The process of replacing my aging roof was as painless as possible, thanks to Steve and his careful attention to detail. He took the time to inspect, determine the urgency, explain the process, and provide a timely estimate. A new roof is expensive, but the estimate was very competitive, and there was a choice of materials; I opted for the highest grade. The photos & estimate included an assessment of the gutters, which did not need any work. The new roof was completed quickly, within days of signing the contract. Pallets of shingles were delivered & lifted onto the roof the day prior to the scheduled replacement in order to make the work efficient. During the process, the crew worked from 0730 to 3 PM to complete a 3500 sf roof. The crew were organized, careful, and thorough-clearly well-trained. They had to replace one plywood sheet of under-roof (there had been a slow, chronic leak & the wood was soggy). Steve monitored the foreman throughout, and at the end of the day assured that every single bit of refuse was removed-- they even used magnets to find any stray nails! I had one question about a piece of soffit & Steve responded to it immediately. He's very knowledgeable, approachable, and organized. We knew our roof was either in need of repairs or replacement, because we had some leaks over the years. We had previously worked with Steve and Roofer911 and had a great experience. He was very helpful in diagnosing the location and cause of a prior leak, patching it quickly at a very reasonable price. At a certain point, however, with an aging roof, the solution could only be replacement. Steve came out and clearly knows roofs. He gave us a variety of options for our budget and took extra care to come up with a plan for problem areas of past leaks. He even gave extra attention to problem areas of prior leaks and his keen eye identified a misaligned gutter, which they fixed on the spot. Believe the great reviews!!! Where do I start? After dealing with my horrible home owners insurance for almost a month, I had no choice but to come out of my own pocket for a new roof. We had a roof leak for the first time last Friday. My neighbor recommended Roofer 911 and Steve responded within 2hrs. Due to the heavy downpour and high winds, it was not safe to go on the roof. Steve used his thermal scanner to scan the entire house for water leak. While scanning the house, we discovered that the patio door was also leaking and water was coming in from the bottom of the door. Since we are not sure if the roof is still under warranty, Steve advised to check with our roof installer first. He explained that he fix our roof, the other roofer may void our warranty. I recently had a negative experience with Roofer 911 and the "owner". I believe it was one of the most unpleasant experiences that I've ever had with a service provider. I cannot recommend Roofer 911. I hired a competent roofer and am completely happy with that company's work. Apparently, I'm not the only customer who has received poor service from Steve. You'll see in the owner's response that he's attributing someone else's name and information to this yelp review. That's based on nothing more than his own assumptions. If someone writes an objective review that disagrees with Steve, he attacks and bullies them on line, as evidenced by his response. You see Steve, there's nothing "false" about my stated experiences. It's a fact that I had a "negative experience." It's a fact that I cannot recommend your company. It's a fact that I hired a competent roofer, someone other than you. Those aren't "accusations," as you stated. Things would be different if Steve had responded like a competent business owner. He could have said, "I'm sorry that the service didn't meet your expectations or my company's standards. I'll work to correct the situation." Steve doesn't take that approach. Using attacks to defend a company's quality of service only serves to further tarnish the company. Bullying a customer over an objective review never serves to build business. There are many ways that ill will can cost a business sales. For example, the business could be black listed on the private forums and vendor lists in a community. That list could be shared with other communities and posted to their forums, expanding the black list. That certainly wouldn't be good for business and that's only one example of what could happen. When reading online reviews, beware of reviews for companies who compensate people to post glowing, 5 star reviews. Compensated reviews are not objective or trustworthy. read more

I've been on Yelp since 2008 and only written a handful of 1 star reviews. A company has to either be a health hazard, totally unprofessional or unethical for me to give 1 star. If I could give this company -10 stars I would and I don't say that lightly. We had an occasional minor drip into our attic during heavy rain storms (never through our ceiling, drywall or paint) and hired Roofer911 to come out and fix it before it got worse. We paid $1,425 for the repair. I was so happy that was one less thing to worry about. Little did I know what was ahead. That evening (the same day they worked on our roof) it rained and water leaked all night long into our HOUSE! We called Roofer911 immediately and left a frantic message. The next morning we called again and after stressing multiple times that this was an "emergency!!" they finally came out and laid a giant tarp over our roof, but only after 12 straight hours of rain had already dripped into our house and caused damage. They finally fixed their original shoddy work after the rains stopped. So far the fix has held, but I have zero confidence in the quality of work that they do after our horrible experience. The water that leaked into our house stained the ceiling in the foyer and made all the paint pucker and bubble up. Thank goodness I was up late and noticed it before bed or it would have overflowed and ruined the carpeting, too. We stayed up all night putting down towels and buckets and feeling sick with worry about how bad it would get. The next morning, after being up all night and taking the next day off work, we called the owner of Roofer911, Steve Briesemeister, and told him about the interior damage caused by whatever they did to our roof. He said it wasn't their responsibility and that the stain had already been there, which is completely untrue. I was incredulous! SERIOUSLY? Like it totally rained all night long into our house and I took photos and video of water dripping into our house the evening it happened documenting it and you're going to say that damage was already there?! Wow, this guy is a real piece of work. Hopefully our insurance will cover it. Roofer911 won't. You can decide for yourself when you see the photos I posted whether I fabricated this entire ordeal just for fun (and committed insurance fraud as well) just to get my front entryway repainted OR if this company is dishonest and will damage your house they were paid to fix and then refuse to take responsibility for the damage their bad repair job caused. Steve Briesemeister is the owner of Roofer911. I believe he is also the person who posted photos promoting his business on this Yelp listing (see: "Steven B." in pics). If you look at his profile he has only 1 review and it's trashing another business (Luna Flooring) and calling them out as a "scam." But I'm not afraid of bullying. I'm going to write this review because people need to know if they deal with Roofer911 and the company does inferior work which results in damage to your house, they will not take responsibility for it. I wish I'd known. Please look at my photos. They were taken the evening of the "repair." I know sometimes repairs go wrong, but be professional and own it. If only they'd said "We are sorry, we will fix whatever damages to the interior of your house that were caused from the faulty work on your roof" I would have been extremely patient and forgiving, even after the stress of staying up all night and missing work and the hassle of going through the additional repairs that will now be required. Instead they had an attitude of total lack of responsibility. I've seen these shows like 20/20 and Dateline NBC and know companies like this exist, but I never thought I would be dealing with a situation like this where I needed something fixed but incurred damage instead. Incompetence is bad enough, but I have a special loathing for dishonesty and lack of ethics in business dealings. It's just not right. It's not right. To borrow a quote from the review "Steven B." wrote on Yelp about another company, "decide for yourself, if this is the company you would like to work in your home???" TL;DR Roofer911 didn't do a good job, caused damage to my home, won't pay to fix it. UPDATE: Just got the estimate to repair the room that leaked due to Roofer911's ineptitude and with new paint, insulation and drywall it will cost around $1,700. It's going to cost more to repair the damage that Roofer 911 did than the initial repair cost. Using his infrared moisture tool, he scanned the entire area to verify the leak and then if there were any other leaks. Went outside to look at the roof and spotted the problem. Sent over an estimate via email, signed the work auth via secure pdf, and scheduled his crew to fix the issue that day. It rained again yesterday and no more leaky roof! If I could rate them zero stars, I would. We utilized Roofer911 last summer for repairs, and subsequently water started leaking in the same spot as the original repairs. Ironically the water leak restarted a handful of days after their 6 month workmanship warranty expired. We contacted them to come back out. They said they'd come on a Thursday or Friday but never showed or never called. We followed up on a Monday to be told it 'slipped thru the cracks.' Despite it taking us calling/emailing several times before anyone showing up, we still wanted their assessment and planned on a 9am appointment the next day. At 7am Roofer911 showed up and what transpired was the poorest professionalism I've seen out of a company in this area. After waking us up 2 hours before our appointment, I ran down to answer the door to give my husband time to dress. Roofer911 commented that I seemed upset to which I relayed we thought our appointment was at 9 and my 3 kids were asleep plus I thought he was coming last Thursday/Friday. The Roofer911 guy then responded with "I can tell this won't go well." And he turned around and left slamming my front door in my face. If you want to be treated professionally and like your time matters, too, then I don't recommend Roofer911. Besides the disrespectful behavior, there's a lack of follow through and workmanship that doesn't last. read more

As this is a rental and I live in California, Steve was able to keep my up to speed on the work being done via phone and sent me pictures of the work. I am a former home remodel and repair business owner and most things I will do on my own. However climbing up a 3 story house to the roof is not one of them. About 3 years ago I had some shingles blow off and found Steve from Roofer911 doing a google search. I'm leery about filling in forms on websites because I've had bad experiences before. Not this time. Within 5 minutes of clicking send Steve called to tell me he'd swing by and look the roof the next morning. He came by (I wasn't home) and I received an estimate with pictures over email. This guy is as crooked as a used car salesman. He talks a good intital game as the 1st review but you better hope you don't have any problems with thier work. if so, he will not honor his warranty. There are several other bad reviews of his company on yahoo. On callback for repairs, he would dodge my calls, not show up for scheduled appointment, and give lame excuses to justify not fixing his mistakes. The funny thing is his company is under 2 names. I accidentally called his other company looking for a roofer to fix his problem. Again, he was quick to return my call for he thought it was a new job. He even left a message on my machine stating that my problem is due to the shoddy work from the previous roofer. Very hilarious! I saved the message, sent it to him as he went on to tell me that I should rent vs own my house if I am worried about my roof. What a tool bag. After a really bad wind/rain storm, the ceiling in my in-law suite began to leak. I called Roofer 911 and spoke to Steve on a late Friday afternoon and he scheduled me right away for Monday morning. After looking at the roof, and using his trusty laser, he was able to inform us that 1) the leak is an easy fix (caulking) that we could do ourselves, and 2) there's been a leak for awhile because the laser he uses detects moisture in the ceiling. Plus, he informed us that we are missing some insulation in the ceiling too. Not surprised that our contractor that built the addition made this mistake. No wonder my daughter always complains about how cold her room is in the wintertime! Steve saved us money by telling us that we could fix the roof ourselves, and we will follow up with a general contractor to fix the drywall and add insulation where needed!
