I was prejudiced in my first review because I depend on this wonderful service for most everything. So when the hours were reduced due to the pandemic, I was wrong to short them for reduced service rather than applaud them for continued service, despite the risks to its drivers. I was also very sad the Ashland Connector was discontinued due to a shortage of drivers. There was nothing like it. Again, good on you RVTD for having it available in the first place. I still use RVTD regularly for medical appointments in Medford to determine whether or not I'm still alive. So far, I am. Which gives me the opportunity to apologize to RVTD. Thank you RVTD. route 60 is often late running inbound. The main issue I have, is that too many young, and healthy are sitting in elderly, and disabled seats. These riders all have their noses in the phones, and I have to ask them often to move over. Maybe before the people board, the driver can tell them all about the seats. It's disappointing that you have to remind people to pay attention to signs, I know, but this is a huge problem. One or more of these riders will catch me on a bad day some time, and I'll have to cause a big scene. If I had another way around, I sure would give up this bus in a hot minute. Also, next time, make sure ODOT doesn't screw up your funding, like maybe consider having the fund dispersement unit FIRED. Clean house before you go under, and the problem becomes our problem with raised fares!!! read more

100% worst bus service that I've used in the state of Oregon (or any state). The times are never correct on the app, the drivers are TERRIBLE drivers and waste time constantly (in particular, they chit chat with each other and disregard passengers), and the routes are garbage. Public transportation this bad should be free...like it is in Corvallis, which is 1000 times better than RVTD read more

Buses are always late so then I end up missing my next bus. I'm either late for work or school because the bus is usually 5-10 minutes late to my stop. I've been riding since I was 7 with my mom and they have never been this late before. I hate having to leave my house an hour and a half before I need to be somewhere. read more

Several drivers on the Rte.10 Southbound evening route keep arriving 1-2 minutes early to Bear Creek ! I've called in about this several time,yet it continues to happen!RVTD policy is the bus may arrive late,but cannot be earlier than the published times,but they do. After our shift ends,we need that minute or 2 to get to the stop and not have to wait another 30 minutes to go home,especially if cold weather. read more

I arrived at Front Street Station at 6:22. I needed to break change in order to board a bus by 6:30. The change machine that used to be available has been permenantly removed, with no plans to replace it. So I approached the window, only to find the office closed at 6pm. Buses run til 7, office closes at 6, machine to make change, and the buses themselves only take exact change, i.e. if you pay with a $5 note, you don't get $3 change. You get nothing. What. A. Bus #2901 almost ran into us on Hwy 62 Route 60 White City about 3:30 on Friday, Oct 11, 2019. If we hadn't pulled out of his way he would have run into us. The bus was on the shoulder & we had the right of way. That driver needs some training & lessons in courtesy!!! read more

Lots of good things about RVTD -- mostly skillful, considerate drivers, very reasonable fares and the buses go to lots of places -- Medford, Ashland, Talent, Phoenix, Central Point, Jacksonville, White City. Friendly security help keep the Front Street Station a safe, pleasant place to wait for a bus. Only a few negatives -- we need longer hours! And Sunday too! I miss a lot of events in the community because bus hours are limited. I would be happy to pay a higher fare -- even double --if I could go to evening plays at the Shakespeare Festival and other theaters and some of the wonderful library events held on Sundays. Another kudos-- I've seen drivers go out of their way to help people. Hooray for RVTD! read more

So I had a parent teacher conference with my son's first grade teacher that I needed to get to and I was running to get to the bus on time and of course even though I was running up to it and waving my arms frantically for the bus driver to stop he completely ignored me and tried to pull out anyway even though there was another bus stopped directly in front of him and he had to stop halfway off the curb. So I waved by the door and made pleading gestures with my hands but the jerk refused to let me and my six year old on his bus. Needless to say we missed my son's parent teacher conference because of the busdriver's insensitivity. Call me crazy but shouldn't people working with the public actually care about helping people? I will just plan on walking everywhere from now on because who needs that kind of bs in their lives? RVTD sucks. read more
