We have gone here for years. We started getting delivery several months ago. I love the egg drop soup! I get the steamed veggies with chicken, it comes with rice. It pairs well with the soup. My daughter is vegan and this is one of the few places that makes her food the way she wants it. For reference, she can't even get a bean burrito with no cheese at other places! All good things come to an end... We've been coming to Rose Garden since I was 5, and for years, it was the most reliable comfort food in town. After I moved away, I would dream of the next time I could eat it, and my folks would order it in right after my plane touched down. ADORED this place. It felt like a part of the neighborhood and my childhood. 24(!) years later, owners have changed, and the menu feels off, different, soulless. DO NOT ORDER from this horrible place. They have a teenager taking orders here for delivery and she isn't taking them down correctly. I don't eat meat and I specifically ordered sesame tofu. Had it repeated back. We're told it'd be an hour for delivery. Our food arrived and it was sesame chicken. We call back and the girl try's to say she didn't make a mistake. I don't know how somebody who doesn't eat meat ordered chicken. She tells me it'll be 45 mins if I want the correct item. Or she says we can drive over there and we have to bring back the incorrect item. So my husband drives over and he politely asks they refund the $5 delivery fee for their mistake. The owner starts screaming at him and acting like a complete lunatic. We just had to drive 10 minutes to have our order corrected that they messed up and they start treating us like dirt? My entire family immediate and extended all live in Arvada and they have been going here for 20 years. After today this place has now lost our entire family as customers. Since we live in Lake Arbor we try to support our local Restaurants, but I will never order from this restaurant again. We have ordered many times, several years ago they were good but the last 3 times the food has been horrible. Last week ordered Sesame Chicken, White meat only and the chicken was over cooked. We also ordered Mongolian Beef, it was the worst I've ever had in my life. It was like the cook just threw unseasoned beef and onions in the to go box. There was no seasoning whatsoever, it was gross, supposed to be spicy, absolutely no sauce just beef and onions. We threw both entries away. The crab cheese wontons were fair, didn't seem to have crab. The eggrolls and soup were the best part of the meal. $38.00 down the drain. Why didn't we complain? Last time ordered from there I took the meal back and an older woman who has worked there for a long time told me they couldn't refund my money and she wouldn't cook me another dish. Rose Garden is our go-to Chinese in Arvada. Their moo shu is delicious and exactly what I want in a moo shu. The Kung pao chicken is a perfect amount of spices if you ask for it hot. They have very generous portions that feed us at least 2-3 meals. I highly recommend Rose Garden! read more

Been ordering from them for 15+ years and always good. Until I ordered from them 3/31/23. I ordered the same things I've always ordered - egg rolls, hot & sour soup, beef fried rice, and chicken fried rice. Prices were suddenly considerably higher, soup was not included in meal, and when food arrived, it was so nasty we couldn't even eat it. Egg roll filling was soggy and soft, soup was tasteless, and meat in both fried rices was mushy and and flavorless. Research after the fact determines that we're not the only ones who have found the change and been unhappy with what used to be really good. Apparently new owners/managers have changed everything, and definitely not for the better. No more Rose Garden for me. read more

This is one of the only Chinese restaurants in town that my family can agree on, but we won't be going back. We ordered delivery at 5:30pm and were told it would be an hour wait for our food. At nearly 7pm we called the restaurant to inquire where our order was and were told that it was "about to leave the restaurant." When I let her know that was an unconscionably long time for Chinese food delivery, she just said "yeah well we got busy." Beware, there have been major changes under the new ownership! Service was nearly nonexistent Saturday evening and the food was awful. Their menu online says they only use fresh ingredients, etc., however, Saturday evening, the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce consisted only of watery sauce, some shrimp, and frozen diced peas and carrots; before, this dish was a delicious combination of lobster sauce, shrimp, snow peas and fresh mushrooms. While I was hoping that the previous owners were just on vacation, I finally reached the manager today, and she confirmed the change of ownership. We won't be back. read more

I'm so sad right now. I've been ordering from Rose Garden for the last 20 years. Ordered today and found out that ownership has changed. The food is no where near the same level it used to be. Different sauce, different rice, different vegetables, different dumplings, no soup with dinner meal, very bland food to say the least. Solid 4-stars! My boys and I just got delivery. We had Sesame chx, Curry chx, Spicy hot chx and sizzling chx and rice soup. We had the lunch specials so 3 of them came with soup, egg roll and one cheese wonton. I tried a bite of everything and I must say, I'm pretty impressed. Obviously this isn't "authentic" Chinese food. It's standard Americanized Chinese food but it was all delicious. I especially enjoyed the curry and the spicy chicken. The sesame was really great too crispy and not as cloyingly sweet as other places. The hot & sour soup was fine after I added soy sauce. A bit bland prior. Egg rolls were ok. Chx soup was pretty good too. We haven't had Chinese in months because our go to place has just gone dramatically downhill. So glad I checked here. I absolutely love Rose Garden's Hot and Sour soup. My wife adds some Swiss Cheese and gives me a bowl full almost everyday for lunch. This soup is very filling, tastes fantastic and has been part of my iong term diet. I have lost over 50 pounds this last year, and directly credit Rose Garden's soup as an important part of my diet. I skip breakfast and have this soup about 6 hours after waking up. My lunchtime soup is my major meal of the day, and you cannot argue with the success I have had with this soup. I will periodically order gluten free Sweet and Sour Pork My wife always orders the Moo Shu Pork and the Cashew Chicken along with the Crab Meat Wontons. Her continually repeating these 3 items shows a love of their taste. Is Rose Garden a National Treasure? Probably not, but it is without a doubt the absolute best Chinese Restaurant in Arvada/Southern Westminster/Northern Wheat Ridge and surrounding areas. Our weekly bill for these pieces of Heaven is around $70. The fact that we continue to pay this week in and week out demonstrates just how satisfied we are with R-O-S-E G-A-R-D-E-N-!!!!! read more

We've been eating at Rose Garden for more than 10 years. Recently, they increased the prices of every dish by $2.00, minimum order amount for free egg rolls increased by $5, and the portion size has decreased so much that we won't be dining there - or ordering delivery service again. I understand that inflation has increased the prices of things, but the quality of the dishes that we enjoyed for over a decade is gone. We weigh our dishes to distribute between the three of us and instead of being able to split 3 ways, we could only split 2 ways. We've probably ordered over 100 meals from Rose Garden over the years and will never order from them again. read more

I am from New England and in my family it is a tradition to order Chinese food on New Years eve. Wasn't able to do that so I grabbed some food a few days later I went into the restaurant and placed order to go and the lady was very friendly and took my order and told me how long it would be. They were fast! I barely had to wait. I ordered sesame chicken and some soup.Got home and the food was so good. Full disclosure, I have never actually dined inside here, I've always ordered delivery. Now, that probably doesn't knock anyone over with a feather, right? It's Chinese. So, I have no idea what the inside of this place looks like. Perhaps it's a "Great Wall of China Motif" or if there are numerous miniature pagodas spread throughout the interior. Couldn't tell ya. But I will tell you, the food is great, and it routinely comes delivered fast, hot and very accurate! I love the flavors, spices and (as all Americanized Chinese food) the quantity of food packed into those white portable to-go boxes. You can barley fit a spoon inside to start digging out the delightful goodness. They pack more food in those containers than Shriners in miniature cars at a circus. Unbelievable. It's like your weird Uncle trying on skinny jeans for the first time...bulges where they shouldn't be, it's so tight, defying physics. They always have a great add-on special as well, like 3 free eggrolls or 6 crab cheese Wontons for an order over$15, just ask.
