on a whistle-stop tour of Cheshire. read more
