The service was not good. People that came in well after us got there food before us. Our waitress was definitely overwhelmed and getting clumsy as a result. She knocked a woman's purse off her chair and a glass of water over. She was forgetting things and just seemed overwhelmed. When we finally got our meals they weren't good. I ordered the filet mignon with butterfly shrimp. The shrimp was split open but still had the shell / legs on it. I don't believe the steak was actually a filet and was definitely overcooked. I had ordered potatoes too in lieu of fries and never received them. I asked the waitress about them. She apologized and said they would be right out but I never got them. They were on the bill and I had asked that they be removed. My daughter and boyfriend's meals were just ok. No real flavor. Overall it was disappointing and overpriced for un flavorful food. I would not go back or recommend.

We were seated immediately by a friendly waitress. I got the Tom Collins drink, which was great, and my husband was recommended a really great red wine (I don't recall the name). He got the 4 course dinner (fantastic deal for the money) and I ordered a half rack of ribs. My ribs were very good, but a bit fatty. His dinner was incredible. It started off with one of the best french onion soups I have ever had. It was the perfect appetizer for the cool winter. His main course was filet mignon, which was tender and perfect. Dessert was delicious - apple crumble with ice cream. Loved this place!

The food took forever, so after 45 minutes, the waitress brought over two bowls of "coleslaw" to placate us. When the food finally arrived, over half the orders were wrong in one way or another. The food that was supposed to be hot was nowhere near so. The Poutine was soggy. The fried chicken was burnt black, but we decided to peel the skin off (it SHOULD have been the best part). The meat was dry and had no flavour whatsoever. This place makes Swiss Chalet seem like a 3 Michelin Star establishment. I would steer clear.

(We came to Quebec partially to drink in the culture and speak French, but okay....) Flat beer... I did not finish it (rare event) White wine was much too sweet. Horrible ribs Horrible ribs at a smoke house? Yea Sent back the first order because although the plate was hot the meat was cold inside. Were they microwaved? They came back luke warm 5 minutes later. (This time more moist, like they were boiled a bit, then re-sauced.) There was way too much sauce... And the sauce was aspiring-to be Costco-type-quality... But did not come close, (and I do not believe Costco has good quality.) I eat out a lot. This was unusually bad. So bad that we did not finish even 1/4 of the ribs. Not sure how a smoke house with horrible BBQ is supposed to make it.

They said it closed and that they were better. Well, at least they were confident with the place and their food. The place look really nice with some great theming. But the buffet was generic. Just some normal breakfast items and some special stuff like ham and turkey. It's good, but nothing really to ride home about. Next time, I'll go back to the village to the real crepe place that everyone loved instead of the place that tried to take its former location and glory.

Inside there are booths for more intimate dining, although large parties are also able to be accommodated. The Boursin chaud appetizer was the highlight of my meal, and the drinks menu is adequate for a variety of meal choices. The meal went down quickly after the appetizers, sadly. Water service was slow and then non-existent, empty glasses were not removed, and when the food arrived, it was cooked poorly. Duck dishes were dry and oversalted, the flatbread had raw dough in the center, and the pasta dish was poorly dressed. When dessert arrived, it was tiny, tasted bad, and was not a nice end to the 3 hour meal. So, while there is potential, the staff needs to have adequate numbers to handle the diners for the restaurant to get more stars. But don't give up, try it yourself when it's not a holiday, and come prepared to relax over a long meal with friends and family.

This location has a patio, a bar area with a fireplace, an upstairs area, a takeout counter and a main dining area. Those who are not familiar with St Hubert might not know how good this chain is, but for people living in Quebec or New Brunswick (maybe Ottawa too?), the chicken here is legendary. The hot chicken sandwich is my favourite, and if you get it with dark meat, the flavour is even better. The dark sauce they use is so good. They also are known to have 'Table D'Hôtes', which are all in one meals that include the main dish, desserts and soup, all for one price. They have so many varieties of dishes that it really is worth getting this meal combo. At lunch, the prices are even better, so if you're hungry at that time of day, you can get a really delicious meal for a good price. Another specialty is their Chef's choice lunch meal (le choix du Rotisseur), which is on their take out menu. You either get a leg or breast of chicken with fries, bread, coleslaw, and dipping sauce, and because you don't make the choice, the meal is less expensive than it would normally be. The desserts are worth mentioning because they are delicious. One of the best is the chocolate mousse cake or the sunday, made with hard vanilla ice cream and a choice of either fudge or sugar cream (sucre à la crème) sauce. It's probably the best thing on the menu, so I highly recommend it. The service at this particular location is very good, and the waitresses seem good natured. If I ever go back to Saint Sauveur, for whatever reason, I most likely will stop by the St Hubert restaurant there. Too bad they don't have any locations in Toronto because if they did, I'd eat there all the time. It's part of the culture of Quebec and if you don't know what to order, a good quarter chicken meal with fries is always a safe bet. Bon appétit!

Although the menu was dated as was its execution and that the restaurant lacked finesse - I resisted the urge to go into the kitchen to show them how to do a tomato sauce and baked beans for a hearty and delicious breakfast - no one can claim that the quality of service is anything less than excellent, as is the rest of the hotel service. To prevent me from having to climb a slope with my cane, the hotel manager gave us a more spacious cabin and more beautiful even without altering the agreement. In addition , the 80s retro decor was unimportant when we consider the impeccable cleanliness - no dust or stain anywhere - without forgetting the windowed wall in the cottage which had a gorgeous view of the lake and lying sun while sitting by the fire hearth . It should be mentioned the canary calm and quiet at this resort, we were so relaxed we thought we were getting ill. For the value versus expense, even with the kitchen being a bit outdated, the customer is the winner. I would recommend the place without hesitation.
