They also host a great poetry series, and writing workshops for both high school and adults. They have a great space where people can come and hone their skills, and have listeners offer their honest and helpful critiques. They have helped people publish locally and nationally, and really believe in what they are doing. The staff is very eloquent and passionate about the organization and really push for great writing and great programs. I look forward to Babel every year and am thankful I live in a city with something like this to go to.

My three year old son was very hesitant and shy, and would cry almost every day at drop off. From…read morethe very start, his teachers were there to comfort him and help him through his day. A couple weeks in, I watched as my son walked away from me in tears and went right into the arms of his teacher. While I was sad to see him upset, my heart exploded when I saw how much he loved and trusted his teacher to make him feel better. I have seen nothing but kindness, love and patience from the teachers and staff at Carousel. Their communication, willingness to treat each individual family with attention and care, and their welcoming classrooms make it an amazing place to care for your babies. I cannot be happier with my experience, and I am so sad that we will have to say goodbye soon!

One older child for after school or during the breaks. Here is what i found . I know i know , you want to scroll down to see which line meets your expectations :) 1) Full day care , awesome, clean, great location, friendly staff, playground ! 2) Need 2 1/2 hr program? yes ! 9 30 - 12 for $25.00 3) Great teachers... Again, its based upon your child's needs and my son never cried here as he cried a lot in previous center so you never know! 4) Flexible flexible : just give them an advance notice and if they have space they will adjust you or switch you from regular time & day. I usually need this when i have to volunteer at my older child's school. 5) Dance/Gym/ Karate: Yes 6) Price: same as other day cares, reasonable. Though there are cheaper ones than this too. 7) Transportation: No link to transportation for after school from other elementary schools. Your own! 8) UPK: Not available as they have their own 2 1/2 hr program. 9) Teaching or learning activities: They keep the kids happy and engaged in various activities. They enforce teaching and learning through various methods but most important difference that i found here from previous place is that they pay special attention to details of each child's behavior. If my son doesn't listen, they make him listen. Previous center they didn't make him sit or listen even if he wandered or walked away from circle time or karate. 10) Technology: No Hi-Fi sci-fi stuff. Simple password entry. Its more like you can think that "the world was much better when apple and blackberries were just fruits". meaning that there was more human touch and emotional bonding. We did not have these issues at home so I began asking questions and would get responses as "it's not the same at home" and frustration so as a new first time mom I started to think maybe I was being too picky. My mom picked him up one day and felt the same way that our little treasure was not himself. So I started to pay more attention. Well one day my husband came to pick my son up at a different than usual time and Liam at 9.5 months was sitting on the floor hysterical and inconsolable the teacher in the room said I don't know why he is like this, he's been like this for almost an hour. Well my husband grabbed his sheet off the counter and seen my son had not been given his bottle in almost 6 hours!!! Now Liam was on 6 ounces every 3 hours! How something like this could happen is beyond me. We immediately pulled him. He went to the doctor for his 9 month check up the following Monday and we learned he only gained 1 lb we spoke with the doctor about why we pulled him and asked about daycare changes and just different questions new parents have. Our pediatrician was concerned about the lack of weight gain and asked is it possible this happened more than just this one incident and that is why he is always upset when we leave because he is hungry. My husband and I started logging when we dropped supplies off in the beginning because it seemed like we were just supplying the entire center with wipes, well I said to my husband lets calculate how many bottle a container of formula makes and see if they had enough. We did the make and they were short 1.5 containers. So they didn't request the formula enough. Now I would not have done this math on a normal basis because I wouldn't find it would be necessary. Our pediatrician setup a follow up appointment for 30 days later to check Liam's weight now that he was not in their care to see if he was gaining appropriately again (I say again because his growth was normal before his stint at sweet angels)- well 30 days later he went in for his weigh after being in what I feel to be the most terrific daycare ever and our sweet little boy gained 2 lbs and was just a happy camper everyday!! His personality was how he was with us on the weekends daily now!! No inconsolable tantrums after daycare...and as far as the diaper soiling accidents the ceased as well! Liam I am proud to say since December has only went through the diaper 3xs at his new daycare!!! Nothing changed diet wise or diaper wise! Always used pampers. Now why would his growth chart be normal and drop for the duration he was at the center and then rebound immediately after changing to a different center. I didn't go public with it until my sister in law just recently removed her son from the infant room because I was worried they would retaliate again him. So I posted a review just like the post I am writing to you both. It was removed saying my review was not on the core product. It was definitely on the core product. They reported it to not look bad so I have been spreading the word now and the owner has called my husband not me and threatened a law suit and said has the money to do it, so why not invest in the center to improve the quality of the children's care!

They said that he refused to participate in class activities and that is why he is "so behind academically." Each day was a battle to drop my son off at this other daycare. He would scream and cry. It literally broke my heart. After hearing the staff talk about my son in such a negative manner, I decided to leave! It was then that I started at Sweet Angels. The staff seemed very warm and welcoming to me and my son. The first day (like I expected) was very rough. He screamed and cried. But to my surprise, when I picked him up, HE WAS PLAYING WITH KIDS AND LAUGHING!! The second day he fussed at drop off and the third day he raced me to the door to get into school. What a difference Sweet Angels has made in our daily lives!! My son is happy to go o school each day, he has friends, the teachers all seem to really care about him and he always participates. We also got to watch the old Disney movies on that big wheeled crt TV. We got to sleep on foldable cots for naptime. I always remember the corners. The left was full of dolls and playsets, the center was full of random toys,​​ amd the right was the book corner where I would sometimes sleep. I always remember 2 out of the 3 computers would be accessible. The best part was the trips we would go various places, the aquatic center, regal theater, various other places. (Its been so long I cant remember) This place was so awesome. Unfortunately Its sad I wont be able to relieve these memories again after the build got sold and completed remodeled.

She listened to me explain exactly what I wanted and was very upfront about what she could do. Erica did an amazing job of texting me every step of the process and keeping me updated with everything. I was so happy to see the beautiful work she put into repairing and reinforcing the seat of a chair. I would highly recommend Erica and her workmanship is excellent!
