When my flooring supplies finally arrived on a Friday night, ( supplier issue, not related to this installation company) they were able to work me into their schedule on Monday. High quality work. If I could give minus stars I would. This company ruined my house. To be fair Home Depot is part of this nasty equation. From the measurements they did that failed to account for transitions between rooms and could not accept the house would be empty so kept charging for moving nonexistent furniture, to this company, Romanoff, whose installer failed to assess the entire job before starting. He just began and installed 90% of the dining room before realizing the transition between the kitchen and dining area was now off by more than an inch - why??? Because they installed the flooring OVER the old vinyl in one area but ripped out old flooring in the other other... and made no effort to level the two areas (bc the fine print on their contract apparently says they don't have to ???????? ) By not removing the old vinyl they also messed up the floor registers and doors in every room as well - did they fix these problems or even offer??? NO! Requiring more time and expense on our part to put our house back together after they destroyed it. It took days of negotiations between Home Depot and us and then to even get the job finished. They hadn't bothered to order any transition strips at all and in fact didn't have ones to match... They also broke the tile around our fireplace and again the installer made no effort to offer repairs and then balked at paying when we arranged repairs!!! But of course we couldn't get matching tile so we either had to rip out our entire fireplace surround or settle for mis-matching tile - great when you're selling a house!! Not once had this company been upfront or communicated with us about this project - in fact the only phone call was to ask for us to rearrange our schedule so the installer could have a day off !!! Crap job, no apologies for the disaster no reduction in price for the problem argued about repairing their damage... NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN Run from Home Depot and Romanoff in the Willamette Valley - run !!! read more

A simple story with an amazing ending. Just moved into our new house. Old carpet had to go. Went to Home Depot, picked out the new carpet. That's when the story gets better and better. Romanoff Renovations handled all the details and installation. We were notified of the time to expect the installers and got a text when they were on the way. Showed up on time. Workers were polite, professional, got right to work. When the job was completed, they cleaned up after themselves and vacuumed it all. The quality of their work was impressive. They took extra care with every little detail. New carpet is always a treat, but I can honestly say that the work that was done in my house transformed the look of each room, and care taken by the workmen made this experience a joy. read more

Great experience with Romanoff! They keep you very informed about appointments, scheduling, Covid protocols etc. The installers showed up on time and were fantastic! The big box store had sold us the wrong underlayment which would have prevented them laying our new wood floor. After waiting 7 weeks for the materials and install, I was mortified. However the guys went to HD and got the right materials, came back and started on our floor. They did an incredible job, the fitting around rounded corners and odd shapes was precise and they kept up a blistering pace. Even though it was raining they did all of the cutting outside so as not to spread dust in our home. They were well prepared with awnings, tarps etc. and they were spotless, both as they worked and with the cleanup afterwards. The floor looked absolutely spectacular when completed! My husband is a retired contractor and extremely picky. He normally gives workers a long list of do's and don'ts before they are allowed to work. No need this time, he thought this crew was one of the best he had ever experienced in over 45 years in business. We are thrilled with our new floor and very appreciative of the quality of workmanship demonstrated by Romanoff. Thank you! read more

Seriously I don't want to be mean, but this company may be getting too big for their britches, which will be their downfall. Nothing but problems so far. I've heard other complaints as well, and just got out of a bad experience before I get in any deeper-by cancelling my floor install (bought from Home Depot.)
