After spending over $2,000 on furniture, you'd expect a smooth, professional delivery--especially with plenty of space to work with. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience with Rooms To Go. Before they arrived, I moved my large, rare, and expensive plants out of the way to make things easier. Somehow, they still managed to bend leaves on two plants and break another. That alone was frustrating. But it didn't stop there. They knocked over a cup in my kitchen--completely separate from the living room--spilling water everywhere. It soaked through an entire roll of paper towels and even got onto the arm of the sofa. The worst part? They didn't say a word. I discovered it after they had already left. To top it off, we purchased a $500 area rug with a rug pad. The delivery person laid it down, realized the pad was larger than the rug, and instead of fixing it, told me to cut it myself. My final update: the third technician came out, didn't even touch the couch, said it seemed like it was assembled to manufactures specifications and it could not be fixed. They once again offered me the opportunity to go back to the store, pay $250, and swap it out for something else. Instead, I called a handyman to come look at it and he was able to fix it less than an hour! Everything now lines up the way it should. I'm telling you, you need to avoid Rooms To Go at all costs! Their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with and they kept trying to tell me that it was fixed every time a technician came out. I can't imagine all three technicians told them that it was fixed so it has to be customer service that's not telling the truth! Never again! read more

Well, the furniture was pretty nice. There was some nice choices. The prices are more reasonable than other places like Star, which was way overpriced. I purchased a white full size bed frame with bookcase style headboard and twin size trundle bed for under neath the bed. The headboard was cracked and two places. The trundle bed bottom was broken and the option to replace it wouldn't be available for 3-4 weeks which we are still waiting for since our delivery has now been rescheduled twice. I understand Rooms To Go uses third party contractors to deliver this products but it is still there responsibility to make sure the quality of the product is in great condition. They make you believe your getting a "good deal" "discount" when sale you products from the showroom floor. You aren't saving any money. I even ordered to pick up my furniture so I didn't have to pay $200 for delivery but that wasn't an option. The full size bed we had to go buy plywood to put underneath because the cheap 3 wood slated weren't enough and causing my daughter's $1200 purple mattress to start having sink holes in the mattress from not having enough support. Full size bed frame that is damaged shouldn't have cost me $799.99 Dresser was another $799.99 Twin trundle $399.99 =$1999.97 Plus express delivery and assembling was another $180 and tax $180. Finally total $2359.79 I will not recommend buying furniture from here. Unless you plan to sand and repaint your furniture you buy. Be aware that sheet sets are not returnable ! Upon purchasing a new $8000 king size matress from RTG we also purchased two sets of king size fitted sheets and pillow cases from them at $300 each. These sheets were 13" wider than the mattress so obviously weren't "fitted" for this mattress even though we were told by the sales person they would fit. RTG's policy is no returns on sheets for any reason (which we didn't know at the time) and even after engaging their support people over a few weeks (they would often not respond for a week at a time) we're stuck with these sheets which my wife is now cutting down and re-sewing to the correct size. RTG seems to be pretty much a front for third party products they offer which is true of virtually all stores, but RTG has no obligations to the buyer beyond what the original supplier of the product has. This is not like most other stores which actually stand behind their products, especially when their own sales person makes a mistake. read more

We ordered a new living room suite from Rooms To Go in Round Rock. After two horrible experiences at Living Spaces, we decided to try RTG. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase of our new sofa, loveseat, ottoman, and end tables. There were several hitches and disappointments, but the issues were resolved. We were told it would take several deliveries over the course of six weeks to get our entire living room suite. Our salesperson gave us the choice of "at-door" delivery for $39. She said the furniture would be brought to the door and left "at the door" in the packaging and we'd have to bring it inside the house. The other option was $179 which includes placing the furniture inside the home and disposal of the packaging material. We cheaped out at chose "at-door" delivery. On the day of delivery, we cleared off our large porch area so the items could be unloaded "at the door." The delivery people INSISTED on bringing the furniture inside the house "so they could get a photo." We weren't ready for this and had no room for it, so we had to scramble and step over everything while we shifted gears to accommodate for the misinformation. OK, we dealt with it but I was not happy since we'd planned for what we were told would happen. Seems the delivery people and the salespeople need to communicate what is expected for this reason. After unpacking everything and setting up, we discovered one end table was badly damaged, and our loveseat had no armrest! They brought the wrong loveseat! We called RTG's "Customer Care" and arranged for a new table and the proper loveseat. Two weeks later, the new table came but it was also damaged, so we started this horrible process all over. The new loveseat was the correct model this time, so one thing went right. Eventually, weeks later, we got a table that wasn't damaged, so it finally worked out. Compared to other awful "customer care" departments, RTG was pretty good. No long hold times or foreign call centers which was a nice surprise. In the interim, while still awaiting our ottoman to be delivered, we went back and bought a large rug. It was delivered via UPS two weeks later. The quality of this rug was very disappointing. It is very thin, the ends roll up, and it seems so cheap. It does not seem to be of the same quality as the sample rug inside the store. No refunds are allowed, so we are stuck. The rug is not of good quality, but the furniture is very comfortable and looks really nice. So far, so good. Finally, the ottoman arrived, and we love it! It even has wheels, which is cool, since it is huge. There were many issues, but overall, I am satisfied. We will see how well the furniture holds up as time passes, so I hope the quality is better than that stupid rug! We bought the warranty, so I hope they won't screw us if we ever need to use it! Our salesperson was Robin, who was a pleasure to work with! She was the best part about the experience, but the furniture is nice too, just the hassles created a sour taste and cast a cloud over what we hoped would be a positive experience. The rug is crap. With a name like this I almost expect to be able to phone in my order, walk in, pick up my room to go and go home to enjoy... maybe there is a drive through window? There will be people out helping the line move along with their iPads taking orders and telling you which vehicle to follow, "sir follow the red Buick and they will have your sofa, tables, and lazy boy at the window..." Nope... not like that at all. Much more like your typical large space furniture store. Vignettes filled with stuff so you can picture it in your home, but watch the signs... most everything we looked at was very deceiving!! The pricing they showed was almost always for the dumbed down version and not for what was right in front of us! A bunk bed set was signed at $700 but that was not for the full over full with dresser and desk. It was for a twin over twin no dresser no desk. (The wood ladder was even separate and was $75!!!) What was shown was almost $1500. Again and again we found this to be the case... the cheapest set prices hung on the highest end looks... you have to look at the options part to get the real pricing for what you are looking at! Then there is the case of quality... a lot of this so called fashion furniture was high end priced but was cheap end made. Fake wood, press board, light weight junk, made to look nice but when inspected you know it is just not going to stand up to your 10 year and 5 year old for more then a year. One nice thing is there wAs no pressure from any sales person. They were there and ready to help but they were not hovering... they were not latched at our hip, they were not pressuring us to buy! So glad some place gets that part!! Pressure me and all you'll do is pressure me into leaving quickly! At the end of our browsing all I walked away with was a feeling of just having been through a long day of deceit and over priced garage sale furniture shopping. NO ONE AT THIS STORE CAN HELP YOU. They know how to take your money, but can't deliver the furniture. We had a couch ordered from Rooms to go in January. It was improperly delivered. The zipper on our couch was missing on delivery. The delivery guys spoke to the store and cut a ticket. NOTHNG HAPPENED for a month and a half. We ordered a replacement, which was also delivered improperly (they delivered the wrong end of the couch). In March. We went to the store multiple times, all they did was create a new ticket. April 5th. The existing ticket has not been addressed. When you call the customer support line, they put you on hold for hours. They give you a call back option but never call you back. When you try automated service, they can't look up your order with the info provided at the store. To look up your order, they ask you for a social security number. (What?!?!?) The online customer chat does the following( shown in the picture). When you call the show room, they rudely tell you to call customer service. And that they don't have a return policy. Rooms to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE After losing a lot of furniture to Winter Storm Uri, we chose RTG to replace it. We spent thousands on a mattress, bedroom set, and dining set. Delivery times were long, but we accepted that due to the pandemic. What we didn't expect was the absolute saga of headaches. The mattress - demo model had an adjustable base. An adjustable base was not included in the very inflated price, which we were NOT told. So now we have a bed that lies flat unless we want to shell out another $1500. The dining set - chairs had dings on the corners upon delivery. Took weeks for a technician to come out and paint the scratches. The bedroom set - The bedroom set came and low and behold, one of the bedposts was BIFURCATED due to improper handling in the warehouse. Looks like the box was impaled by a forklift and they loaded it onto the truck anyway. Customer service was understanding but useless, so we walked into the store with the broken shard. They were very dismissive but eventually called for a manager when we asked if they could at least deliver the replacement soonest possible rather than scheduling out so far. Manager walks up and the guy behind the counter says, "they want the replacement sooner, but we can't do that right?" Right in front of us, warning the manager not to even try to help. Manager said he'd "see what he could do" but their subsidiary who does the manufacturing and warehouse would have none of it. Weeks go by, and the replacement comes today. NOW they're saying they can't assemble the bedframe because they don't have hardware included. Who the [expletive deleted] [expletive deleted] delivers a frame with no bolts or screws? So now we have to wait, yet again, for this joke of a store to get its act together and send us the parts so we can do it ourselves because I'll eat a shoe before I trust them to do their job and let them back in the house. I get that there's a pandemic and a wood shortage and we have tried to be very patient, reasonable, and agreeable. But this store and all its partners are completely unreliable, even after we spent thousands with the expectation of a modicum of professionalism. Whatever you do, shop somewhere else. I hear STAR furniture is nice. UPDATE: Rooms To Go sent the hardware. We began building the bed ourselves, only to realize they sent us the wrong screws. It's the final nail (or screw, if you will) in the coffin of this ridiculous experience. If there was any uncertainty that they're entirely incompetent, that's now been remedied. We bought two recliners at rooms to go in Round Rock. We first were looking at a loveseat that reclined and delivery would've been $89. We decided to buy two recliners and delivery went up to $125. Spoke to the manager to see if I could get a discount on memorial weekend since it was a memorial sale, tried to get the delivery fee reduced and everything I could to get some form of a discount. Both the sales person, the sales manager, and the store manager said they could do nothing and they were not authorized to do anything. If you're in management and you have no control of anything what the hell are you even doing there. I don't know about the quality of the furniture they haven't delivered it but we went ahead and bought it for our garage where I keep my motorcycle wasn't like it was that important one way or the other but I've never in my life seen employees that I had no authority to do anything. So will get the product delivered, we didn't get a discount, and life goes on but it would be so sad to have to work at a company that you would rather see a customer walk out the door and to find someway to get them to make the purchase. I think this has more to do with what a sad job that you have to go in with those kind of rules day in and day out. Laughable that they want to charge you $$ for pickup of anything because it would be shipped from the warehouse to the RR store but will ship to your house from the same warehouse for free! The difference in shipping being about 3 weeks delay if shipped to home. UPDATE ON OUR LATEST DELIVERY!! We have now had two deliveries to our home in Round Rock (for an online order) on the same item (coffee table) and both times the coffee tables have arrived damaged!!! This second delivery completed just minutes ago, they delivered clearly a floor model or an already returned item since it was delivered in a MOVING BLANKET and not even in a box!!!! The only reason we agreed to do home delivery was because the Round Rock store, the Austin store, and Cedar Park stores all charge $50 to do a store pickup!!! This is exactly why we didn't want to do home delivery, because you can never check the product before accepting it, then you have to wait forever to do a return / exchange pickup.
