Both times I called in advance and to place my order, the first time my order was ready once I got there. The food at that time was very subpar, and made me not want to eat there again. My wife ordered something that was bland and and the chicken was dry. I'm glad we gave this a second try because the couple set that we ordered was so good. From the fried pork cutlet to the spicy rice noodles it was all packed with a lot of flavor. The downside to this visit was that I was told 20 to 25 minutes wait, I ended up waiting closer to 35 minutes. They have a large variety of kimbab rolls (decently portioned) and rice and noodle options. My friend and I ordered the couples set ($19) which includes a roll of kimbab, a bowl of dubboki (spicy rice cake and fish cake), and 3 pieces of pork cutlet. I love the free sides they offer! It was pretty early in the day so they gave us soup, cold pasta salad, and spicy fish cakes. The couples set came out pretty quickly. The pork cutlet was just right - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The kimbab that came with the set was ham and egg and it was pretty solid. The dubboki was tasty and they gave a good amount of rice cake. It wasn't too spicy today. Usually I drink a lot of water to calm down the spicy-ness but it was down to a minimum today. We call in an order for lunch. While my coworkers were familiar with the restaurant and the korean food, it was my first time here. I can't say exactly what we ordered, but it was amazing. (I think it was the special at the end of the menu.) This is the perfect place if you're coming here to share dishes. Great korean food and friendly staff. Rolly is a great spot for affordable Korean food. I love their rolls, which always comes with miso soup and is made fresh to order. I also really like their set menus, which come with pork cutlet, dubokki (spicy rice cake) and kimbap or fried rice. The set changes depending on the one you choose but I particularly like the pork cutlet which comes covered in sauces. The dubokki isn't spicy which is disappointing. If you choose to sit in, they also have a few ban chans (side dishes for the table). Another bonus is that they open really early as well. The cup baps are also a pretty good option. Sorry, I have a love affair with "SPAM" spanning back to my college days, I ate lots of spam during that time. SPAM, S=Supporting, P=Poor, A= Asian, M=Men like myself for generations! We also ordered the "special set" plate, be forewarned! This can feed up to 2 to 3 people easily and worth the $20! It comes with fried rice, pork cutlets and rice cakes smothered in red infused pepper sauce. The spicy soup ramen with dumpling were very good and tasty as well. We also enjoyed the chicken udon soup noodles too. The menu is laid out nicely and they also have pictures of the more popular dishes. The restaurant is attached to a series of other stores and there is a nicely sized parking lot in the rear which is a big plus, street parking with meters are available as well. Stopping in to pick up, I saw a "set" meal go out to a pair of diners and my eyes bugged out! The platter they received was like the size of a large pizza. When the guy gave me my bag, I almost dropped it because it weighed about 20 lbs. We ended up with enough food for 6 people when only 3 were eating. We came here on a Saturday late afternoon/early evening, when it seemed most other appetites must have been gallivanting elsewhere because the place was empty, save two other tables of diners. No complaints here - it made for speedy service and a quiet dining environment that the place seems to be built for (the wood-heavy decor makes it almost seem like a small cafe were it not for the large open bar dominating most of the space). Behind a glass window, you can see the women busily prepping kimbap (Korean rice/veggie/meat rolls) to order, which assures you that small restaurant doesn't mean loss of quality; your food is not sitting under hot lamps or saran-wrapped from this morning as some other kimbap joints might be wont to do. My date and I had eyes bigger than our stomachs, leading us to order the avocado roll (sans egg for my vegan self), the spicy rice cakes with ramen noodles (think terrific trailer trash food for Koreans - you know it's not the best thing to eat, healthwise, but it just screams to be accompanied with shots of soju), and a bowl of cold buckwheat noodles, which we added to our order on a whim because there was a picture poster of it on the wall that looked amazing. We had no problems with the slow food service that other yelpers begrudgingly wrote about. Our food came out quickly; in fact, mere minutes after our order had been placed, our server came by with the banchan (free dishes offered with Korean meals) - a small potato side dish, sliced yellow pickled daikon, and cubes of spicy fermented Korean radish. We also got our own bowls of hot daen-jahng soup, which is made with a Korean soybean paste. It sounds unsavory if you haven't had it before. Since I'd grown up with it, I was awash with nostalgia while sipping with the spoon and then quickly tossing it off to the side to slurp happily at the bowl. The rest of our food came out in pretty quick stages after that - the kimbab arriving at our table first. There was a little misunderstanding and we ended up