Of course the day I come their repairing windows and cutting out the floor to install ATM I came to this establishment cause I needed a asap appointment this place takes walk ins!! When I was going to pay my bill ( they give you ticket) a acquaintance was sitting in a chair she was pissed that she spent $237 in 4 days I looked at her hand all her art work was gone polished was chipped to hell ( gel polish) the nail tech was shhh her and saying I'm correcting it smh I finally get to counter to pay another customer was saying she got her nails done this morning (it's only 2 pm) and polish came off of 2 nails and the 3D art work is trash omg!!! Admittedly, I got lucky! Rose is the closest nail salon to our home, and, after reading a dizzying number of reviews trying to find a place for a pedicure, we decided to roll the dice on proximity. Akron isn't a cheap primping market, but if you have been putting off this bit of self care let me tell you that my first pedicure in over a year literally restored feeling to the toes on my left foot. The hot stone massage went a long way towards that, FYI :) I set out to have a great pedi and I most definitely found one here. This place is huge and clean. A testament to Rose Nails is how quickly the place fills up. I got here at five to ten (the sign said open and they took me) I was the only customer. I went for the first time 2wks ago the day before Mother's Day, so it was really busy. The first person (one of the guys) did my nails and they were messed up, there was lumps, some were longer than others, and some of them were too thick I was upset, but then one of the if the woman fixed my nails and I love them. She did such a good job I asked if I could ask for or make an appointment with her next time, but she said she doesn't usually do nails, she just had to cuz they were so busy. The service: I wanted a pedicure and happily sat down to get my feet looking beautiful again since they looked like corn flakes dipped in cheese. I don't have photos, just wanted to share my experience here. The first time I went they gave me a bottle of massage hand lotion and were super kind. I selected a frost-white polish that I hadn't seen before and he told me they would yellow. Had them on for two weeks and they did not. I asked for several basic designs and he told me he couldn't do any of them. 2nd visit I walked in, signed in and waited 20 minutes before they told me they were full, so I left. Someone was a walk in after me but was told they had room. Tried going a 3rd time but was given an inexperienced technician who got upset because I wanted all white nails on one hand (no design) and all black on the Other hand no design. He hadn't even begun painting yet and it was the most basic design so there shouldn't have been an issue. I was told it was extra for a long length so I chose them short and basic but was then told the price would still be the same. I was dreading taking the time out of my schedule to get my nails done and this place made it worse. Henry did my nails. They were trimmed way too short first. He then did my gel polish which bubbled. He saw there was an issue with my thumb nail and just continued to apply top coat in hopes to cover his mistake. I didn't say anything but left unhappy. After washing my hands with warm water 5 of my nails bubbled and peeled. He knew he had made a mistake and instead of fixing it he continued to rush through it. I grew my eyebrows out just to see Anna, and they are really thick. I asked her to please just clean me up and I didn't want any dramatic arches she said OK and when I looked in the mirror I was pissed she took my Fing eyebrows | look like a Fing muppet, one has a high arch, and the other one is straight across ) she looked at me and said: "ohhhhh to thin???" Uhhh yes. She said "oh I'm sorry don't worry you don't have to pay" as I'm holding back tears because I really wanted to do some angry things. I really wanted to just leave at that point but I had to wait for my child to finish getting her nails done. I let Miss Nancy, who is a wonderful individual and always does a fantastic job with my pedicure, while I waited for my child and I sat in the chair, crying the whole time. Anna did not come back to check on me one time and instead avoided coming to the back completely. Everyone knows Anna does not let people really run the register. When it was time for me to leave and pay for my daughter's nails she went to the back and sent Nancy to the front to ring me out and Miss Nancy didn't know what she was doing at the register (because she works pedicures!!!!) She was confused on how to even work the machine (which again, isn't her fault. She works pedicures!) Oh by the way Anna did offer to draw my eyebrows back on and this really pisses me off because I did like this establishment. I take my daughters, my mother in myself and we all get our nails and pedicures so I'm coming out of pocket hundreds of dollars. But I will not be going back anymore. I came in last year to get my acrylics taken off. Instead of letting them soak, the woman that did my nails used an acrylic nail tip to pry my nails off. Despite me telling her it hurt, she kept going instead of switching to soaking them. My nail in the pic ended up being ripped off and started bleeding. All I got was a sorry, no discount or anything. He ripped my nail off! If anyone has ever had dip polish before, you know the first rule is NEVER try to take it off without filling and soaking the dip off first. This was insane; I sat down and before I knew it he had stuck a tool under a lift in my dip and ripped it off, taking my nail with it (obviously because you can't rip off dip!!!!). I insisted that he stop playing with them and let them soak. While I was soaking, someone came to me and told me that the one color I picked had been misplaced. At that point I was done. Gigi should be fired! My wife has never been treated so unjust, unfairly and disrespected than today 8/4 at 930. After going to this salon multiple times today was the last straw! My wife went in and Gigi thought it would be funny to be rude, nasty and physically abusive in front of all customers and staff. I come here to get my brows waxed and nails done, the last few times I've come here my experience is so rushed, nails never actually done how they are supposed too. The owners dad did my nails last and he slapped my hands and was so rough with me after I told them they were uneven. They were cut down so short and I have a wedding I'm in on Friday. In the past I have had better experiences than I have lately, I drive about 25 to go here even though I live by many nail salons. The last couple times I have gone my nails have just not been good. My last visit was on thursday, my nail tech was nice, asked questions but he seemed like he was trying to rush through my nails. After waiting 1 hour for a fill and a repair on broken mail I was seated at a booth then waited another 30 minutes before the manager said they never should have seated me there. She just started taking off old polish when she stopped to go do a woman's brows. If that was not unprofessional enough while trying to remove my broken nail she sawed down my nail and made it bleed despite me telling her it was hurting. Then proceeds to tell me that I should not put a new nail on it for several days. Yet she refused to remove my other nails with a charge. Even though she caused the issue. Not worth my time and money. I came in for a fill and one full nail repair because my thumb nail from my previous set had broken off.... I asked for regular polish because I didn't want to pay extra for gel but he said they don't have regular polish there... I don't know if that's true or if he just wanted to charge me extra. I've never been to a salon that didn't have regular polish. Anyway, the fill was fine but the thumb nail he fixed was cut way shorter than the rest of my nails so it didn't match, and the gel he used was runny and oily so it looked very spotty and uneven when it dried. I noticed that he put cuticle oil on my nails before starting the fill process and I thought that was wrong but didn't say anything. It's been 5 DAYS and my thumb nail that he fixed just popped clean off. I think the oil that he put on my nails before applying the acrylic is what caused it to come loose so quickly. Not happy with the quality of service and upset I was charged $48 dollars for poor work when I can usually get a full set for less than $30. read more
