I've been wanting to try Roline's since I came across their IG posts and reels during and after the pandemic. On my way to Sacramento, I did not think twice to eat at Roline's for lunch. The ambiance is very welcoming and I love seeing their kitchen and prep room from a distance. There is enough seating for groups and a bar area against the window. Upon arrival, I immediately knew that I want to try their tocino plate. I opted to pair my tocino with steamed white rice. Within the same order, I also added a Classic Halo Halo. I only waited less than 10 minutes for my order to be brought to my seat. Their tocino is heavenly and a chef kiss! It is very authentic and identical to the Kapampangan Tocino (Pindang) and is perfectly marinated and tender. Chef Andre's tagline "wok, piping hot" truly lives up to its name and the quality and taste is above and beyond. Interestingly, Roline's offers variations of Halo Halo: not only with 3 different sizes but it can come with red beans or no beans, and you get to choose the ice cream flavor on top. I chose Buko Pandan Ice Cream on top of my classic Halo Halo. The lady was very accommodating to my request to bring my Halo Halo after I somewhat finish my tocino fix. I find it hella cute that they use fruity pebbles as a flavorful substitute for pinipig. Their Classic Halo Halo is packed with the most authentic ingredients and does not deviate from the traditional essence and flavor. I really like that they don't use too much milk (to prevent it from melting and overflowing). It also matches well with a scoop of Buko Pandan Ice Cream. For sure, I'll be back at Roline's on my next visit to Vacaville and or the Sacramento area! Ang sarap talaga dito!

It's been a few years (way too long) since I've been here. Only came to this area to bring out~of~town family shopping. Was just supposed to be only halo halo, but ended up being a full meal. The food was excellent as usual and reminded me why this place is so good. The sisig was awesome! Just comes in a small skillet, which I can eat all by myself.

Roline's is always consistent. I like the different items that they offer. Food is flavorful and consistent in taste.

I went in with some family for halo halo, and enjoyed what we got. There are a number of different flavors and toppings, and they all work well. If you have a sweet tooth, you can certainly get your fix here. I didn't try any of the savory foods, so I can't comment on those.

Visiting the area and was craving for Filipino food! Went on Yelp and found Roline's. Already planned on coming here but the funny thing is, I follow Chef Andre and watch his cooking videos on IG/TikTok but did not realize that this is the restaurant that his mom owns until his video popped up on Sunday on IG and I put two and two together that I was within the area! Told my husband and my brother who were with me that we are going here! Decoration inside is modern but showcases the Filipino culture which has halo-halo art, some merch, the woven hats & tray (I wanted to take home lol)! Seating is very limited here but not too bad, it was us 3 adults, 1 kid and a toddler, seated at the "bar" area next to the windows! Just know this place is NOT a turu-turu joint. Food is made to order so there is a bit of a wait time but it makes up with the delicious authentic taste of your food and a big plus it comes out freshly warm! Items that we ordered - My brother got the Fried Chicken plate with Garlic Rice. My brother is very particular about chicken especially fried chicken from filipino restaurants and he said that he enjoyed this plate! The crisp on the chicken and the seasoning is perfect! Heck, my daughter is such a picky eater and she enjoyed this chicken too! My husband got: Sinigang Pork (baboy) plate with Garlic Rice. My husband actually ordered an extra garlic rice in which it did not disappoint! He raved about the sabaw of the his sinigang and the garlic rice! He loved the sour taste of the sabaw which what sinigang is! There is a side of tomatoes placed your plate not in the sinigang! I even tasted the sinigang and I loved it. I love that I don't get the after taste if taba from the sabaw. The vegetables were a good ratio with the meat. None was too much or too little! I got: Dinuguan Plate with white steamed rice and a personalized size of sisig. The sisig is BOMB! Legit this personalized size can be an ulam with rice and I'd be fine but I needed sabaw! The crunchiness of the sisig is perfect! This fulfills my palette that seeks texture, the citrus taste and aroma it makes it mouth watering! The diniguan, again the different textures I get of the meat in here and the sabaw it all comes together. Diniguan is my comfort food and this made it feel like I am at home. My brother also ordered dessert: Halo Halo & Leche Flan Halo-Halo has a different take and a different look! My favorite part is they use fruity pebbles for the crunch! It's vibrant and gives that "pop" look! The leche flan, it's delicious and a good end to finish a meal here! From being someone who was raised in San Diego that is surrounded by a huge population of Filipino food, I must say Roline's is on its own level of goodness! Now living in Riverside County where there is not much Filipino food and it's hard to find a good Filipino restaurant. I am glad I came across Roline's, we will definitely be visiting when we are in the area because I want to try the ube halaya, tocino wings and much more! Thank you for mapping out authentic Filipino dishes and fusion dishes which shows that it's not a bad thing to merge generations of recipes along with new recipes! I wish I lived closer to order party trays but this gives a reason to come up and visit!

