Modular one sectional review. Buy cheap, buy twice! Major design flaws. We bought a Modular One Sofa with 8 pieces. It's supposed to be the affordable rival to LoveSac. It's more like the cheap version of LoveSac. The connectors are poorly designed male/female type plastic that connect on the bottom of the pieces vs LoveSac which has metal connectors shaped like a U that grabs them together at chair level. Theyre constantly coming apart snd don't hold the pieces together. We had a tech come out for service and although everything looked nice and snug when he left, it just took normal use for them to get unhooked again. You can't sit near the crack or you'll fall in and push them apart. The connectors screw into holes on the underneath side of each piece and the holes aren't close enough to the edge, so when you do connect the pieces, you still have gaps between each piece. If you get the Bluetooth compatible consoles, and use one at the end of the sectional, there's nothing holding it together towards the top/seating area, so it can easily get disconnected and flip over. There's no in home trial and no refunds Buyers beware!! read more

When RTG tells you customer service is their number one priority they are straight up lying to you. We ordered a dining set in August, when it arrived it had a damaged chair. We were told they were back ordered until October, however, we did not receive the "good chair" until today, November 14. The new chair also arrived damaged. We were told we could not get a new chair until January. Based on the previous experience that probably translates to February or March, which we feel is entirely unacceptable for goods purchased in August. When asking to speak to a supervisor we did not immediately get one, we were told her resolution would be the same. With insistence we were finally able to speak with the supervisor, I believe her name was Kenieka(?) or something similar. She offered to allow us to choose something else, which was problematic since this was the only item we liked and had already purchased complementary items for the set. When we asked to speak with her supervisor she said she refused to escalate the complaint because it would waste their time since their solution would remain the same. I pointed out my complaint could be about her and I wanted to speak with her supervisor. After consuming a lot of time and frustration with "RTG customer service" where they state customer satisfaction is their number one priority I simply hung up. My suggestion would be to simply avoid shopping at RTG because customer satisfaction is their absolute last concern and certainly not on their list of priorities. read more

I received a rebate certificate from Rooms to Go and called the 1-800 number. I was told to take my letter to Gulfport Rooms to Go and claim my $200 for my promotional T V. This was from 2012 and the manager said what did I want him to do? I explained the 800!number told me to take the letter to the store. I spent over $10,000 in 2012 and this was a promotion I never received and the letter said I had 30 days to claim. If not, the state receives the credit. I will never purchase from Rooms to Go again. Once I paid for all the furniture, they "forget" you. No follow up about your purchase and the furniture doesn't last. There are plenty of other furniture stores offering 0% for 5 years. The manager said he will get back with me after he told me to call the 800 number again....I said this is a Bait and Switch and he then looked in the computer and said someone will get ahold of me and this is not a bait and switch. Tracey Wolfe lied to my husband and my face numerous times, regarding not only important things, but simple lies that weren't needed (like that RTG "just got in this brand new Casper mattress, top of the line, 2 weeks ago" as I said "umm, no - this was here 2 MONTHS ago, when we originally purchased our items". She was embarassed and caught. RTG also delivered a king-size mattress to us that did not fit our king size bed suit we bought from them. When I finally got someone to talk to me (after being hung up on twice, berated by a lady who answered the phone, and lied to of course) they approved to bring me a new mattress, same brand and size, which was great. Only to have that one be the same length (too small) AND it was damaged. Jim Adray the manager, came to my husband and I when we went in to discuss the issue. He (at first) was SO nice and helpful. Demanded I send him the picture of said mattress gap, so he could "send this up the chain right now", I asked for his email, he said "no, text it to me, here is my cell number", to which I did. He acted flabbergasted that it was such a size discrepancy. Said he'd do anything to fix their mistakes. (He then told me not to text him, it was inappropriate since that was his personal cell phone... well then why did you give it to me? Oh right, it was convenient for you to look good in the moment, but when i ask for help, you say don't use the number = hypocrite!). Only for him to come up with the epic fix of "ok, you can pick out a more expensive mattress and pay us more money". No. Unacceptable. When I asked to switch mattress with much cheaper one and they'd just credit my finance bill. He said absolutely not. So we are stuck with a mattress that shows 5 inches down into our storage drawers below. The customer service was a joke. But boy they will do anything they can to make that sell for their commission. We have now started a dispute to get the mattress charges removed from the finance company. Now RTG can be on the hook for almost $2000. read more

