I asked if the acrylic needed to come off,he said no he fixed it. 2 weeks later, my nail came off and almost the whole nail is green. I had made an appointment with Nancy. When I got to the shop it was with someone named Sophia. My nail appointment was for 3:30 and my pedicure was for 4:15. At 4:00 I went to the desk and told them to cancel the nail appointment and I'd just get my feet done. The girl at the front told me that it would only be another 10 minutes until she could get to my nails. Like do they really think I have nothing else to do on a Saturday evening?? I finally got into a pedicure chair and sat there for 6-7 minutes before some guy came and ran some water in the tub. Then I sat with my feet in the water another 15 minutes before someone named Lenin came and started the pedicure. My appointment was with someone named Paul. Now , Lenin did a decent job but I will never go back there again. It's ridiculous to make appointments way in advance and them be so far behind it takes up my whole time. read more

I have used their services before, but today was my last time. First, I am black and I was made to feel like a second class citizen. I was placed in a back area with no other customers. But, the four other caucasian customers that came in with me were seated in the front area. The person doing my nails, (Emily) rushed through my nail application as if she was trying to get rid of me. They later seated a black man beside me. When I checked out with my short nails, they charged me $5.00 for choosing an oval shape and $5.00 for "long" nails which I didn't have. When I questioned these charges, I was told my nail length was calculated from my cuticle to the nail tip which was approximately 1/2 inch. Not very long and I have never been charged for choosing a shape. I would not recommend this shop, especially if you are African American. I am attaching a photo of my "long"nails. I usually don't publicly complain, but this was infuriating to me and I had to speak up. Whether you agree or not, this is my experience. read more

Look at this quality. Charged an extra $5 for this. They aren't even the same shape. Took over 1.5 hours for a set of nails. Extremely rude front desk man. He is not only rude to employees but also other customers. I have witnessed it multiple times. When you drop over $300 in a day, he makes you feel like a burden for finding a place to sit. Doesn't offer anything to drink, up-charges for every little thing, and then the nails suck and aren't even the same shape. I am not able to stay on a 2-3 week schedule because I live a little over an hour away. I will usually call when I'm on my way and schedule. Tuesday I called to schedule with a choice of 2 techs at 3:30 the lady on phone says 3:15 so, I'm like, ok. had a prior appointment that took a little longer than expected, made it there at 3:27 and the man at the front desk was so rude, rolling his eyes at me and said I could be seen by someone else. I have went there in the past and have left with dips in my nails or some nails bigger than others. when you drive that far and pay that much for something you need to be happy with it. will Not be back there since he was so ruuuude!!! Due to Covid many changes were made that really help the customer feel safe. They have plastic partitions between you and provider of service. All customers wear a mask and wash hands before service. I felt very safe and as always loved the job they did. Make sure to book appointment before you arrive so they are planning on you:-). read more

UPDATED BELOW: I only allow Amy to do my nails so I can't vouch for anyone else. She allows me to be in my own world (which I prefer after a long day after work), does exactly what I ask for, and doesn't bother me by asking if I want something extra. FYI: This is a full acrylic set with "natural pink" powder. No shellac, just precision. Also, they are the only shop in Lufkin with this shade of pink powder. Must make an appointment with her to guarantee with her. Update: I recently stopped going. Myself and my mother both. One week she called me upset because her appointment was running 40 minutes behind. I went the following weekend. 1st Issue: I specifically asked for the OPI gel polish book. Was just handed whatever book they had available. No explanation on if the book I wanted was just not available or what. 2nd Issue: When I came in, someone that I know personally was being seated at her table. Thinking it'd be quick, I sat down. 3rd Issue: I waited for 34 minutes before being called to her table. When I got there, I watched at she serviced someone else's brows. 2 PEOPLE HAD GONE BEFORE ME ALTHOUGH I HAD AN APPT. I finally left when I realized that I had been sitting there for 17 additional minutes. I now go to another salon across town. I was okay with Rose being one of priciest places in town as long as the customer service was good. When the service failed so epically, I left and have never went back. I spend nearly $300/mo in there. Every time time counts. You lost two good customers because I took my mother with me. read more

Upon arrival, the boy at the desk was condescending about getting her nails done because she is young. Then they stopped speaking in English and started pointing. AFTER they said we could no longer have who we had made an appointment with in advance. Also, I stopped going here months ago because they crank the timer to get people in and out. I came here on a spur for a pedicure. They got me right in. Chris did my pedicure. I asked for the deluxe pedicure; I wanted a little pampering. It was great. The atmosphere was nice, and I'm really happy with the quality. I would definitely go back, and definitely recommend to others. read more

This was my first nail salon experience in Lufkin. I walked in on Friday, was able to sign in and see the next available person to service me within 10 minutes. The lady who did my nails was Candy, I let her know that I wanted a full set rounded square nail with shellac and she told me it would be $47, and since I wanted a design on 2 fingers it would be an additional $10 ($5 for each finger), so $57 in total. Initially I was fine with the prices until I realized that she was unable to successfully do the design that I wanted. After she finished with the designs and they were supposed to be dry, I reached in my purse and the paint began to spread all over my nail, so in the end, I requested that she just remove the design and give me a gold accent nail in turn. Super clean, and friendly staff, but gel manicure was awful. I asked them to fix two fingers which looked especially bad. They gladly obliged. A different technician that did then asked me if I had a manicure or just gel and was shocked when I said manicure. The gel started lifting after two days and was clumpy and uneven. The nails themselves were also unevenly shaped. Don't plan on revisiting. read more

This is a very tense environment it's not relaxing and they take FOREVER!! I usually dont write reviews but i signed up for yelp JUST for this because i look at reviews before i go anywhere and thought they had decent reviews but believe me i have NEVER had to spend as much as they had charged me for mani and pedi. $105!!!! And i was there for 3 hours (thats with no waiting). I will never go back. Even my nails are crooked and my white has dark spots from her filing it. HORRIBLE! read more

Called around 9am for an appointment and was able to be seen for a pedi around noon. The man who serviced me kept on falling asleep during my foot massage. He had a rash on his arm that he kept on scratching with his gloved hand and then touching my foot again. I hope I don't get anything. This was not a relaxing experience. Visited here and got a mani and pedi. When getting my pedi I was asked if it was okay to remove my anklet (silver James Avery with a charm) and I said yes. When my pedi was over they rushed me to my mani table, the employee doing my pedi brought over all my belongings a few min later (or so I thought). When I was leaving they attempted to double charge me for two manicures and two pedicures claiming I came in with a friend- which I didn't. Flustered, I forgot to ask where my anklet was. Called the next day to ask them about my anklet and the man who answered the phone was rude, refused to look for or ask about my anklet, and didn't even ask me where I was sitting, who my technician was, or my information to call me if they "found" it. I'm guessing they have a $70 anklet now, I'm mad at myself for trusting them and will not be revisiting. 4 days later the shellac is already peeling up on my hands and feet.