This place is one of the few and far between Filipino spots in Vacaville. They sell authentic Filipino food as well as fusion dishes. One of my favorite things to get is the tocino wings--the sweet savoriness of the sauce paired with rice tastes so good every time I practically levitate in bliss. Their milkshakes are tasty as well; you choose an ice cream flavor and they blend it into a milkshake. My favorite flavors are pandan and ube. Pandan is pretty popular so it sells out fast! I'd recommend ordering online beforehand, especially if it's a to-go order, because wait times can vary depending if they're understaffed or not.

First things first: DO NOT GO HERE! There are better filipino restaurants elsewhere. Four stars on Yelp, ok we will try it out. Plus if you check in on Yelp, you get a tiny shot glass size of halo halo. We ordered pancit with sinigang and rice with adobo. We asked for the mini halo halo to come after we eat. The guy said ok. Then our food came out first, and instead of pancit we got rice!! So I told her and she took everything back and out again with pancit. Then as we started to eat, the halo halo came out. Like wth?! The halo halo was good but nothing amazing. The pancit tasted old and uncooked, even the sliced cabbages weren't even cooked. The sinigang was NASTY. It was sour and very thick like tomato soup. The adobo was very hard and bland. Actually all the food we had were very bland apart from the sour tomato soup. I don't know what these are but they're not filipino food. They're actually some of the WORST dishes I've ever had.

    B Minus Halo Halo

Halo-Halo at this spot is a premium dessert worth trying for the first time, or if you've had halo-halo before, be ready for a serious upgrade. Carefully mix the ice cream with the rest of the ingredients until you can spoon out a nice bite. The flavor profile is excellent and consistent. We got the B Minus version, which has no beans. Ube ice cream was the ice cream choice, and it is usually part of a traditional recipe. Service is made-to-order so be prepared to wait. Patience will pay off. Ambiance is casual for the dine in experience. If you're getting this item to go, then bring a cooler with ice packs to keep the ice cream from melting. We will try the entrees for another visit.

Always a good time when eating at Rolines! Today, I took my dad for his first time and we ordered Pork Sinigang, Tocino Rice Plate, and Halo Halo. My go-to is typically the Tocino and Halo Halo so of course I ordered that. My dad ordered the Pork Sinigang and mentioned it was a bit sour to his liking. His Pork Sinigang also didn't have as much meat as he wanted. Overall, my Tocino plate was good as usual and of course the Halo Halo was delicious as well!

Rolines is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The staff was friendly, but got our order wrong. We upgraded to pancit, but were served rice. The staff apologized and corrected the issue. We also ordered the free halo halo for checking in on Yelp and asked them to bring the halo halo after our entrees. Unfortunately, they brought everything at once so my halo halo melted before I could finish my entree. I ordered the pork adobe. The portion size was fine, but it was the driest adobe I have ever had and was not flavorful. I will not return, and cannot recommend this place.

I wanted to take my friend and his wife here because she is Filipino and missing the Philippines after leaving for about half a year. I was looking for places which would remind her of home. From the reviews, it seemed Roline's was a great dessert stop that would fit the bill. I only had halo halo once before at a church function. So this was my first in-store halo halo experience. I ordered the Classic with all the traditional fillings in the Teaser size. My friend and his wife ordered one in the Original size. My friend's wife said it was very good and authentic. I'll take her word for it. I just know that all the toppings were very fresh and everything blended well flavor wise. I was supposed to limit my sweets and watch my blood sugar level. But it was just too good to not down most of it. Please don't tell my Primary Care doc I totally surpassed my daily carb allowance. And hey it was just for a day... My friend's wife also said that the display shelves reminded her of the Philippines. I was really happy to hear that. Mission accomplished.

Referred by my coworker so I gave it a try. I ordered their famous halo-halo, uberon, and fried chicken. I was shocked as the person making the meal doesn't look like a filipino to me because I used to see pinay moms cooking or serving in similar businesses. Love the food but not a fan of cereals in the ice cream. Price is a little bit up compared to my regulars. I still recommend this family business.

2 years later and we still stop here every time we're in Vacaville! We order the same things - Lechon kawali, sinigang, lumpia and of course the halo halo.