As this will be our retirement home, it fits the bill for us. Inna Sokolova was the associate who took us around and she was awesome. Ordered a sectional and had it scheduled for delivery, it was annotated to be delivered to a military base. I missed the one phone call and called back in less than 10 minutes. They had already skipped my house in the delivery order. No attempt to deliver there after. Tried calling customer service and texting/calling the drivers. One of the customer service reps hung up on me after I returned the attitude received. They then could not re-schedule in the next 3-4 days. Made My order online and through this store. Very Happy with Product but the delivery assembly take away did not happen as we had discussed. I had purchased from Ed Zouhdi. Nothing happened the way it should have. I am not mad about the bed It is probably fine. I was told no fewer than 16 times that the old bed mattress and frame would be taken away by assembly people. I asked it to be noted on the order and it was. Ed called the store manager and was told it would happen no problem. This was a big part of this purchase for me to have the old stuff removed. I am not able to dispose of it. Bed came and delivery people were mad because the old bed was there. They smashed it up and left it in the bedroom. The new bed looks great first picture. but the old bed is still there second and third picture.. I called the store and asked them to make it right. They said we will give you back a $100. but we are not taking the old bed. I said I want what I was sold and told. A manager said sorry for the confusion. I don't see any confusion just flat out lies. It's on the order to remove the old. It was suggested to me by a manager to call a trash removal service and have this removed. What has happened to my word is my bond? Not at this store. They tell you whatever you want to hear and then do whatever they want. There must be 50 places I could have purchased through. And next time I will use somewhere else. I have 4 more bedrooms to re-do but I wont be calling these lying people to do them. If I could leave ZERO stars I would. While this is a reflection of the management at this specific location- it is mostly rooms to go corporate policies and general procedures period. I will spare y'all my saga story and just say this- be DAMN SURE whatever you purchase is EXACTLY what you want as they have ZERO return policy (and most places that have a no return policy make sure to tell you this verbally- this place does not) and even there "re-select" policy is touch and go and you have to call customer service to even approve it then get to the store to be told something different than what customer service told you. There is SHIT communication between their corporate office and the store and frankly- once the store gets their money they don't give a shit about you. Your just a number on a wall and commissions they've already paid and they know they have you by the balls. I spent almost 10k w them and got handled like hot dog poop. Before i realized their policy I even referred two people to them and both of them spend over 1500. I take my own responsibility of not reading through their contract bc I STUPIDLY trusted my sales associate- and even working retail for over a decade i should have known better to not beleive anythign they say verbally- MAKE SURE EVERYTHING THEY PROMISE IS YOU IS WRITTEN DOWN ON PAPERWORK!! Even when they say they got your back- they don't. They also don't hold up warranties by the manufacturers they sell. "They have their own rules" which I think is completely ridiculous. This will be long (sorry). Went the Gulfport, MS store to take advantage of the holiday furniture sale and was able to get Frank Selby as my salesperson. He told me that he was finishing up with another customer and would be with me shortly, which I thought must be 30 minutes or so. To my surprise he was with me in less than 5 minutes and gave me his undivided attention. Waiting for Frank was one of the best choices I've made. He has, as my grandparents used to say, "the patience of a saint". I shared with him the 2 bedrooms (Master and 1 guest room) that I was looking to replace. He graced me with more than 30 minutes of his dedicated time and never showed frustration with the 50 or so questions I had. Frank also listened carefully and showed a true understanding of the type and size of sets I was interested in. In addition, there were several sets that I walked back and forth from, the whole time constantly apologizing for the amount of his time that I was utilizing but he continually told me that no apology was needed because it was important that I would be confident that I had made the correct decisions. His ability to understand what I was truly looking for in a specific price point and style was very refreshing, even if that meant not getting any of the significantly higher priced sets. As I explained my vision, he even pulled up some sets online to show me that weren't in the store. He then got a measuring tape to help me understand the heights of the bed based on various foundation options to go with each type of mattress. With that he helped me determine the type of mattress that would help the best for specific medical conditions that I have. While I was there, I saw a beautiful TV stand with fireplace and decided that I'd love that as well but wasn't sure it would match the Master bed set I'd chosen. Rather than just go for the sale on that he advised that it wouldn't be a good color match for the bedroom set, then pulled one of the drawers of the dresser to bring next to the fireplace so I could have a better visual. He was correct that it wasn't a good match then helped me to think through my existing furniture and planned layouts with the new sets to determine whether I could use it anywhere else, which I realized I could. To date I have the tv stand/fireplace as well the guest bedroom set delivered and was so shocked at how much of an incredibly beautiful impact the pieces made that I had to call him and tell him how stunning they were in the rooms and thank him again. If you go to the RTG store in Gulfport, I'd advise that you ask for Frank to insure that your specific needs are met and that you are shown several options within your budget. And that you will receive service with the patience you need to ensure you will be completely happy! read more

