    Chicken Francese

Owner greeted us at the door as he opened it himself for us. Hostess told me wife she was very pretty. Server was prompt, courteous, and efficient with taking drink orders, then appetizer order, then entre orders. Chicken Francese was amazing. Meat lasagne was amazing. Smoked old fashioned was amazing. Peroni on tap was cold and poured to the brim. Even the bartenders told us goodbye and waved. Great experience!

Highly recommend! Great food, service and ambience! We loved the Anna dish and the one with spicy lemon chicken. We will be going back.

Tried a few items from this place. Over all a solid local Italian restaurant. Service vibration when you walk in could be lifted a bit to create more welcomed experience. Many options are hot and fresh. Ingredients are good quality. Red spaghetti sauce has one note could use more complexity in flavor. Muscles- nice and plump. The sauce is good and should be used as the basic sauce used on other dishes. Tiramisu- creamy, flavorful, light, great taste. Calamari- chewy, good crisp, could be more seasoned. Again... red sauce needs elevation in flavor. Stromboli- stuffed with ingredients not skimpy at all. Dough is nice and thin. Huge portion definitely can be shared. Would definitely order this again. Garlic knots- buttery, soft, flavorful, very tasty. I used the muscle sauce to dip in. Would order this again.

They are u see new ownership and they also have a new menu. We had a group of 10 and everyone raved about the good. Service was great. Please go visit them.

The new manager or owner is phenomenal. Our waitress Mara (pardon if I spelled your name wrong) was on it. She helped me decorate my table. The food and drinks were so good. The prices are fair for an Italian restaurant. Thank you so much to the owner, manager, staff, and cooks.

    AMAZING calamari was sooo good!

This is one of those restaurants that I stumbled on and wished I lived closer to. We drove from Fort Worth to meet a group for dinner. So my adult son and I got there early to beat traffic. We were hoping they had a bar so we could sit and wait. Loved the decor when we walked in and happy to see a bar. We're not big drinkers but one glass of wine and an appetizer was our plan. Well, we met and talked to the nicest bartender. She recommended the calamari and made my son a great drink and got my glass of wine in a jiffy. I'm not normally a big talker out in public, but she was so nice and we talked the entire time until our party arrived. That calamari was absolutely some of the best I've had in along time. It was crispy and had a ton of flavor! I could eat a plate of that just for dinner. We sat down and had the same experience with our waiter. The restaurant got busy very quickly and he was running around but still attentive to us. The table loved our calamari so much they ordered another plate for them. I ordered the shrimp scampi and my son ordered chicken and vegetables. One of my buddies ordered a Stromboli that looked so good, that I almost snuck a bite. My scheme scampi was awesome! The linguine was great and that sauce was very tasty. I didn't try the chicken and vegetables but my son said it was really good. Anna is much too far to drive again from Fort Worth but this place will have no problem staying packed every night with this quality food. Oh....it was very reasonably priced too!

We always have amazing service. My husband always gets the tortellini allá panna but tonight he got a Stromboli. My son always gets spaghetti with meat sauce. Tried the mozzarella sticks for the first time and they were great! I love the chicken Parmesan and the price can't be beat! The rolls were FABULOUS tonight. Children's portion is extremely small so if you have an older child I would order an adult portion.

The charcuterie board was WAY bigger than I expected and honestly big enough to share as a meal next time. I ordered the Sweet Thai Chili Chicken Flatbread and really liked the flavor, but they were definitely generous with the sauce. It made the flatbread a little soggy, even after trying to crisp up the leftovers in the air fryer. Same thing with the hot honey flatbread I ordered to-go for my boyfriend. Everything tasted great, I'd just ask for the sauces on the side next time. Overall, I'd absolutely go back. Great atmosphere, great food, and now I know exactly how I'd order next visit.

Both the Tavern and Tycoon are in Flower Mound, and I have not visited, but I have made stops at both Jane and now Volstead. And I have to say, I wanted to be impressed, and I just wasn't. When I went to Jane, the cocktails were not up to snuff. My visit to Volstead, the cocktail was fantastic but the ambiance and food disappointed. I came into Volstead to check out the happy hour. They have a discount on wine, and half off their signature cocktails and martinis. They make craft cocktails, which were impressive, but only have one bartender. It takes time, but they could use another. I ordered a Volstead Vesper. It is a bold martini. Josh made it well. It was well balanced. Boozy yet balanced. And I love a lemon curl. A garnish can really elevate a cocktail. Five stars for the drink. I will come back and order another one. I also ordered their spicy tuna crispy rice. It was rather a disappointment. The serving size was generous, the crunch on the rice was there, and then it fell short. The texture of the rice was on the mushier side. The tuna was NOT spicy. It had been dressed in something, but it brought absolutely NO flavor or anything to the tuna. There was a wasabi cream and a sauce (maybe eel sauce) that dressed the plate, but the tuna was bland. A little soy, citrus, yuzu, sriracha or SOMETHING to elevate and brighten the tuna would have been EVERYTHING. So it just ended up being bland tuna, on undressed avocado, on fried mushy rice with some tasty sauces. It absolutely was not spicy. And with a little something something it could have been rather tasty. Even with mushy rice. When I walked in and sat down, there was no music playing so you were just hearing conversations bouncing off the walls. After about a half hour someone decided they needed some tunes, but then it was too loud and it was hard to hear the bar tenders. I loved the decor, and again, my cocktail was really rather good. The overall feel just felt kind of sloppy. It could have been awesome, and fell short. They claim to have Southlakes best burger, and maybe that is a better choice than the tuna. I may give it a shot. It got rather popular as I was leaving, the crowd a bit more mature. And maybe that is their bag. They have great reviews and high stars, I just didn't feel it.
