What should have been a simple lunch turned into a catalog of problems: Service Issues: * Told 6-minute wait, actually waited 24 minutes * Missing cutlery (only 1 set for 2 meals) * Missing condiments (sweet peppers, Giardiniera) * Overcharged $1.00 despite clear posted pricing Product Quality: * Italian beef sandwich had only 2.8 oz of meat vs. the 7.0 oz indicated by Rosati's own nutrition facts [../nutrition/ * Fries were over-salted Staff Response: When I called about the overcharge, "Karen" gave contradictory excuses, then dismissively said "It is only a dollar. Come by and I will give it to you", showing zero respect for customers' time. I ordered pizza from RosatisPizzaBuffaloGrove.com for an evening delivery. Rosati's delivered the pizza immediately, hours before the scheduled time. I called to ask for a refund, or to have fresh pizzas re-delivered at the appropriate time, and was given the runaround. The woman on the phone at Rosati's Buffalo Grove was incredibly rude, explaining to me that this was somehow MY fault that they read the order incorrectly. They had me call a company called Slice, who handled the online order. I called Slice, sat on hold for 20 minutes, and was told that the restaurant would NOT authorize them to refund the money. I'm out $64 and have a bunch of pizzas that will be cold and crappy by the time guests arrive in 2.5 hours. Apparently this company Slice has purchased the "rosatispizzabuffalogrove.com" domain, and is intercepting online orders for Rosatis. The actual restaurant will take no responsibility for delivering my pizzas 3 hours early. No new pies, no refund, no nothing. Just a smug shrug and a "not our problem." That's a great way to lose customers for your location and every other Rosati's location. This is a garbage pizza shop, and I look forward to cheering when they go out of business. read more

Growing up this was my favorite pizza place for thin crust pizza. As an adult it still absolutely is my favorite. I wish at some point that they add a vegan pizza option with vegan cheese but for now even if I almost went fully vegan I'd still ruin that for this pizza it is that good! They add oregano which is delicious and the sauce is just so flavorful. The cheese is the perfect texture. It is just the perfect ideal pizza I even am perfectly fine with plain cheese. I love the little square slices. They are fun and not overwhelming. When my family has gotten this pizza we have to contain ourselves or we will devour it in 5 minutes no joke. At some point they had altered their recipe and it wasn't quite as good. I think the oregano was missing. For the last few years it has been consistently exactly the way it was when I was a child. When I brought the pizza inside, my boyfriend opened the box and a mouse was sitting in the middle of the pizza and jumped out in my living room. We called the restaurant, using the number on the menu we received and were told that we had the wrong number and that he was going to call the police on us, without asking any additional information or making any attempt to rectify the situation. I received no refund for a pizza that we were unable to eat. We were then faced with having a mouse in our living room the night before we were hosting a Labor Day party, forcing us to spend our night trying to catch the mouse. Both food and especially delivery were horrible. The pizza crust was very undercooked and the delivery guy, JORGE, was the most angry unfriendly man I ever met. He gave me 2 receipts to sign, I did and then asked him which one was his and he tried to hand me his phone to sign on, when I refused to take his phone he got almost violent, stormed off without taking any receipts or his cash tip. I have a Love/Hate with this location. First, let me start off by saying that I LOVE Rosati's pizza. Their pizza is usually pretty consistent across locations. I absolutely love the cheese they use, and their thin crust is perfect. Muah, bravo -bravo. My problem with this location is two things: 1) This location in particular doesn't seem to have a deep-fryer. So things like say, FRENCH FRIES that are supposed to be deep-fried, are not! So they get to your house in the form of little rock-like missiles that are completely inedible. Disgusting. Now, I'm guessing that anything else that is supposed to be fried also has that general problem - not tasting the way it was meant to because these items are expected to be fried. 2) The customer service here is usually borderlines horrible. There's usually a couple young guys working in the back, a couple delivery drivers hanging out, and a teenage phone-girl or two. None of them are very welcoming, friendly or well-mannered. One even went so far as to ARGUE with me when I called back because my order was wrong. Since that, I haven't ordered in probably a year. But these are the type of people who would mess with your food if you piss them off, so I'm super-friendly whenever I go in regardless of any thoughts I'm thinking :) BUT, regardless of my qualms above.... here's the thing: they have some GREAT food. Their pizza I've already told you about, but their Italian Beefs are OMG good. In my book, they top any other famous chicago-land "italian beef joints" (i.e. Buona or Portillo's). They've got great beef, get it on garlic bread, and WOWSERS!!! You've got yourself a party in your mouth. Ordered from here for take-out tonight. Their menu is online so I checked that out prior to calling. Ordered a make-your-own pizza, wings and a Italian beef (cheese) and fries - cook time was about 30 minutes so not bad. Total meal was about $40 so a bit pricey. I think it is worth paying a little bit more since the quality is a lot better than say, dominoes or other similar places. We received it hot and the beef sandwich was huge!!! Lots of mozzarella cheese which I enjoyed. I also got hot peppers but in my opinion they only used a little. I supplemented with some from home. Their fries were amazing. Thick cut and crunchy, I didn't even need ketchup with them. My boyfriend had a make-your-own pizza and he liked it, except the cheese kept sliding off so he had to eat it with a fork/knife instead of by hand. I have lunch here about 1-2 times a month (sometimes more). Their pizza is really good. I like the sausage and pepperoni thin pizza. I've also tried the double dough, but not a big fan of too much dough on my pizza. I tried as a coworker absolutely loves it. I have been ordering from this Rosatis for seven years and the last two times they have screwed the order up. A few weeks ago they left out part of my order. I called back and they noted in my account that I was owed the missing item that had been paid for. Fast forward to tonight. I called and placed an order for our dinner and asked for the missing item (side of meatballs) to be included. When the order arrived the Meatballs again were not included. I called back and asked for the missing item to be delivered. Waited another hour and the dropped off a container with 2 Meatballs with no gravy or marina on them. 3 times they screwed the order up and when I asked to speak with the manager he was very pissy with me and didn't care that they screwed things up.
