Most of the employees are fine, and I particularly appreciate the senior fellow who's been there since 2023. However there is one younger white guy with tattoos who has been there since the start of recreational cannabis in MO, and for the life of me I don't know why. Every time I visit this store and he greets me, it is the most monotone and disaffected I've ever heard another human being sound. I'm not exaggerating. The emptiness in his voice and the absence of light behind his eyes haunts me long after I leave the store. Clearly he's an asset to the team, but he has nuked my desire to come here. Now that they have another nearby competitor besides Greenlight (equally horrific company) I don't imagine myself ever going here again. I've become convinced this guy personally hates me. Is it because his only character judgment of me is based on the fact I buy mostly pre rolls and thus am lowering store sales averages? I do the same at all the dispensaries I frequent and I don't expect people to be overly gracious to me, because I understand how sales metrics work; I do, however, expect that a young man on staff isn't going to talk to me like a hormonal teenage girl talks to her dad after he tells her she can't go to a party. Overall the cannabis industry is populated by people who, naturally, consume it heavily, and thus tend to be emotionally immature and strange.