receiving two rolls instead of the one,with egg mistakenly rolled into one of them. Apologies were made quickly and we ended up getting to keep both (Score! Leftovers for breakfast tomorrow). These were delectable and I unashamedly polished off nearly the whole thing on my own. The spicy rice cakes were exactly standard, though we expressed small wistfulness for more rice cakes than the cabbage filler that seemed to nest throughout the pot. The cold buckwheat noodles tasted just fine, though I would argue the noodles were overcooked to the point of multiple deaths. Authentically, cold noodles should be cooked and then shocked in cold water to stop the residual cooking (texturally, think al-dente with pasta) but it was clear that these had not been treated properly. A plate of hot red sauce is brought for the diner to add at will, but what I expected to taste spicy was shockingly sweet and sour at first taste, and not in a good way. Still, I nommed away hungrily at my share of the noodles without the sauce, sometimes giving them an illicit dip it into the red sauce left over from our spicy rice cakes. My favorite was definitely the rolls, and I was enchanted by the other menu offerings, which included a wide variety of rice balls, noodles, and several other big ticket items that would be fine for the hungrier diner. The prices seem extremely fair and I'd definitely come back to try more. read more

Rolly Kimbab used to be one of my go-to spots for a quick bite, but I feel like over these last 2 years, the quality hasn't been the same. I like to get their cup baps, which consists of a scoop of rice, and a topping of your choice. My favorite is usually the pork cutlet. I don't remember if it's supposed to be hot or cold, but the one I ate recently, the rice was hot and the cutlet was cold and wasn't really crispy. It seemed like they already had the cutlet pre-made, put on the side, and just cut up when someone orders it. I feel like that's not how it should taste. I expect the cutlet to be freshly fried and crispy. As for the kimbabs, I usually get the Crab Salad and they used to LOAD the kimbab where the whole roll was basically just salad. Nowadays, there's more pickled veggies and egg than the actual meat that I ordered. It kinda sucks when the price is going up but the quality is going down. I understand that COVID hit businesses really hard, but I'd be willing to pay more if the quality stayed the same. read more

So good! My favorite thing about this place is the food, the kimbap is incredible! I recommend the spicy squid roll. I also always get the rolls with a sesame leaf, it gives off a wonderful flavor to round out the roll. The portions are huge and I usually make two meals out of one kimbap. My children love the spicy spam rice balls. All the rice balls are super kid friendly and are perfect to eat on a road trip. The thing I like second most about this place is the location. Very disappointed with this place. I ordered from here for the first time off of Door Dash. I ordered the single set and the spicy cakes with ramen. The delivery was quick. There was no issue with that. However, when I received the order, I only got partially what I paid for. The single set was supposed to come with udon, bimbap, mini rice ball and a pork cutlet. I only received the bimbap and my spicy cakes. The single set is $17.50...why did I only receive ONE thing when it was supposed to come with FOUR things? Service is sparse, but that's expected at a place like this. Everyone was super friendly and helpful though. We went on a Sunday and it was pretty packed. It also took awhile to get our food. We ordered a bibimbap, dumpling soup, bulgogi and rice cakes. Everything was good but nothing spectacular. We were surprised at how big the order of rice cakes were. We could've shared that and another dish and we would've been full. We also liked that they gave us some soup and a few banchans to start. The big parking lot in the back is a plus. I come here alllllllll the time because it's so convenient (in terms of location and free parking lot!!!) but also so worth. I always get the couple set (pork cutlet, spicy rice cakes, and kimbap) and order additional rolls of kimbap on the side. I definitely recommend the variety kimbap as it comes with kimchi, tuna, and bulgogi (an amazing combo). When I just want a quick lunch, I'll also just get one of the cup baps cause they're fast and easy to eat. I usually get the bulgogi and kimchi one but I wish they added a fried runny egg instead of an omelette on top. Not a fan if Rolly. Here's why: 1. Soups are bland and flavor is poor. Especially the miso type soup they give before every order. 2. Their noodles suck and are overpriced. Do NOT get their udon. 3. The way they make their kimbabs: Ill give you an example. They overstuff their kimbabs with too much vegetables. A classic spicy tuna should have spicy tuna, yellow radish, and MAYBE some cucumbers. They basicaly take their regular classic vegetable roll and stuff it with spicy tuna. Keep in mind They do this for every special kimbabs. One thing that is good about Rolly is their combos. I order a bulgogi box ($10) and came home to find that I BARELY had any bulgogi... not worth the money to only eat cabbage with a little bit of bulgogi. They used to have a decent amount of bulgogi..