When they first opened and I saw the name,I knew I had to check them out and as soon as I walked in and saw their goods-I was hooked. This shop is located in the Nut Tree shopping center, kind of by the Merry-Go-Round. So much parking available-though the lot does get busy on weekends as anyone who goes to Nut Tree knows. So this shop is a locally owned business-they only have one location and supporting them is truly the definition of supporting local small business. They make homemade candy. It's chocolate and caramel heaven. They have so much good stuff-chocolate pretzels,chocolate-dipped red vines, chocolate peanut butter cups, caramel apples,chocolate-covered caramel-dipped marshmallows, white chocolate, dark chocolate-it's overwhelming. I make it a point to stop here almost every time I drive through Vacaville to pick up a little something-in fact I'm going to Giants game tonight,I'm most likely going to make a quick stop before the game. It's that good of a shop-they get priority status whenever passing through their town. I feel the prices are still pretty decent as well. They also have a pretty good rewards program one can sign up for in their shop. I like that you can see where they are making the candy in the back of the shop-feels a lot more authentic. They make gift bundles for like graduations and birthdays as well. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this but their candy is delicious-so tasty, chocolate is so rich-you can definitely tell it was made with love and homemade recipes. In closing, I would recommend stopping by this shop if you find yourself at the Nut Tree shopping center and give their yummy candy a try-they are bound to have something you'd enjoy.

After waiting, we checked in with the hostess only to be told that our table had been given away and our name had been removed from the list because she claimed she called us several times. No one in our group heard our name called. What was most frustrating was the lack of effort to help resolve the situation. The hostess was dismissive and seemed uninterested in finding a solution. This was particularly difficult because my 4-year-old niece has autism, and unexpected changes and long waits can be very challenging for her. A little patience, understanding, and compassion would have gone a long way. As longtime customers, we expected better communication and customer service. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed.

The princess birthday cake turned out nearly exactly how we wanted it. The style was elegant and they included a nice, sutle glittery sheen to the cake as well. The cake was moist, not too sweet (just how I like it), and was quite tasty. For the filling, we requested strawberries. Unfortunately, they included very little strawberries for the cake's filling. They did include a ton of fresh whipped cream more so than strawberries, which was disappointing for the amount of money we spent on the cake. Initially the customer service we experienced was pretty good. The staff seemed helpful and knowledgeable, even when we spoke on the phone. On the pick-up day, however, our multi-tiered cake was given to us in a donut box and not an actual cake box. That being said, the donut box was not closed around the cake, exposing it to the elements. My husband asked if they could place the cake in an actual cake box, but the worker said the donut box was all they had and handed it over to him. I'm very grateful for Fantasy Cakes being available to make my daughter's birthday cake on such a short notice.

At a recent family gathering, someone brought pastries from Le Paris in Fairfield, CA. The pastries…read morewere all so oolala gorgeous looking and delicious. The pastries are a pretty large serving size. We cut them, so folks can sample a bit of each. Mmm. Mmm. The ube filled croissant had a light creamy filling with flaky, crisp top layer and soft, fluffy inner layers. I'm not a fan of ube, but I didn't hate this. The fruit tart had a smooth, dense cream custard with a variety of fresh fruit on top. Portuguese egg custard tart had a sweet vanilla custard with caramelized top layer in a flaky puff pastry crust.

we moved to the area not too long ago and saw this place come up as a recommendation. our first…read moretime here, we ordered the adobo sandwich and their biscoff cheesecake croissant. adobo sandwich: 7/10 -- waited somewhere between 10-15 minutes for this to be made. it was fresh and flavorful, however, the sandwich came with a side salad that was DRENCHED in dressing, which made the sandwich super soggy by the time we got home to eat it. biscoff cheesecake croissant: 4/10 -- the croissant was stale and hard. the only thing that saved it was the filling, although it also tasted old/stale. not too much flavor going on. we thought maybe our first time was a one-off situation since we had stopped by on a weekday around 4pm (they close at 6pm). maybe the pastry wasn't as good since we came during eod? so, we decided to give them another try since we had family in town visiting and they wanted to get coffee and treats. this time, we ordered several other items.... ube matcha latte: 6/10 -- matcha quality isn't the best, ube flavor wasn't too noticeable, and the worst part were their ice cups. the lids dont fit properly and kept spilling on all of us every time we try to take a sip. even when we added a straw, the lid kept coming undone and made such a mess strawberry matcha: 5/10 -- same as the ube matcha but the strawberry flavor was more of a let down ube croissant: 6/10 -- the ube cream was good, but what kills it is the actual croissant. the pastry itself tasted stale again, hard texture, and doesn't taste fresh my sister in law got their mango cheesecake, which i got a bite of and give that one a 8/10 -- surprisingly probably the best thing we've tried there. fruits are fresh, not to sweet, and just the right about of mango flavor with the cheesecake filling. coming from fremont, we know that we were spoiled with so many pastry spots out there. maybe our standards were high, but giving this place two chances and both times the croissants tasted stale and hard? disappointing. especially, when they cost between $8-$10 each /:
