The person that answered the phone took my number and address and told me an estimator would call me back. It has rained almost 4" since then and still no call from Nixon Roofing. I bought a ladder and roof sealant and fixed it myself. When I do need a new roof someday, they'll be number one on my do not call list.

I have to assume they are busy and don't have time for repair work. Ok, that's fine but you could take 30 seconds to give me a call and let me know that you can't get to me right now. My theory is if they don't take time to call you when you're trying to give them business then I doubt they'd give you the time of day if you had a problem. I doubt I'll ever use them.

Craig came to our home to meet with our insurance appraiser (he even pointed out an error that the appraiser had made) and then brought in his crew to repair the damage, not just to our roof (composite shingles and metal) but also to gutters and downspouts. He also put us in touch with repairmen for window screens and glazing and cedar fences. All of his various crew members (we had as many as 15 on our roof at one time) are excellent roofers. Two of them even made metal panels out at our curb for our standing seam porch roof. Craig ordered the color of roof shingles we wanted and searched as far east as San Antonio until he found them. His crews cleaned our gutters when the roof was completed and used a magnet to find any lost nails. Roofing our house was difficult because of the steep dormer windows, steep drop-off of the land on the south and west sides, and eight small "cut-outs." His crews worked from 7:45 to 5:00, rarely taking a break. Craig's business is local, in the next county--not out of state--so we are certain he will come back to make any adjustments.
