Around 5 students share a bathroom and toilet, as well as a small kitchenette, which makes the ratio of heads to showers and hobs much better than elsewhere. They also have all the standard facilities including wireless broadband internet, a bike shed and a laundry. The common rooms and old and beautiful with really old leather-bound books and the surrounding leafy areas are definitely the highlight. Its also close to The Rampant Lion pub, an excellent watering hole. If grimy studentville Fallowfield isn't your thing then Dalton Ellis is probably the perfect halls for you.

Honestly, I know how much I hate the Vicy Park's dessertation, but this place just looks wow! Now, coming to the technicalities, they are mostly packed with single washbasin rooms and also a small number of en suite rooms. On average 5 students share bathroom and toilet facilities. There is also a small kitchenette area for the preparation of snacks and light meal. Facilities include a library, a stage, and netball, tennis and squash courts. These Halls are catered and like all catered halls, if you're in time, you're in for a good meal! If not, oh well, you just missed some good pippin' hot food! Anyhow, a great place to meet new people and leisure around as well. You can only imagine what this place would be like in spring! P*R*E*T*T*Y!

I can't comment on it as a school but as an adult learning environment it's amazing. The courses are extremely reasonable and there's a huge range to choose from. You have to enrol so you do have to provide details about yourself, you can't just turn up. Because it's a school it has very good parking and accessibility and it's always clean, even the toilets. The adult education manager is also fab; very helpful! It's a bit hard to spot from the road but there are signs.

Xaverian College...what a fantastic place…read more This is where I actually became who I am today. I know that sounds silly but this college is fantastic. I learnt more here in two years than I did in five years at high school. The teachers here really bring you out of yourself, they actually care about the students, not just about the grades. I'm still in touch with most of my tutors now, they care what I've been up to since I left and always get in touch to congratulate me on anything I achieve. The range of subjects is vast and the campus keeps getting bigger and better. It's much different to most other colleges as the buildings are spread right out although not too far so you can still walk to all of them comfortably. It's so different to school, everyone is treated as an adult and it was such a good grounding before university, I don't think I'd have been half as prepared for uni if it wasn't for Xaverian.

I can only speak for the music department, but we've had first play on everything from state of the art jamhubs, ukulele classes, African drumming with brand new djembes- not to mention the large work stations with new touch screen computers! The tutors are fantastic and are always on hand for advice and a shoulder to cry on when lessons go wrong! The cafe is fab if a little expensive, the canteen serves amazing street food, soups, main meals, breakfasts, sandwiches, drinks and cakes! Though the one downside to it is that it's too small! Every lunchtime there is a crush to pay and choose food- only bad point!

The teachers are friendly and some will go out of their way to help students get better grades. There are three school buildings vernon curzon and woodbank curzon isnt bad but the other two look really old and could do with a revamp. There are lots of extra activites for pupils to take part in outside of school time such as sports clubs,homework clubs chess clubs,choir and many more. There is a lot of walking around involved when you go to this school as you have to walk inbetween the buildings a lot. I managed to get 11 GCSE's grades A-C here so it cant be bad. Oh, and the school dinners are lovely!