We said we would never use rooms to go again but we did. And regret it big time. Any time you call customer care, it's a forever wait time. We had 2 bed frames (both adjustable) and 2 mattresses being delivered. When the idiot was putting the bed frame together, he decided to try and screw the leg on the wrong way cause it to strip out. So that had to naturally be replaced. The other bed frame, he was trying to program the remote and couldn't figure it out. So he said the motor was broken. Well after they left, we called rooms to go to explain what happened and had to set up another delivery. Nobody would call us back for 3 days. I finally decided to give them a call myself. I was able to set up a delivery date for the following week. So I take off of work that day to stay home and wait once again for something to be delivered. Delivery truck is 3 houses away from me on delivery day. My neighbor had shingles being delivered at the same time. The rooms to go driver backs up so my neighbors delivery guys can back up and leave. Well rooms to go driver decides to not come back down the street and leaves at the same time! Now I am fighting with rooms to go as my delivery was marked finished on the tracker. I am now still waiting for the driver to come back and was told they can come back anywhere up until 10pm. I'm sorry, but they should have never left like they did. I stood outside and watched the whole thing. In less than 5 mins, the truck was 3 houses down and then gone. Once they left, dispatch called me, but I was already on the phone waiting for customer service to pick up and was not going to lose my spot in line to answer a phone call from Florida when I live in Mississippi. Last time, about a year ago, we ordered a bedroom set and had it delivered to the house, the guy didn't even put handles on the furniture. They literally dropped it in the room and left. I will NEVER ordered through rooms to go ever again! Ashley furniture will take out the middle man. We should have learned from the last 2 rooms to go purchases. Went in to look for a couch, find one and wanted to order it. The salesperson that was helping us told us that the sectional that we chose would have to be ordered on two different dates if we were still interesting in getting it. We looked at different furniture stores as well but my fiance and I were set on getting this couch so we agreed to receiving the couch on two seperate dates. The sales person was very friendly and helpful. We had no troubles with her. The first part of the couch came about a week later and when it was delivered it was the wrong couch. It wasn't even a part of a sectional. It was a sofa, with two cushion seats instead of three and there was an arm on both sides, which it shouldn't have had if it was going to a sectional. We went back to the furniture store and explained to the salesperson and customer service that we received the wrong couch. It wasn't the salespersons fault, she ordered the right one, it was strictly the warehouses/delivery processes fault. Customer service wasn't very friendly and we explained to them that we needed the first part of the sectional to be delivered within the next few days because we were going out of town. We went back and forth on multiple days that it could be delivered and they didn't want to take into consideration that the sectional couldn't be delivered on dates that we weren't going to be home because no one would be there to receive the couch. We finally got in order for the couch to be delivered the next day and it came, correctly this time. About two weeks later we received the second part of our sectional and it was the correct piece but the delivery men came in and made a complete mess. They knocked over valuable items that were sitting on our entertainment center and didn't bother to pick them up nor apologize. I found them on the floor after they had already left. Moral of the story is that we will not be shopping with Rooms to Go again. Very unprofessional warehouse/delivery workers. read more

I would not recommend rooms to go to anyone. They do not coordinate from salesfloor to delivery. I would not recommend this business to anyone. They dont keep commitments made nor do they keep any records of their sales accurately. I bought a kingsize mattress set and a waterproof sack to protect it from any damage. My spouse and I are disabled and were advised by store personnel that upon delivery the sack would be put on the mattress and that they would dispose of the old mattress. They did not do either and to this day we have attempted to put the bedsack on the mattress to no avail and now the mattress is ruined by a grandchild that was being potty trained. I will NEVER do business with this store again! We have good experiences with previous R2G stores which sent us here when we needed some new furniture items. First off, we live an hour away so they only deliver one day a week. Ok, I can deal with that. However, after paying for our items and not hearing anything for 2 weeks, we gave the store a call. The manager stayed that we haven't been contacted yet because the bed we purchased was out of stock until the end of the month! WHAT!?! How do you sell something that you don't have and why were we not notified when we purchased it? Then he proceeded to say that we needed to purchase a box spring for the mattress when the salesperson clearly stated to us that a box spring was not needed for this particular bed. Don't you think we would have ordered a box spring if we were told we needed one to begin with?? Oh, and we are also told we could not get a refund but instead would have to use the money that was paid for the order towards something else in the store! We go back to finish paying for it and was told that it "maybe" discontinued. She received a call from them later on that night telling her that the sofa was discontinued and that we could come back and look for another sofa. The delivery window is a JOKE, since the actual window is anytime from 7am to 10pm. I was told my delivery would be here from 1 to 5 pm, I didn't get it until 9:30pm.
