Vince and team did my mother's monument. It is absolutely beautiful- far exceeding our expectations. They followed our direction and design exactly, to the smallest detail, stretching themselves to go out of their wheelhouse to recreate carving styles we liked from other monument companies. They worked hard to fit in and make work everything we asked for, and included everything in the base price. We made a lot of changes and were very indecisive, which they accommodated without complaint. It was actually done and shipped quicker than estimated, arrived and was installed perfectly, and it is a large stone! Best yet, it was a great value for the money. Today my mama's memorial was set in place and I am ecstatic with this beautiful memorial. Rome Monuments has given her the most exquisite monument, she's so deserved for her undying faith and the beautiful job she did raising us five girls! I am simply overjoyed with the quality work of the sculptor Henry, the carver Bob, but most especially the president Vince Dioguardi that has worked with me tirelessly upon the inception of the idea for this memorial. I did extensive research locally here in Denver, Colorado that expanded onto the Internet to find the best provider in both quality and selection for my mother's memorial. The website is very informative, will layed out, and easy to navigate to find exactly what you are looking for as well as costs and time frames. My initial email (2/19/2019) requesting more information was answered promptly and competently with everything I needed to know, by the president no less, Vince .He has worked with me tirelessly through email, text, and phone calls to ensure our every need was meet, as I have four sisters and between us we are very exacting, demanding, and opinionated! We had initially selected a memorial from the website and we're just short of ordering it when the site adjacent to my mothers had one set that was extremely similar. Vince, well aware after these months and knowing what we were desirous of obtaining and creating for our mother, had another employee Brian stop at the cemetery and send us pictures of another option. Our monument, Rome Monuments created and designed; with personalized sculpting's and customized carvings, with a beautiful poem engraved on the back side and her epitaph that Vince spent many CAD hours playing with font sizes and placement until all five girls were completely satisfied, set on the most beautiful blue pearl granite he arranged for from the quarry is the most exquisite memorial I have seen in hours and hours of research. The patience, empathy, and understanding extended by Vince was well beyond my own and often kept me in check with my sisters! Every response was prompt, there was ongoing efficient communication, and every detail was addressed continuously over a year and a half. I am most appreciative of the integrity and honesty involved in this whole process. I'm so happy that Vince worked to stay within the timeline and budget I was allowed and saw this project through from start to finish with the utmost compassion and consideration! I am absolutely positive my mother could not be prouder of what we have given her, though slightly flushed of its magnificent beauty, yet so well deserved by her. I worked with Vince and his team at Rome Monument on a mausoleum for my mother. I live out of state, but the service and process could not have been smoother. In fact, Vince and his team were able to deliver a beautiful, finished monument much more quickly than local memorial dealers, which meant my mom was able to be put to rest when we were ready. If we had worked with someone else we would have waited weeks longer for the mausoleum. I learned that most memorial dealers buy their monuments wholesale from a handful of national quarries. They really don't have any control of quality or turnaround time. Not so with Rome Monument. On top of the superior speed, service and quality, their mausoleum was thousands of dollars less expensive than what was quoted locally. Very personal experience. Rep who helped was so patient with all the changes and concerns. Then when she was out I had inquired as to timeline of when to expect the monument. With supplies backed up we knew it would be months. Owner even helped to get our monument completed and installed while the rep was out. He called after hours and spent time talking to ensure things were taken care of. Great customer service during a difficult time. I lost my sister a year ago. Our situation is that most of the family, other than my sister, moved away from the Pittsburgh area years ago. When my sister passed, I started looking for a company to create a memorial for her and her husband who predeceased her. I suspect our situation, with family dispersed around the country, is not uncommon. I found that every other company I contacted, except Rome, expected family to travel to Pittsburgh area and sit with their designers in their showroom to work out a design. That simply could not happen. I came across Rome Monuments after a story in the Wall Street Journal mentioned Rock of Ages, a quarry supplying granite monument blanks nation wide. I researched them, and came across Rome Monuments as one of their outlets in the Pittsburgh area. I found them to be refreshingly different than the other companies I contacted in the area, being willing and able to work a design from a distance. We worked by email and phone, exchanging CAD drawings and electronic markups, and arrived at a design that the family, who could review the drawings by email, was happy with. I can't say the process was easy, with emotions involved and the back-and-forth of ideas with family, but Vince provided new sketches, probably a dozen or more, to show how our ideas would work out and suggest options which might look and better. We finalized the design, the selection of the stone style and type of marble, and entered into a contract with Rome in early in early October. They promised installation at the remote rural cemetery north of Pittsburgh by Christmas, weather permitting. I was shocked to get a call from Vince November 8 saying the stone was cut and engraved, foundation poured, and monument installed. The other monument companies I tried to work with in the area said it would be next spring or early summer before they could place a monument. Vince Promised by Christmas, and delivered 6 weeks early! Vince did say that this wasn't typical turnaround, that the schedule worked in our favor in that they had crews pouring other foundations in the area and the specific stone and marble color we wanted was on hand. In any case, they exceeded my expectations on production and installation of my sister's monument. Photos show the design was beautifully executed. They also came in $600 lower than the nearest comparable quote. This was a consideration because the estate was insolvent. I hope never to need their services again, but would certainly rely them to help in the event the need arises. I can wholeheartedly recommend their services for anyone in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. Vince is a wonderful person to work with. read more
