Holy prices! It always surprises me how expensive places can be nowadays but that was my first reaction when looking at the menu. Offers different coffee options and breakfast. I was really interested in the Ube waffle, and I ordered to go but it did not disappoint. Though it was 20 dollars, you do get a lot of fruits, whipped cream, and additions to the plate. My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Rose Cafe. It's a small but cozy space and the decor is lovely. You order up at the counter then you find a seat. I went with the miso mushroom toast as I was looking for something lighter. I also ordered a cardamom rose latte. The latte was good, I think it just needed a little more flavor from the cardamom and rose. The toast was incredible. Such a lovely cafe addition to Oceanside! This is the cafe of your pink and floral dreams, with delicious treats, drinks, and meals! While their lot may be a bit crowded to find parking, you can always park in the surrounding neighborhoods and side streets. They do have a decent amount of seating indoors and they have a consistent turn over of guests so you can almost always find a table. It's really easy to go ahead and order your food and drinks first and then find your seat. I started out with the iced lavender matcha latte and my husband had the regular matcha latte and we shared the strawberry lychee scone. I absolutely loved my lavender matcha latte as it wasn't overly sweet and you could still taste their quality do matcha. The rehogar matcha latte was just as good! The strawberry lychee scone however was to die for. SO good! Would eat these everyday if it were possible. Just a sweet and light treat! I ordered the protein toast with smoked salmon and my husband ordered the three eggs your way with sausage, fruits, and tots. I originally came here to try their Ube waffles but they were out of Ube and their source for Ube has been difficult to order from so they are working on figuring out a quality Ube they can use for future orders, so I totally understood why they had to temporarily take it off of the menu. Luckily, I was in love with my protein toast with smoked salmon. The sourdough toast was delicious and fluffy, the salmon was fresh (along with the micro greens) and the sesame chili crunch just added so much flavor to the meal as a whole. Everything I have tried (pastries, coffee, salads, dips, sandwiches and more) has been delicious. Most recently, I asked Rose Cafe to cater an event I was throwing for 25 people. They were so easy to work with, helping create a menu including appetizers, main course and dessert. When my stove stopped working the day before the event, they even offered to deliver the main course closer to the time it was being served so it would stay hot without my oven! We ordered the tomato ricotta toast and added prosciutto, the chicken pesto sandwich, and chicken tenders and fries for our son. Went to enjoy breakfast with a friend. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes and a London fog tea hot. The pancakes were soft fluffy moist with just the right amount of butter. The tea was an interesting creation as it was made with milk vice water. Which I have no issues with. However, I am used to introducing the milk later as a form of cream.
